Monday Roundup!

It was a good weekend! Well except for the part where I was cleaning the outside of the dishwasher, hit my thumb and split the nail WAY back onto the nail bed. It hurt too much to even swear.  Which led me to the obvious conclusion:  Cleaning is dangerous and should be avoided. You all with me????

I started reading Nalini Singh’s BRANDED BY FIRE and love it so far!

On the Dog Wars, the wizard is still winning. He likes to tease me about it.  All I’m going to say in my defense is that Wizard knew he was teasing a Witch…

wizard-dog

Don’t worry, I’ll turn him back…eventually.

So how was your weekend?

oooouch ! my fridge is in need of a thorough washing but, for safety’s sake I’m gonna put it off a bit longer.

ps: don’t turn the wizard back until you’ve made him eat kibble once ;)

    Owie! Been there.
Great weekend. Lovely weather to haul a ton of dirt around the yard and lay sod.
Thank God for inventing the hot tub, Aleve and a bottle of bubbly.

My weekend consisted of finishing up school shopping, haircuts plus all the last minute things my daughter decided she needed. The boys are so much easier they were done in half the time! Oh, my aching feet.

Needless to say no cleaning got done so now my house would qualify as a disaster site. Oh well, the kids have two days till school starts, I’ll put the three of them to work. Ah the benefits of parenthood. Lol.

Had a good weekend. I got to meet three fantastic funny authors at a book signing here, so much fun. It was also the weekend before school started so lots of back to school planning. A girlfriend and I saw The Time Traveler’s Wife, such a sad sad movie. It was her pick and I told her she’s no longer allowed to pick.
Did a bit of cleaning too, blah! I agree it should be avoided at all costs.

OUCH! Been there. Done that. Considered amputation. ;) Cleaning is a four-letter word around here. *blink* Uhm….eight-letter word, I mean. (Except for cleaning up after puppy. I’ll be a very happy witch when Cooper is housetrained!)

Houseguests are still here, but I’m slowly getting caught up on paperwork/internets/etc. Am I a bad witch for wanting to return to my solitary ways?

Yeah, ouch! Also been there, done that, hope to never do it again! I’m with ya on the cleaning.

Had a pretty good weekend. Friday I went to dinner with my friend, Mary, and one of her friends. Turns out her friend, Jennifer, went to my high school and graduated with my best friend from high school. Small, small world.

Saturday, Mary and I drove to Cincinnati for Karen Marie Moning’s book signing. We got to meet lots of fellow fans and discuss our theories on the latest book. Always fun. After that, we went to Graeter’s for ice cream. They make their own and it’s really, really good.

Silver, nah, that doesn’t make you a bad witch. Now if you turned them into toads to get your alone time, that would make you a bad witch :)

    Silver, absolutely not.

My weekend was good. I got my 500 words done for BB and interviewed for a job for Tues/Thurs. I start Tues. very excited. Only downside is less time for procrastinating the writing process.

Hmm, my fridge needs cleaning too. We must resist!

Margaret, oh yeah, been there and done that! Is the sod all finished? That kind of work is a real back breaker.

Val, I only have boys, but I agree they must be easier than girls for stuff like back to school shopping. And there’s a reason parents end up with gray hair :-)

Pretty soon, you’ll have some quiet days to get all caught up!

Amanda, you had a very busy weekend! So TTW is too sad? I never read the book either (just didn’t get around to buying it).

I’m telling you, cleaning is dangerous :-)

Silver, no you’re not bad! You’ve been a very gracious witch, not it’s time to go back in your lair and write!

Have to go look at your blog and see if there are more pics of Cooper. The housetraining is tough, but he’s sooo adorable!

I love Karen Marie Moning’s highland books! You had a fun weekend!

Erika, congratulations on the job! And getting your 500 words done! But yeah, this will cut down on your procrastinating time. On the other hand, maybe you’ll be able to write faster?

Such a sad sad movie yes. My friend and I have been looking at the book and pick it up and put it down. I’m sure the book will make you cry more than the movie.

Man, I was going to see that movie this week. But I don’t know if I want to see a sad one.

Ouch on the finger, Jen. That is never fun. And I think cleaning ranks right up there with cooking. Neither can be a good thing. *bleh*

Erika, congrats on your word count and your job!
Ban, congrats on your word count!
    Woo-Hoo! Appletinis for everyone!!

Need to post my weekend update on my blog, too. I am running SOO behind today!

Kira, have to disagree with you. Cooking can be fun. I like cooking and love baking. The cleaning up after? Not so much :(

Count me in on the appletinis!

Oh…ouch on the thumb! Yea, I am with you on avoiding housework. I tell my family… Do not mess with the dust and the dust does not mess with you! If you can not see it, then it is not there!!! And as far as cleaning… well, I clean ~ eventually…

Oh, I love the look of wizard! Maybe he will think twice about messing with the head witch! =)

The weekend was actually nice. Friday, I worked a wine tasting/dinner at a plantation by my house (after my regular job). Then Saturday ~ was all about me!!! Hubby slept really late, daugther stayed in her room (after pouting that the MEAN MOM WITCH did not want to take her & her friends to the movies – which fyi, they did something Friday night together) and the dogs stayed laying around too… So, Mom Witch got to pay bills, play on blog and started a book!!!
Then Sunday, took daughter and a friend shopping/grocery shopping with me. So, the Mom Witch was nice after all! And the weather was gorgeous for us down here in Louisiana!!!
So overall, I did not have to mute anyone with my wand this past weekend… Glad to see everyone has an overall great weekend!

Kira, my finger is much better now! Just have to be careful not to snag what’s left of the nail. It’s not pretty, that’s for sure :-)

I haven’t even gotten to many blogs today. I’ll have to hop over to yours to see your weekend.

Dawn, I love baking too! But not the clean up. Back in the day when I did a little cake decorating…that buttercream icing was a nightmare to clean up.

Cecile, ohh wine tasting! Okay, I’m paying attention now. Hope the job went well!

Sounds like a really nice weekend! I love those quiet mornings. LOL on your daughter, I’m glad she was able to see the good witch in your after all :-)

Well Jen, She really had no choice but to see the good Witch in me… she has her permit to drive… and Good Witch held the keys to the car… So, her day brighten up! LOL!! Teenagers!!! I will take one of those apple-tinis you guys are passing around.

The wine tasting thing was really neat. I have never been (or served at) to one before. I was the Absinthe chemist person. I learned a little about it to. So that was neat! I hope to be on the other end one day… To be served the drinks instead of serving… But hey… it’s extra money!
