Fresh Pick!

jpeg-blood-magic

BLOOD MAGIC is Fresh Pick at Fresh Fiction.  It’s so cool when this stuff happens. I got the email just out of the blue, letting me know.

So I was wondering, what’s the “freshest” book you’ve read this year? For me, off the top of my head, I’d say ANGEL’S BLOOD by Nalini Singh.

Angels’ Blood was a good read. Another fresh read was Street Magic by Caitlin Kittredge.

Gotta go with Percy Jackson and the Olympians book #1, The Lightening Thief.
I love how middle grade books are standing out.
    Mega congrats on the honor!

Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Very good!! I read it in one day. And the Twilight series, I know I’m late on this one, but it is very good. I have to buy book 4 today. I bought book 3 yesterday and I HAVE to know what happens now. Can we say addict??? lol

I loved Bad Moon Rising as well. I saw Sherri in Ann Arbor for the launch of the book. She had evryone there laughing their a@#es off talking about her kids and her brother. Then she made me cry when I read the book. D$@# her. I also loved Blood Magic and Diedre Knight’s Red Fire. The heros in both of those are just too hot :) Oh, and Kelly McCullough’s Mythos. I love the combination of mythology, magic and tech in that series.

De-lurking to say Blood Magic my favorite book for 2009, followed by Pitch Black ~ Leslie Parrish, Sky Keepers ~ Jessica Andersen, Hot Pursuit ~ Suzanne Brockmann, Bengal’s Heart ~ Lora Leigh.

Looking forward to Soul Magic! Best of Luck and warm witchy wishes.

My favorite book for 2009 has got to be Girls Just Wanna Have Guns by Toni McGee Causey, or maybe it’s . . . nope, that’s it.

Congrats on the pick, we all know you’re awesome!

WOOHOO! *Snoopy dances and pours appletinis* Major congrats, lady!

I have to agree that BLOOD MAGIC was right up there at #1 in my fresh picks! The three Black CATs books from Leslie Parrish were the most surprising (from sexy Blaze Leslie Kelly to dark romantic suspense Leslie Parrish was…whoah!) And Toni McGee Causey’s Bobby Fate just cracks me up.

There were so many good books this year that I could wax eloquent for days. But there are appletinis and Witch Hunters to celebrate with! CHEERS!

Kira, I read all the TWILIGHT books. One bored me to tears, the rest I enjoyed. I stopped reading Kenyon for a while, mailing because I am easily distracted by other books :-) I should pick that one up.

Erika, I haven’t read it yet, but loved the first one so I know I’ll love this one too. This month, I have very little time to read. It’s making me very cranky.

Silver, thanks on Blood MAgic. I know how much you love Leslie P, but I’d forgotten she wrote for Blaze too.

Appletinis? Where???? (I know where the witch hunters are, they are PISSED right now and ready to ride or fly to the rescue of a witch)

Hmmmm … gonna say the vampire academy series by Richelle Mead because I wasn’t expecting to like it and ended up buying all three books – now I’m waiting to get #4 ! Also liked Libba Bray’s A Great and Terrible Beauty & Rebel Angels need to get the last one in that series too.
Love a ton of books – including Blood Magic and Fade to Black but those were surprises so I give them my ‘Fresh’ award.

Silver, I didn’t miss the appletinis did I? I actually had to, you know, work. Sigh!

I’ll see if there are any witch hunters available to rescue you :-)
