Late!!!

I can’t find my original post, it’s not in my draft or anywhere else I looked.  So weird! It just vanished.

For any of you that heard about the earthquake, we’re all fine. It was big enough to slosh water out of the pool, but it was a rolling quake that didn’t seem to cause any real damage.  It sure was a ride though!

I have a chocolate hangover! We had a double celebration of Easter and Wizard’s birthday. We had ribs and chicken, chocolate cake and Easter candy.   Bailey came over with the boys, and here he is in his “point stance.”  Want to know what he’s pointing at?

Wizard! Because Wizard LIKES Bailey! He can’t hide it anymore. Sunday morning, all the boys and Bailey were sleeping in and Wizard went in and woke up Bailey to come play with us. Bailey is on to you Wizard!

Of course, I gave Bailey Easter toys…

Here’s his green fuzzy toy. He’s resting above after playing hard…

So how was your weekend?

Your weekend sounds like mine. My husband’s birthday was Thursday and we had a get together with friends this weekend so we had tons of food and cake and then Easter goodies and eating on Sunday. I don’t feel like eating for a week. Of course Wednesday is my youngests birthday and his party is Saturday, more cake! AHHH!!

Awwww! Bailey is so cute and smart and clever! Bad wizard for not letting the Easter bunny bring you a fuzzypup.

I was good. Mostly. The kids were gone to Baseball Boy’s dad’s. They got in yesterday afternoon and I did a London Broil and a mint chocolate chip ice cream/orea cookie/chocolate fudge sauce dessert/cake/thingy for his birthday. I only licked the spatula and had a small piece after dinner. I still gained three pounds just looking at the darn thing, but…

Hope everyone had a great weekend and that the week to come treats us right!

I got to watch two Red Wings games this weekend. Too bad they lost both of them. *sigh* Only three more regular season games before the playoffs start.

Sunday was Easter at the parents’ house. My aunt and uncle and some cousins and their families came. We had too much food, as always. Mom made homemade ice cream, hot fudge and brownies for dessert. Mmmmmm, hot fudge brownie sundaes, what could be better :) Plus I got to play with the kids. The new baby (6 mths) is almost as big as the three-year-old.

Hope everyone had a great Easter :)

Ack, I hate it when that happens. Glad to hear you’re all okay after the quake. Scary stuff. Happy birthday to Wizard – even if it did contribute to your chocolate hangover.

Heh, Bailey’ll wear him down. Go Bailey. ;o)

This was a good weekend. The ham turned out great – best I ever made. We just had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed food. Too much food, but that’s what the holidays are for.

Amanda, it’s party central at your house! We have a lot of birthdays in April so I can relate.

But what’s this about not feeling like eating? Seems like all I do is eat these days :-)

Dawn, so sorry about your team :-( But how cool that you got to play with the 6 month old baby! And you can never go wrong with brownies, ice cream and hot fudge :-)

B.E. how did you make your ham? I’m not great at ham.

Bailey’s working on Wizard, but he’s stubborn. I found this perfect little lab mix puppy at the shelter, but so far, Wizard’s holding firm. But he does like Bailey so there’s hope!

I just wanted to come see if you found the post…
Ahhhhhaaaaaa Wizard is falling for puppy power!! hahahaha!!! I knew our spells were getting stronger!! Come on girls… lets rally our spells together!!!

My weekend was a mixture of a whole lotta feelings. I had to work.. Friday and Saturday.. and Friday I pulled a double (working for regular job… then working for part time work)… So Yuck to work and 9 more days left… Hubby and I had some good quality time together, that was nice considering he has been working 7 days a week for the past few weeks… then Easter was nice. It was spent with individuals who mattered!!

I do a bone-in ham – 20 minutes per pound at 325 degrees. I don’t do too much to it – just cover it with pineapple slices and baste it with a glaze made of brown sugar and pineapple juice. This time, though, I tried cooking the ham flat side down and it turned out better than ever. =o) If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
