What’s Your Kryptonite?

The prize for this week is the peace, hope and serenity bracelet. As usual, I’ll randomly draw a name from this week’s comments and announce the winner on the weekend.

First, let’s talk about the grand prize necklace. It’s a custom-made piece and I’m dying to see it! But I checked on the status and they said it should ship in the next week or so. Can’t wait!

Now onto kryptonite. One day my husband and I were talking about how I get sick when I go under anesthesia, or sometimes from pain medication. He was commenting how I don’t generally have a weak stomach, so it’s odd. Then he said, “It’s like your kryptonite.”

LOL! I thought that was pretty funny.

In most paranormal worlds, there’s a form of kryptonite. For instance, vampires usually can’t go in the sun. In the world of my witches, their kryptonite is witch karma—any intended harm done with their powers will come back on them three times. So if they use their powers to cut someone, they will be cut three times worse.

This makes it pretty darn hard to defend themselves. And that’s why they need the hot and hunky Wing Slayers Hunters! But it also forces the witches to be smarter than their enemies. They can do magic, they just can’t inflict intentional harm.

So, my kryptonite is anesthesia.

The witch’s kryptonite is witch karma.

What’s yours? And hey, if you can’t think of one, make it up!

My kryptonite is bugs. I especially can’t stand roaches, spiders, and camelback crickets. If you’ve never seen the latter, please look it up and get back to me. I want to share the love. Hee.

Stupid people. They make me stumble into wall to bang my head and can bring me to my knees in a heartbeat. And their stupidity is viral. *nods* Yup. Stupid people. And tomatoes.

Silver, if the number of stupid people I see on the freeways is any indication–you’re going to have a lifetime of headaches (from banging your head into a wall)! LOL on their stupidity being viral! I never thought of it like that!

    But tomatoes?

Tomatoes are evil and are plotting to take over the world. They sneak insidiously into every facet of life. And they’re red. And ushy. And slimy. *nodnods* Insidious, I tell you!

    Oh…Did I mention that I’m allergic? *gigglesnort*

I feel like I am forever repeating myself and the world is tired of hearing it, but my kryptonite is definately snakes. I am fearless until a tiny little five inch baby snake wiggles within a mile of me and then I am a frozen banshee…they should lease me out as a tsunami siren. The get one screech per snake.

Snakes. Definitely. Gives me the willies just thinking about it… ugh.

Silver, now I understand! Being allergic would make you a little suspicious of poor innocent tomatoes!

Cele, I never tire of hearing about your snake phobia! It’s totally understandable, I mean, Snakes Slither! Ewww!

My kryptonite is heights, too. My knees get weak when I look down from above a balcony or ladder.

*hides Jen’s crystal ball* Snakes are more afraid of humans than humans are afraid of snakes. Unless they happen to be copperheads. Just sayin’.

My kryptonite is people who say Oh instead of zero in phone numbers and other sentences. They mix up a LETTER with a NUMBER ugh! And have you noticed how many people mis-use an and a in sentences? (The English teacher coming out in me)
    My karma is anything chocolate

Silver…I have a whole closet full of crystal balls! A smart witch is always prepared.

I don’t even want to think about copperhead snakes!

Joye, I say zero! These days, with the language of texting, I’m surprised when someone speaks in a complete sentence at all!

I am utterly invincible — until I see a spider. Even eensy weensy teensy ones. I shudder and moan and squeal and call my DH and behave like a complete blithering idiot until he gets rid of it.

    It’s just pathetic, really. :-)

My kryptonite would have to be heights and snakes. I really don’t understand this because I was raised in the country and was around snakes then. Heights also didn’t bother me when I was young, I used to walk across High Bridge but these fears came later in life.

LOL! Aren’t they pretty? They’re huge!!
Last night I saw two roof rats out back so I called Terminix today and they’re coming tomorrow to re-bait the rat trap in the alley. Look up roof rats. They’re cute. LOL! I had rats as pets years ago but these kritters must go! Besides, Axel’s tired of me getting up every few minutes to see why my cat’s going crazy at the back door. *snicker*
