Friday Five

Let’s do Friday Five where we talk about 5 random things from our week

  1. I’ve felt better the last two days than I did Tuesday as far as the headache! Yay! The rest is a constant battle, but we all just do the best we can one day at a time, right?
  2. Wizard thinks I’m the best wife ever :-) Last night, I made him homemade chicken nuggets. If you haven’t done it, trust me, it’s a messy, time-consuming process. It’s probably been three or four years since I last made them for him, partly because I try to feed Wizard a somewhat healthy diet. But he’s been asking for them, so I made them. Wizard was so excited, he may have eaten too much :-) Don’t feel sorry for him, I think he was secretly adding extra wine to my glass when I wasn’t looking to keep me happy while I was prepping and cooking. Now I’m dead tired as I’m writing this blog, which I think was part of his plan to keep me from working more tonight :-). Sneaky Wizard.
  3. Wizard also has a wicked bad case of car fever. The car we’re going to replace is eight years old–we keep our cars for a long time. We were originally going to wait a few more months, but it depends on how bad Wizard’s car fever gets, LOL!
  4. Wizard told me last night at dinner that he really misses Bailey. You know what I think? He’s softening toward the idea of getting a dog! It’ll take another six months or so, but maybe??? (And just so everyone knows, we’ll only get a dog if we’re both committed.)
  5. I’m making progress on Savaged Devotion! It’s slow and hard to measure because of my crazyass process, but the important  thing is I’m making progress, and Justice and Liza are pushing me to finish their story. Not only do they want their love validated, but there are characters in this story that really need to be taught a lesson!

Bonus Friday Five: I need the Wing Slayers to hush up and let me finish this book before I think about Eli and his desperate need to find his mate Savi, or how Ram and Ginny can get their happily ever after!

Okay that’s my Friday Five plus a bonus. Now it’s your turn! And I hope you have a great weekend!

Gah. I hope your headache leaves and stays away for good. Homemade chicken nuggets are awesome. I used to make them. Now I just buy them. I found a good frozen kind I like that aren’t expensive, so it’s all good. New dog / new car… which will be first, I wonder. If you give Wizard a new car, will he be more amenable to a new dog? Yay for progress on SD!

    1) Things are ramping up for the launch of Wish Hits the Fan. Yay.
    2) Not sure what I’m going to do after that. Write more? Edit another book?
    3) I caught the teeniest little bass yesterday. He didn’t know he was tiny, though. As I was reeling in, he kept jumping like a big bass. So cute. I wished him well and sent him on his way. Get bigger, little dude.
    4) I finally got around to working on a newsletter and I can’t get it to let me login to the site. Dirty buggers. I’ll try again today.
    5) I need more coffee. And a donut. And a nap.

B.E., frozen is definitely easier. New car will be first for sure :-)

    1) Good news on Wish Hits the Fan
    2) It’s nice to have choices on what t do next.
    3) May your returned bass grow big and strong.
    4) I feel for you on sign in issues. I haven’t had that particular aggravation in a while so I’m knocking on wood.
    5) More coffee here too!

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Great news on the headaches. I hope they stay away!
    2. You are a good wife. That’s quiet a bit of work. Love that Wizard jeeps your wine glass full ;).
    3. Oh a new car :). Does he have it narrowed down to what he’d like most?
    4. I see a French Bull Dog riding shot gun ;).
    5. Very happy to hear Savaged Devotion is coming along.
5a. Eli, let Jenn finish this book and get some rest. Then bug the crap out of her ;) ;).

    1. PeeWee is having problems with bowels and going back to the vet tonight :(.
    2. I’m super tired and all I want is coffee and hubs says no :(.
    3. Saturday my girlfriend’s daughter gets her RN and the party is Sunday. Hubs never goes to any parties but jumped at going to this one. Yes, this is my coffee buddy :).
    4. Bought myself a steamer for my birthday. Can’t wait to try it out tomorrow on some pants :).
    5. Off to Trader Joe’s tomorrow. It’s the 25th anniversary and they’re doing cool stuff all day. I really just want to pick up some cards. They’re really nice cards and only $.99.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I opened this like at 6:30 a.m. And then wandered off. Ah well.

Yay on the headache being gone. Here’s hoping Justice and Liza and the Wingslayers don’t give you another one! Yeah, new car, new dog riding shotgun. That works. ;) Homemade chicken nuggets? I think I’d just buy some chicken tenders, dip them in beer batter and deep fry those puppies. Easy peasy. Okay, my five.

    1. LG had to be at the airport by 5:40 a.m. today. That man needs to fly more. Just sayin’… (Had to explain check-in/boarding procedures to him like five times)

    2. I’m putting together a Powerpoint presentation for OKRWA tomorrow. I keep finding pictures of bare-chested men to use. It’s a chore.

    3. I’ve figured out the plot holes with the WIP due next week. With LG gone, I’m on my own to finish it.

    4. We’ve had MASSIVE amounts of rain. We needed it, just not all at once!

    5. At this point in the day, there’s not enough coffee in the world. I’m thinking nap.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Viki, we’re looking at a Camry SE. And I’d love a Frenchie riding shotgun, but if we ever do get a pup, he’ll probably be from the local shelter :-)

    1) Oh poor PeeWee! I hope it’s not serious, he’s been through enough. I bet his parents are tired too.
    2) Hubs should give you coffee :-(
    3) Congrats to your girlfriends daughter! An RN is an achievement to be proud of. And LOL on your hubs–he doesn’t want to miss out :-)
    4) So the steamer is a clothes steamer? I was originally thinking like a rice or veggie steamer. Hope you love it!
    5) I need cards! I should go to Trader Joe’s too, but I’ve spent way too much time running around this week.

I hope you had a great birthday and have a wonderful weekend! Keeping my fingers crossed fro PeeWee.

Silver, I wander off alllll the time, so I totally understand!

    1) LG is lucky to have you to rely on to walk him through it. But I bet he’ll do fine.
    2) Look at how much you’re sacrificing to put bare chested men in your powerpoint presentation. I’d pay attention for sure!
    3) LG helps you plot, right? But on the upside, maybe you’ll have fewer distractions to work? (My whole week has been bursting with distractions).
    4) There’s a reason for that saying, When it rains, it pours. Can’t we get a nicely distributed about of rain?? Hope there’s no serious flooding.
    5) Hope you got a nap in1

Have a great weekend! I’m around if I can help with your plot holes :-)

Hi Jenn – A Camry sounds nice :).
PeeWee is feeling better. They changed his meds.
It is a clothes steamer. I was sick of my yoga pants (no, I don’t do yoga ;) ) being wrinkled. I still haven’t tried it out since it’s too hot to wear them right now :).

    Have a wonderful Sunday!
