Weekend Roundup

It’s been a pretty good weekend all things considered. Wizard and I finally pulled the trigger and booked our airline tickets to go to Florida for the NINC Conference in October. It’s at a beautiful resort right on the gulf and we’re both excited. I’m going to split my time between going to workshops and hanging out with Wizard. I just hope nothing goes wrong and I can get on that plane now that we’ve bought expensive airline tickets. We still can’t get any resolution with my physical problems including nerve pain, tinnitus and queasiness which can making flying an interesting challenge. But you know, sometimes you just have to leap and hope it’ll work out.

Otherwise, I wrestled with the book and rewriting pages. I had to fix a timeline issue that I knew was going to be a problem weeks ago, but I kept fighting it. It’s so irritating when I do that! I waste more time trying to make it work instead of going back and fixing it all. I really love how Liza and Justice have both grown so much, and their love really will triumph in Savaged Devotion.

After this book is done, I plan to take a break, then I’m really looking forward to getting back into the Wing Slayer Hunter World to tell Eli’s story in Primal Magic and Ram and Ginny’s story in Fallen Magic. Frankly, I, and maybe the world in general, could use a little magic right now.

So that was my weekend, how was yours?

Finger crossed for your trip! I hope everything works out and you have an awesome time. Yay for getting it figured out even if the process was irritating. I cannot wait for the finale! Take a break. You’ve earned it. Then get writing again because I can’t wait for more Wing Slayer Hunters!

I spent most of the weekend weeding crutch words out of Wish Hits the Fan and I’ll be ready to send it off to the editor today. I also did a little fishing, and some reading, and watched TV. It’s all good.

I may give NINC a try in 3 years, when RWA is in San Francisco. I want to go but budget… You and Wiz will have an AWESOME time!! :D

I’m almost done with my next Kindle World novella, which is good since it releases on August 29th. Nothing like sliding into that ol’ deadline.

We had rain. It was wonderful.

You’ll get the book straightened and fingers crossed for a resolution/solution/diagnosis on the physical stuff. My right ear is still giving me fits from the con crud stuff. I may have to break down and get it looked at. Ugh. Okay, break times over. Gotta get off the net and more words written today!

B.E., thanks! I still have a lot more to do, but I’m trying as best I can around limitations. This too shall pass :-)

Awesome on getting Wish Hits the Fan off to the editor today! I’m jealous and happy for you! I hear you on those crutch words, they sneak in on drafts no matter how hard I try.

    Have a great Monday!

Silver you have a lot going on with RWA, so that makes sense. I really learned a lot from NINC the previous year I went. But RWA has some great programs too.

Uh, yeah, you’re really close to your deadline, but you’ll make it! You always amaze by pulling it off.

    Rain sounds wonderful.

Uh oh on your right ear. It sounds like you needed it looked it soon. Better to get that taken care of now. And I hope so on this book. It shouldn’t be this hard, but it always is :-)

I hope all works out health wise so you and a Wizard get to go to Florida and have a great time as well as enjoy the conference.

    I’m loving Justice and Beth.

You deserve a break when Savaged is done. You have been dealing with too much and need some time to heal.

I hope you have a wonderful evening.

Oh, PeeWee is doing SO much better today. He even held his duck today?.

Viki, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And awesome news on PeeWee!

Thanks for the good wishes, I think Wizard and I will be able to go, and we’ll make the best of it. :-)

That means so much on Justice and Liza. I wish all this physical stuff had happened after the the third book was done, but that’s life so I’ll make it work.

Hope you have a great birthday!
