Mondays Can Be A Witch…

One month until the release of SOUL MAGIC! Okay, look, I did my promo…now for other stuff!

This weekend I finished reading THE BELLY DANCER by DeAnna Cameron. This book is hard to pigeonhole, it’s a historical romance, but very different, maybe more Women’s Fiction.  I enjoyed learning more about belly dancing and Egyptian Theatre.

After much debate, I started reading ACHERON by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Normally I never read reviews on a book I intend to read. For some reason, I read reviews on this one and they sort of put me off (I know better than that!) But so far, I really like this book!

I also hung out with my sister this weekend. She surprised me with a gift! My sister is like that, she just gives gifts for no reason. She said it reminded her of me…

I took a pictures and I’d like YOUR opinion on that. Does this picture…

witch from sis

remind you guys of me? Anyway, I love the little witch and she’s sitting on my bookshelf in my office.

So how was your weekend?

Do you want the witch to remind us of you? (See how I turned it around?)

I had a good weekend. I saw Shakespeare’s The Tempest this weekend. The beauty of it was it was performed on the boardwalk and beach giving it the illusion of being on a stranded beach.

I also continue to work on my quilt project.

Ummm, no, she doesn’t remind me of you, not really. Maybe to some people, all witches look alike, but I think every witch is their own. She is cute though.

You crack me up with the promo thing.

I’ve decided writing is the toughest job I’ll ever love. I hope everyone has a good week!

She is cute thing! That is very nice of your sister to pick up something, especially with you in mind. One of my best friends did that for me this weekend… (She bought me and her a shirt that says “Where’s My Witches At?” I love it!!! Here is the weekend run down… Get Bailey’s for the coffee!

Friday night daughter and bff went to a HS football game (not their school). Hubby went to Caleb’s by himself… I did bills and balanced the checkbook. Yea, that took some major witch power ~ but I did it! Saturday, up early. Daughter had a meeting she was suppose to go to in another town for school. Rise and shine for 7:50 on a Saturday… ugh!! With her off… Made coffee and straighten the house. LSU (my fave college football team) played at 11 that morning. So, one of bff came over and watched it with me and hubby. They won! YAYAY!! Daughter came back from meeting and her and her bff started to get ready for homecoming. They were beautiful. I will hopefully have a pic or two up at my place this week! Went get them at 2 in the morning! Sunday had to do the normal grocery shopping… Yea… rough weekend! And no rest for the wicked witch! This weekend is her school’s homecoming… So we shall be doing this all over again.. With the exception of me going get them… Their date is bringing them home! Whew… I am tired!
But it was worth it to see her smile and have the time of her life! Isn’t that what it is all about!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and has an awesome Monday! Yea, I know there is no such thing as an awesome Monday… but I am sprinkling some Witch Dust on the spell!
    And Jen, love the promo!!

Wonderful gift but NO – it does not remind me of you. Now if she were dressed more like Elvira … :D
Can’t wait to get my hands on Soul Magic !

I should take a picture of my kitchen witch. I feel old and haggard like her most days, but I haven’t set the kitchen on fire since she arrived so she’s doing her job. I suppose I should go dust her, huh?

No, you are much too cute and sexy to be that witch. You might wear her as a disguise but…nope…not you!

Weekend? There was a weekend? I did a lot of household things and hopefully sold a piece of rental property in my old home town so I can dust my hands of the place and walk away.

Today is work day. I MUST get this revision done. Period. Going “black” now. Radio silence. Have appletinis ready when I resurface!

Dru, you do the coolest things over the weekend! The play sounds lovely!

No I don’t want to be the ugly witch, but yet, my sister does know me well ;-)

Erika, LOLOL!! All witches look alike–priceless! Thank you, you have no idea how much I needed to laugh today.

I have to do promo, but I don’t have to like it :-)

I agree with you on writing being the toughest job! And yet, can we stop?

Cecile, how do you do it! Picking them up at 2am??? I gave my kids the car :-) But of course, I was awake and waiting for them. Hope your daughter had a wonderful time at Homecoming!

I think you might need to double or triple the witch dust for the spell. What a day…

At least you noticed the promo :-)

Silver, yes! We want to see your kitchen witch! She must have powerful magic to keep your kitchens safe from fires…wait! Your kitchen has caught fire?

Great news on your rental property! One less burden for you!

Hope you’re working, appletinis will be here later!

Yea!!!! Only 4 more weeks until Soul Magic.

Jen, she’s much too old to be you :D Glad you’re enjoying Acheron. I finished it in 2 days when I read it. Hmmm, maybe I’ll have to go reread it.

My weekend consisted of work on Friday, sleep on Saturday and the Race for the Cure on Sunday. Friday we had an extra inbound flight, which of course came in late. Fun, fun. Sunday I had to get up waaayyy too early, 6AM, ewwww. I walked with my mom and some cousins. Then we all went out to lunch after the walk.

Cecile, I’m so glad my weekends aren’t usually as busy as yours!

Silver, sorry you didn’t notice the weekend was here. Hope next weekend is better for you :)

Dawn, glad you’re excited about the release!

I’m about half way through Acheron. You read it in two days? Amazing!

Awesome on Race for the Cure on Sunday!

Okay, so the late inbound flight–is that related to work? I’m so confused today!

Yeah, the flight was at work. Normally on Friday’s we only have one inbound flt. This past Friday, we had two, one of which didn’t come in until 6. We got out of work around 8. My paychecks like the hours though.

LOVED Acheron! Sherrilyn is a great author, I think you would love her Dark Hunter series! They are almost as hot as your Wing Slayers
