Monday Roundup

Bailey waiting for toyBailey was waiting for me to get to his house yesterday so we could play!

It was another busy weekend.  Wizard and I went  to see THE BACKUP PLAN.  I was bored. I didn’t want to see it but Wizard thought it might be funny.

Silly Wizard, he should listen to his witch :-)

We also had a whole list of chores and errands on Saturday, and I managed to talk Wizard in stopping by a pet store to look at puppies.  On the way home, he said, “You’re wearing me down, witch, you’re wearing me down.”

Realllly? Bwhahahaha!!! Of course two hours later, he’s back to telling me we can’t get a dog. We’ll see, Wizard, we will see!

Sunday I spent all morning cooking and baking, we went to my two sons’ house to celebrate one of their birthdays and my mother in law’s birthday.  We had fun.  Even better, Bailey is helping my quest for a dog by curling up next to Wizard and going to sleep with his head on Wizard’s leg.  I caught Wizard petting him several times.

I didn’t get a lot of writing done, but this week will be all work and no play.

How was your weekend?

I had a good weekend. I was running around taking care of errands and then relaxed the rest.

    Good luck with your writing.

    Have a good Monday.

I have found that with determination and perseverance us witches can usually get what we want. Keep at it Jen and you will have that dog soon. :)

I had to work on Saturday, but after I got home kids and I went summer clothes shopping. I needed some shorts since I lost weight and most of the ones I have won’t stay on anymore. Don’t think anyone wants to see me in my undies, lol. Feels nice to be slimmer, but I really liked some of those clothes.

Sunday we went to a benefit concert which should have been fun, but I just wasn’t in the mood to be social, and after the first band I had a splitting headache. They are just soooooo loud. Got home around 2:30 am and got up at 6:30 this morning to go to work. Lucky hubby has off today so he could sleep in. Thinking I might sneak into the lair and cuddle up with the slayers for a nap before the other witches show up and start making a rucus. ;)

Yay for wearing the Wizard down. =o)

Not much on tap for this past weekend. Watched a lot of TV, worked on re-re-re-polishing a manuscript from ’08, read a debut paranormal – Embers by Laura Bickle (very good, btw)- and the last book in a MG series (Fablehaven) I’ve been following. All in all, a good weekend.

Good luck on your ‘all work’ week.

My weekend was good. I’m working on getting my “spare time schedule” figured out, which is harder than it should be. Go figure, but I’m making baby steps progress.

Glad to hear you’re wearing the Wizard down. Keep up the good work!

I’m getting closer and closer to my 100+ books in 2010. Having a data entry job where I can listen to books all day is really helping! ;)

Off to the lair to create a ruckus with the Slayers!

I had a busy weekend. Saturday Chelsea Handler was in town and signing her newest book at my favorite book store. I went and stood in line with some friends for that. It was an experience but I’m interested in the book.
Saturday night the boys had a birthday party for a friends daughter, that was an adventure. ;)

Sunday I had another author signing but this was much smaller. Addison Fox author of Warrior Ascended. She was a member of our book club until her recent move back to NY. If you are a lover of JR Ward you NEED to pick up her book. I thought her writing style was very similar to Ward’s and then I had 2 friends that I recommended the book to tell me the same thing. And she is a sweetheart. :)

Val, we witches must never give up the fight to get what we want :-)

Congrats on losing enough weight to need new clothes! I’m so jealous, but proud of you for doing it!

Sorry the benefit didn’t turn out to be fun. It’s even worse to be so tired when you didn’t have fun.

B.E., Is it wrong to enjoy tormenting Wizard with my dog quest?

This is a different manuscript the one you recently finished?

Erika, are you going to work writing into your spare time schedule? It’s really hard when you have kids and your working!

I’m trying to ignore the ruckus in the lair!

Amanda, we watch Chelsea–how was she? What did you think of her? Her book (as you know) is a bestseller, I’d love to know what you think of it when you’re finished.

I’ll look for Addison Fox’s book!

I’m finally here! I met my CP for coffee this morning. She’s getting her entry for the TARA ready to go and I did a *really* hard edit and critque on it. Luckily, she’s still speaking to me. :D

Weekend…I forged ahead with my contemporary short story. Up over 15K words now, with a good handle on the story ARC and the GMC. Have the ending in mind. Now it’s just a matter of getting the last bit written…well…lot, since I’m headed to the black moment, redemption, and HEA. ;)

Bailey is the best “spell” there is for wearing down the Wiz. Hang in there. You’ll get your wish sooner or later. Happy Monday, witches!

Definitely not wrong. The torment is good for him. LOL As for the manuscript, I haven’t touched this one in a while. I’m just going back and seeing if anything I wrote before can be resurrected. Time will tell.

You will eventually get that puppy you always wanted!

My weekend… was spent working all day Friday at my regular job, then bartending at my other job till 2 in the morning ~ frat party. Then Saturday was Halfing Witch’s Prom (she is a sophomore, a junior friend asked her to go). So we spent the day prepping for her day! Then Sunday, I spent shopping by myself… Grocery shopping.
