Addiction and A Commercial…

So the Wizard and I were watching TV and some character said everyone has an addiction. Wizard turns to me and asks… “What’s your addiction?”

Umm, hello? Coffee!!!

He laughed, because he knew he was just getting me to admit it. Sneaky wizard! Yes I KNOW I’m addicted to coffee, thank you.

Seriously, are all husbands this helpful?

Sigh…

Anyone else want to confess and addiction?

Okay, I confess. I’m addicted to, you guessed it, chocolate. And, of course, books. And music and Dr Pepper. (Don’t talk to me before my daily hit of caffeine.) Oh, and can’t forget, Jen’s blog :)

I can’t think of anything I’m addicted to … seriously. I love caffiene free pepsi but if times are tight, I don’t buy soda. Same with candy, love me sour candy but if I don’t have any in the house … I don’t crave it. Maybe skinny salty pretzels – can’t go without them for a week. buy two bags when I go shopping …
If you’re asking about non-food items I’d have to say my laptop. Unless I’m on vacation, I can’t go a day without it !

My addiction is definitely coffee. And cigarettes. I get very cranky without those two things. Everything else is optional.

I’ll try to remember to stop by your event tomorrow, Jen. It all depends on whether my brain is working. Some days I’d forget my head if it wasn’t bolted to my shoulders.

Definitely books. I have tons on my shelves to be read but I can’t stop buying more books. Now if only I could get addicted to writing the perfect book, I know I have a story in me I just can’t find it yet.

I’m also addicted to Facebook, sad isn’t it but I am.

My camera. I have to have a camera on me at all times (I’m a bit of a photo whore – I hate having my photo taken, but I’ll do anything and everything to get someone else’s!). Books are a major addiction…I can’t go a week without a good read. I’m like a junkie with my books – I get irritable if I don’t read something.

    Also addicted to fishtanks.

I know, I’m weird. I keep on collecting them – at the moment, I have one 29 gallon (that one is all set up and has a multitude of fish in it), a 55 gallon (that one’s not set up – I’m refinishing the stand for it), another 29 gallon that’s just sitting in the garage, two six gallons, a three gallon (that is shaped like R2D2), and a few one gallons. I think about on a daily basis what I’m going to put in them, how I’m going to set them up, etc.

    I have a problem….

Coffee, cigarettes and books are my three addictions. Hubby and I have been trying to quit smoking for years now but can’t figure out how to do it without killing someone :( . I read almost everyday, sometimes when I should really be doing something else.

I will join your event tomorrow, just please don’t give out to many details about Soul Magic :) with moving I still have not had a chance to pick up my copy, maybe this weekend I can make it to the store.

On another note, you were right, Fridays cable guy so not hunky. However, the fridge delivery guy yesterday was. I took that as my reward for all the hardwork moving. I am really getting to old for this stuff.

I went to bitten by books to RSVP, and I think I am not seeing the whole page cuz I am getting a lot of white space. My work computer is pretty picky about what it allows, but thought I would check to see if maybe I was missing something. Any pointers?

On a different note… I am reading Sutton’s story… and OMFG!!!!!!!!!! HAWT!!!!! AWESOME!!!!! Loving it up!!!! Okay, got that out my system till I get home and get to read some more.. Why does work have to get in the way of reading!!!

Dawn, awww, you so made my morning! Addicted to my blog!

Chocolate is a staple of life not an addiction :-)

I like Dr. Pepper and I love Diet Coke, but my stomach does not. Stupid stomach.

Ban, love your discipline! I would find a way to get coffee if it wasn’t in the house, and there’s a very good chance someone would get hurt!

Oh yeah…I’m addicted to my computer and the Internet! I am trying so hard to stay off and work!

Amanda, books rock and they rule! I’d be torn on spending my last dollar on coffee or books!

Writing is tougher. I love it, but so many times I just want to go read someone else’s work! But I know you have great stories in you so keep trying!

I understand the FB addiction, I’m just too overwhelmed to do it much.

Nyx, I’d love to be a photo whore :-) I don’t take good pics, but I wish I did. I love that addiction!

The fish tank one caught my interest–seriously–I could really see a character loving fish tanks. It’s a great addiction! Makes you stand out!

Val, I hear the quitting smoking is the hardest thing to do. At least books are a healthier addiction!

I don’t think I gave out too many details on Soul Magic, I try not to but I’ve written so many blogs lately they are a blur.

I checked the link to Bitten By Books and it worked fine for me. I wish I could help more! I’m sorry! I’m guessing it’s your work browser.

Let’s see…I’m addicted to pepsi, books and the internet. Yeah, boring really, but there it is.

I’ll try and stop by RSVP tomorrow, I swear my schedule has been hell. Grr. But hubby did promise me a netbook for christmas so I can write at work. I really love him sometimes!

Kira, any ideas on how to break the Internet addiction? Just asking!

Sorry your schedule’s been so frantic! I was just letting you guys know about the event, it’s up to you if you’re interested! No pressure, okay?

    A netbook? AWESOME!

Well…you can look at my bio pic. No changes. :( My hairdresser opted to go with the same ol’ same ol’. I’m going to twist her arm next time. I walked off without my phone and didn’t have the cute pics I’d uploaded to show her. As she says, this sytle is…timeless. I think that’s her way of saying it works well for an old witch like me! LOL

Is it time for appletinis yet?

Silver, I like your bio pic! Always have! But if you’re looking for a change, twist her arm!

You are NOT old! Stop that.

Heck yes on appletinis. It is a hundred-freaking-degrees here. Who the heck do I yell at for that?

    Appletinis for sure!

Is there a thing for net addiction?? Because if there is, I don’t think I want to know about it! HA! I have way to much fun with you girls to get rid of this.

And I’ve talked him into thinking that I NEED a netbook. That way I can write a bit more privately than the office PC that faces the front door. Because really…you know how hot I write. What would customers think?? LOL

I’m not addicted to anything but it’s close for Pepsi, chocolate, books, and movies (dvd’s). I can survive without any of these for short periods of time. I use to be a pepsi and chocoholic but was able to break the habit, now I just want it every now and then, usually when I don’t have any. I can buy it and it may set around for months but let me run out and wham I want it.
