Had a great weekend!
We went to see HANGOVER. The movie was what I expected–Dumb Guy Humor. ( I really want to see Transformers!) but Bradley Cooper was all the visual entertainment I needed!
We also had a great time swimming at the pool and hanging out in the Jacuzzi. You’d have to see my hair after a day at the pool. It does this wave-kink-hard-to-explain-thing. Fortunately, my husband actually LIKES my hair like that. He uses the word sexy. Every freaking morning I try to tame that insanity out of my hair so that I can look, oh I don’t know, normal. And he finds it sexy. Just proves I married the right man!
And we went to dinner and I had lobster to match my sunburn. I like to coordinate whenever possible.
Lastly, I’m reading a funny as hell book, CHARMED AND DANGEROUS by Toni McGee Causey. Toni is on the same Murder She Writes blog that I am, and I’ve been meaning to read this ever since it came out under the original title BOBBY FAYE’S VERY, VERY ,VERY BAD DAY, but I just hadn’t gotten to it. Boy was I missing out! Seriously, Toni’s writing is like funny-on-crack. I’m just a bit more than half way through, and totally captivated.

My weeekend was good. Saw The Proposal. Went to the Nathan’s Hot Dog Contest and had a good view.
I love Toni’s book. I’m waiting for the third book in the series.

The actual weekend kinda stunk – rain, rain and more rain, even the fireworks were cancelled. But … at least my vacation isn’t over and the internet seems to be working

Dru, did you like The Proposal? I really enjoyed it! My husband loves those hot dog eating contests.
Toni’s great, isn’t she? I never intended to wait this long to read her book, but I just can’t keep up!

Hey Jen. Had a great weekend. DD’s birthday was Thursday and I had the day off work. We went to see the Proposal and on Sunday saw Ice Age 3-D. I liked the Proposal better. We did have fireworks, but we also had 100+ degree weather so the fireworks were sweaty.
I have also read Bobbie Faye’s very (very, very, very) bad day. LOVED IT! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Stephanie Plum look out, Bobbie Faye is on the loose!

Bobbie Faye is a Natural Disaster! I love the chapter headings too…very funny. Wish I had more time to read. Now…can you imagine Stephanie Plum trying to bring in Bobbie Faye?

Dru, I liked The Proposal better than The Hangover. But Hangover was entertaining. I liked the way they structured it. It’s a bit like a mystery…kind of, sort of.
