I’m back! My son helped me clean off the stubborn and infuriating  McAfee and install other anti-virus software. Let me just say that having a son who works for Best Buy and with the Geek Squad totally rocks! Once that was done, we were running more scans and checking things.

For the record, McAfee worked fine until it was due to expire and somehow froze. I wasn’t actually mad about that. Stuff happens. It’s the customer service and tech support, or lack of it that would leave me on hold for an hour, then when I did get a live person, suddenly disconnect me, that was frustrating me. I just couldn’t get help.

So that’s done and I’m one happy witch!

Except I’m still doing revisions. It’s going okay, just not fast enough!

Now under the category of “old business” Linc thought I should mention the winner of The Clean vs Dirty Naked Slayer. And the winner is:

CLEAN NAKED SLAYER! Kudos to cleanliness, LOLOL!!!

Linc has informed me that it’s time for a Cage Fight.

I told him that I am buried in revisions. I am just half way through and totally have a Dragon Brain.

Linc grinned and said,  “No worries, witch, I’ll take care of everything! Have an appletini.”

I drank of the offered appletini and everything after that is kind of a blur…I’m sure I told Linc to keep the fight clean and dignified. I remember something about a Clean Slayer fighting…oh well how bad could it be?

Jen was busy (that witch works too much,  she should lighten up), so I volunteered.  Sadly,  our returning champion, Hugh Jackman/Wolverine is off on a crime fighting mission.  I know how popular Hugh is, but I think I found a way to still keep your…uh…attention.

The only question left is: Do you like your fights Clean or Dirty?

Did you notice? The little blog is now a full fledged website! I’m really excited about it. I started planning this a couple months ago and am very pleased with how my web designer Frauke at Croco Designs did it.  She worked with my existing template as much as possible and I’m very happy. We’re adding a newsletter, and she may have some more tweaking, so bear with us!

I wanted to do a Cage Fight today, and I asked Linc…but he’s not speaking to me. Just turned around and stormed off.

See, Linc has been whining that he has very little action in Phoenix’s book, or Key’s.  The man followed me around, complaining day and night.  I could not get a break from his harping on this.

So finally I gave him a scene in Key’s book.

You’d think he’d be happy, right? The whole scene sort of revolved around him.

Umm…no.  Linc is FURIOUS at me.

I. Mean. Furious.

So angry, he’s not speaking to me. At all.

Sigh. It’s a good scene I think–okay maybe things didn’t go well for him, but still…he lived.

Anyway, that’s why we’re not having a cage fight today. If you want a cage fight next week, maybe you all can think up bribes? Ways to coax Linc into a doing a cage fight? Cause he’s not listening to me, maybe he’ll listen to you all!

No real surprise–Hugh Jackman is smokin’ hot!

I just got the page proofs–which is the last pass to find any mistakes before the book is printed–for my novella REDEEMING THE WIZARD in the THE BEAST WITHIN Anthology (Sept 2010 release).  This *should be* pretty easy. Next week I’ll get copy edits on Phoenix’s book NIGHT MAGIC.  I expect those to be harder.  Generally,  a good copy editor will ask questions on anything that is confusing,  doesn’t fit the timeline, etc.  It can take a while to wade through all those and keep the consistency going on the book.  And Key’s book is due June 15th. I’m just about half way through.

But no stress On the upside, Key’s book is going much better now.  (Did you notice the amazing confidence in that sentence? I will believe!!!)
