Weekend Roundup

So how did you do with the time change? A few of you are in states that have the good sense to NOT MESS WITH TIME (I’m looking you, Arizona). So Saturday afternoon, I reset all my clocks, and dang, I was proud. I was ahead of schedule!

Then Wizard ruined it. “Witch,” he called out from upstairs, “Did you reset your clocks?”

Ha! Usually Wizard is the one who does all this, so I happily shouted out, “Yes I did! Even my watches!”

He came down the stairs and says, “You set them all ahead an hour. It’s Fall Back, not Spring Ahead.”

And sure enough, he was right. I’m rolling my eyes so hard as I type this, I’m giving myself a headache. How is it I can keep an entire Wing Slayer Hunter world in my brain, but I can’t figure out how to set the clocks back an hour for the time change???

I’m writing this before we go to dinner for our anniversary, but I’m assuming it’ll be really good and we’ll have a great time.

How was your weekend?

P.S. I may not be able to answer comments until later in the day.

Happy Friday!

Ugh, the heat! Here in Southern CA it’s hot and dry, and both Wizard and I are cranky. Plus, I hate writing a synopsis, and I’m trying to write two of them for the next two books in the Savaged Series; Savaged Vows and Savaged Devotion. You all know how I love these books, but getting all the story beats and emotion into a synopsis for my editor is a massive challenge. I’ll get there–I always do, but I seem to like to take the long way :-) I think a lot of it is just the weather, sinuses and Wizard’s back issues getting to me. Today will be better!

I have something to look forward to this weekend–it’s our anniversary and we’re going to one of our favorite restaurants on the beach. Being married to the love of my life for a few decades is something to celebrate and I’m really looking forward to it!

Do you realize the holidays are here? My calendar is already filling up with Thanksgiving and Christmas plans! Wasn’t it just summer? And how can it be the holidays when it was over 90 here yesterday? I’m confused, LOL!

What are your plans this weekend? Whatever it is, let’s all have a great weekend!

Wednesday Worthy

I can’t say I’m in love with this candidate although I like the idea of the leather jacket. But that’s just me.

Muscular male in blue jeans and black jacket wearing on shirtless body. Isolated on grey background.

What do you think? Is he worthy?

Happy Halloween!

Beware of the monsters!

halloween-2016-cookie-corky-and-max

Yeah, I’m not scared either, LOL! These are CPA Boy and Special K’s pups. From left to right is Cookie, Max and Corky. All three of them pretty much have the same expression of WHY MOM? WHY???

This weekend had a surprise–my final edits came back from my editor earlier than I expected, and my editor’s comments filled me with wild joy. The ending made her cry, and she expressed how much she really, REALLY loves and believes in this story more than any we’ve worked on together. Since Sasha is my toughest critic (as she should be!), her words make the months of writing and rewriting, the two rounds of grueling edits and lying awake nights wondering if I’d totally lost my mind trying to tell this story, all worth it. Her email was true validation. The final edits are easy, and I did the 95% of them all yesterday. Of course, after I get this copy edited, I have to sit on this book while I write the next two because I’m determined to release these close together :-)

Sunday I met Biker Witch for lunch and had fun! This morning I’m headed to the gym. I’ve only been once it two weeks due to my work schedule, and man, I FEEL it when I don’t work out. I need to do cardio to stay loose and feeling my best. Then tonight Wizard and I will hand out candy to trick or treaters.

How was your weekend and do you have any Halloween plans?

Happy Friday!

I sent off Savaged Dreams to the editor for her final round of editing. So for me, it’s a definite…

Man Relaxing

My editor and I were discussing the Savaged Trilogy series, and what is the best way to release these books. We believe we should hold off until next year, and then release these books back-to-back about a month apart. We strongly believe that will make readers the happiest, especially since the books are about the same couple, Justice and Liza. Justice is a rising rock star seeking fame, and Liza is a woman with an explosive past who’s been living in obscurity. Their love is a collision of their hearts and worlds. The first book is 80K words–that’s a full length novel. The second and third books will be roughly the same size. This is a big story that I really believe in and I want to do it right. So my team and I are going to be working on a plan and keep you all up to date. I’m going to be writing, writing and writing!

And on top of that, the Wing Slayer Hunters, Eli and Ram in particular, are really nagging me. I swear, I’m going to figure out how to write their stories and release those back to back, although it won’t be until after the Savaged Trilogy is finished. I hate that I’ve left it this long, and I miss that world so much.

My next week is going to be seriously organizing, planning books and handling all the details to set this up. Then I’m going for it, full-bore. I’m so committed, I actually contacted some house cleaners to get estimates, and one is coming by in the morning :-) I hate doing it, but it’ll take some pressure off while Wizard’s so seriously limited with his back, and give me more time to write (and go to the gym!).

I’m excited guys! It’s nice to feel energized again.  Nearly a year ago, things came to a screeching halt due to Real Life, and it’s just been a battle since then. But this last month to six weeks have been better (except for Wizard’s back!), and I’m hopeful things will stay on this path for a while.

As for this weekend, I’m hoping to have lunch with Biker Witch, do some reading and work.

What are you doing this weekend?

Wednesday Worthy

I want to thank you all for helping to promote SAVAGED SURRENDER! I really appreciate it.! You guys rock!

I’m moving along quickly on the revisions/edits of SAVAGED DREAMS and will send that to my editor today for the final round of edits. I’m going to take a few days to get caught up on life, then I’ll turn my writing the next two books, SAVAGED VOWS and SAVAGED DEVOTION written as quickly as I can. (And just so everyone knows, I haven’t forgotten about the Wing Slayer Hunters.)

In other news, it’s official, we are going to wait three more months for Wizard’s back surgery. This is so not fun waiting and waiting while he’s in serious pain, so I’m going to need a lot of wine and chocolate, STAT! Of course, I may have told Wizard that getting a dog would make him feel better. And he’s so desperate…he kind of believes me :-)  On the other hand, I can’t handle taking care of a dog right now so I’m talking myself out of it, LOL!

Now for Wing Slayer Worthy.

Savaged Surrender Release Day!

It’s release day for Savaged Surrender!

savaged_surrender_600x900

Kindle  /  iBooks  /  Nook  /  Kobo  /  Google Play

Here’s the blurb for Savaged Surrender!

Being bad has never been so sexy…

Bad boy Ethan Hunt is sexy, hard and tainted by a past he can’t escape. To make matters worse, good girl Ana Kendall is a wicked temptation impossible to resist. She’s too innocent for him, so he leaves, joining the security team for the world tour of the internationally famous rock band, Savaged Illusions.

Being good has never satisfied…

Since moving in with her dad at fourteen, Ana’s been the perfect daughter, friend, student and employee. But perfection sucks. When her girlfriends cook up a ridiculous scheme to reunite her with the one man she can’t forget, Ana hijacks their plot. It’s time to shed her good girl persona and go after what she wants—Ethan.

Being bad together is deadly…

When Ana bursts back into his life at a concert, Ethan has to make a choice. Consumed by fiery passion, Ana and Ethan surrender to their sensual desires…and unknowingly ignite the rage of an insidious stalker. This time Ethan can’t walk away—Ana’s life, and his heart, are on the line.

If you loved Kat and Sloane from The Plus One Chronicles, I think you’ll really enjoy this sexy long novella. Savaged Surrender stars Ethan and Ana, two very popular secondary characters from The Plus One Chronicles. I’ve wanted to tell their story for a while and I’m thrilled to bring it to you now! However, if you haven’t read the Plus One Chronicles, this also works as a stand alone novella :-) I hope you’ll give it a try!

My weekend was fantastic! I checked with my editor, and she doesn’t need the book I’m finishing edits on, Savaged Dreams, until later this week. That really gave me some breathing room. I was able to work on some release promo, go to lunch with a friend and take a few more days doing a final pass on Savaged Dreams before sending it off. I’m so grateful for that!

How was your weekend?
