Wednesday Worthy

I came on here to post my Wednesday Worthy blog and found a really snarky comment on one of my past Wednesday Worthy posts. I hit spam and delete, and was just going to forget about it because I don’t care. But then I thought I’d take a second to share my philosophy on crap like this.

Ready? I’m going to be blunt here.

SOME PEOPLE SUCK. That’s right, they suck, and they are such miserable creatures who desperately want our lives to suck too.

Not happening. Not in my life. I’m too old and wise for that shit. My life is full of love, family, friends, a sweet foster pup, hard work, joy, fun, and yes, there are annoyances, pain and tragedies too. But even as Wizard and I are dealing with hearth-breaking news about a beloved family member, I’m witnessing some amazing love that makes my heart swell and fills me with eternal hope. Honest to God, there is joy and love even in tragedy. No one wants to go through it, but there are real lessons about the human spirit and how we rise to the challenge.

I absolutely refuse to let PEOPLE WHO SUCK tarnish that for one second longer than it takes for me to click the delete button. You don’t have to either. Let’s not allow PEOPLE WHO SUCK to ruin even one minute of our day. We have too much to celebrate, and we have people and animals who need us. They deserve our passion and energy.

Okay I’m done with that :-)

So little Maggie is charming us, challenging us and amusing us. Yesterday she scared us when she got sick. We ran her into the vet tech at the shelter and she looks okay. We’re doing another round of antibiotics to clear up any remaining problems. I’m not a fan of a lot of antibiotics, but she was on the streets then in a shelter, so it’s the wisest course of action right now. She’s growing more confident each day, and is testing boundaries which is fine. She’s a source of love and joy, and we’re grateful for this special girl in our lives right now.

And my little brag–I got her to go in her kennel on her own for the first time yesterday! She may not do it again tonight, but it’s still a big step for her.

Okay let’s get to our Wednesday Worthy Candidate. I found him on Depositphotos yesterday.

What do you think, is he worthy?

Gah. Some people really do suck. And that’s why I monitor my comments. No snarky crap gets past this gatekeeper. Admittedly, it’s been a while since anyone tried, but I keep the gates up anyway. Sorry it happened to you. (And yeah, I know you don’t have the time or energy to monitor your comments. :hugs:) Yay for Maggie!!

Yeah, this one is worthy. Although, the black background with the black briefs makes him look like his nether regions have disappeared. A horrible spell gone awry. Ack. ;o)

Leaves more to the imagination, B.E. ;)

And yeah, stupid people suck. The world is full of them. That’s why I tend to ignore FB but for when I have to be there and why I don’t read reviews. Generally. There was one that gave me a 1 star because she hated Cyrus Barron and thought he was every name in the book that rhymes with despicable. Uhm…D’UH! Can you say “Villain”? Anyway…

Yay for Maggie. I’m surprised she didn’t show stress about going back to the shelter. I remember taking one of our shelter dogs back to meet another dog we were thinking of adopting. He was so freaked we had to make arrangements to introduce them elsewhere. Kodi and Tucker became best friends. But that’s good for Maggie. It helps her know that she gets to return home with her people.

Stay strong, m’friend. I know you are, but remember to take care of yourself while you’re taking care of those you love. *BIG HUGS*

Oh. And yeah. TOTALLY worthy! :D

B.E., Most of the spam comments are caught in the filter and I never see those. But I really don’t want to monitor comments.

    Maggie thanks you :-)

LOL on his briefs. Maybe the photographer was being artistic?

    Happy Hump Day!

Silver, a perfect example of people who suck. Cyrus is a great villain, by the way.

I wondered if Maggie would be stressed at the shelter, but seems okay. We didn’t go in the front, but through the “surrender” door where it’s quieter and calmer. That many have helped.

Your dog’s reaction is pretty normal. A shelter is a very high stress environment for dogs.

And thanks Silver, we are doing much better now that some of the shock and disbelief has worn off. I really appreciate you being there when I needed you :-)

Totally agree, some people are just horrid and don’t deserve the air they waste.

Love Maggie :). She has come a long way in just the few short weeks she’s been with you. A testament to all of you :)!

This guy works. I love B. E.’s comment about the background. I thought the same thing. What a shame his nether region has gone astray ;).

Went to see Harrison today. Thought Cassie was going to lose it ;). She gave me the baby to hold and she expects you to sit in a straight back chair in the middle of the room where PeeWee can’t get to you. Well, I didn’t sit. I held him and walked all around while patting (hard, unlike them) his back to get the gas out. Her face said it all, but I still didn’t sit. I hope it taught her that he isn’t china but a baby. By the way, he’s doing great :).

    Have a good night.

Viki, yeah, Maggie has come a long way. She’s a fun pup, and really wants to please (most of the time, LOL).

Okay that’s pretty funny about Harrison’s mom! I understand where she’s coming from since Harrison came early, and Cassie went through a lot. I’m sure you helped her realize he’s tougher than she thinks. And that said–Harrison obviously has parents who want nothing more than to love and protect him. More kids need moms and dads like that :-)

I love hearing that he’s doing great!!
