Happy Friday!

I saw my doctor yesterday for my arm/shoulder/neck pain…and it’s more specialists and increasing meds. Hello? I’m not going to just mask this with pills. We’re pretty sure it’s a pinched nerve, among other things. The x-rays showed some problems with my neck, but nothing in my arm and shoulder. So now I wait for more referrals.

I was frustrated when I got home. Wizard, however, had the solution.  Right after dinner, he left then returned with these:

Two extra-large Hershey’s chocolate bars. The man is crazy but in the absolute best way! He always knows how to cheer me up and make me laugh.

So what gesture cheers you up?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Gah! I hate doctors with they’re ‘we’re not sure what’s wrong, so we’ll try this… and this… and this… but meanwhile, here’s some drugs we aren’t sure will work’. I would poke them in the eye for you if I could. Did you hear what’s been happening with Maya Banks? (I follow her on FB.) From what I gather, they screwed up a surgery on her and she’s been living with the aftereffects for 4 years. Only just now did she find someone who figured it out and who is fixing her. Ugh.

Yay for Wizard and his cheering-up abilities!

I don’t know about gestures, but I like to let little things amuse me. Like yesterday, I wandered into the living room and looked out the front window. There was a squirrel laying in the grass on his stomach with his back legs stretched out behind him, looking like he was the most comfortable squirrel ever. Other squirrels were running around behind him and he was like ‘dude, whatever, I’m chillin’. I about fell over laughing. Whatever else may be going on in my life or in the world, I can count on the squirrels to amuse me.

B.E., Thank you for the doctor sympathy, seriously. What I probably need are targeted cortisone shots, but getting the right doctor seems to be an ordeal and is costing me a lot of $$.

No I didn’t hear about Myra. I’ll go stalk her FB and see if I can catch up. I’m so sorry to hear she’s going through such a tough time.

I love your squirrel story! I can picture the squirrel laying there with his legs all stretched out, a totally cool dude :-)

Hope you have a great weekend!

Sorry about the doctor visit. I know how it feels only I haven’t had all the tests and stuff because our deductible in 13K and unless I’m dying I’m not forking it over. I am going to try traction. Hubs bought a machine from his chiropractor at cost. We’ll see this weekend. Youngest also has me trying CBD oil balm tonight ;). I’ll let you know Monday how it works out.

    Love Wizard :)!

B.E.’s squirrel sounds way too cute :).

    Have a great weekend.

Viki, I wondered why you hadn’t had the tests, but wow, 13 K out of pocket? I wouldn’t do it either if I could avoid it. Someone else was telling me traction helped them, so I hope it does for you too!

Wizard and I worked up our own version of PT at the gym to see if it helps me. At this point, I don’t think I’m going to damage anything, so why not? Doing something is better than nothing.

Hope you have a great weekend too!

I totally blanked out that I hadn’t comment. *headdesk* Chocolate is awesome. My go-to is a venit mocha frappacino light. And squirrels. Squirrels are always good for a laugh. I had my own close encounter with two of them today. I was outside replenishing feeders and putting fresh water in the dog pools. I was standing right next to a tree with a large branch. The two were chasing each other and one jumped on my head to spring to another branch on the tree. The second ran down the branch right in front of me. I thought the dogs were gonna go nuts.

Viki, I sympathize with the deductible! Hopefully our health insurance situation will improve, deductibles will be affordable, as will the premiums. Feel better soon!

Jen, wish I had some wise words for you. Pinched nerves are the worst to find, treat, and get rid of. Hopefully, you’ll find a doc with a solution soon!

    Have a good weekend, everyone!

Silver, you released a new book, right? I’ll go find and buy it!

LOL on the squirrels! That’s like a movie scene :-)

We can only hope on insurance.

Thanks on my pain, we’ll get it sorted out, I’m just frustrated.

    Have a great weekend!
