My weekend was pretty quiet. I did finally read THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins. I liked it and see why the series is so popular! How was your weekend?

    Congrats to the winners. =oD

The weekend was quiet here, too. I think. It’s sort of a blur. After a couple of super-quick rejections, I rewrote the query letter for the bazillionth time. I think I hit it this time. Wish me luck. Oh, now I remember why the weekend zipped by. I built an agent database, too. No wonder my brain is mush.

B.E. sorry about the rejections :-( But man, you are FAST and so productive! Rewriting the query and building a database over the weekend? I feel like such a slacker!

Holy moley! Yay! I can’t wait to read this book!!!! I owe you an email anyway. :D

Weekend? There was a weekend? I had RWA chapter meeting Saturday. One of our members is a professor of dance at a local university and she belly dances for fun. It was a great presentation! I also wrote SIX synopses! Two were full-fledged, the other four were short blurbs. But the submission went out in the mail this morning so I met my self-imposed deadline! Now to sit and wait. I have five more submissions but they’re by email so I’m going to space them out this week around cleaning my office and catching up on other domestic duties I let slide. I need a house witch to come clean for me!

It’s either work or lay on the couch watching reruns while I crochet and feeling guilty the whole time. Guilt is a horrible motivator. Funny thing is, I don’t feel like I accomplished anything because I’m still not writing new words. Bleh.

Way to go, Silver. Six synopses? You go girl.

B.E., SIX! For books that haven’t even been written and just barely been plotted. This is absolute torture for a pantser! *whimper* But it’s done. Hopefully, the agent will like and I’ll have good news at some point in the future.

Silver, is that humanly possible? Man you are all making me look like a slacker! 6 synopsis in a weekend is an amazing accomplishment!

Congrats on getting the submission out! I’m hear you on the waiting, I’m in the same boat with you on that :-) But you really did an incredible amount of work on this submission. I’m proud of you!

B.E., I recognize that guilt motivator very well! LOL! But you should feel like you accomplished a lot! Rewriting the query and building a data base is WORK!

Jen, I spent about a month coming up with some plot ideas and then worked on characters and such. But, dang! Trying to fill up 5 pages when the gist is: This werewolf goes after a drug dealer and he ends up stranded in the desert with a girl CSI and they’re chased by a bad-nasty thing. We’ll see how well I actually did. LOL

B.E., Jen’s right. Tell guilt to take a hike. We have to remember to let our brains (and imaginations!) relax so new thoughts will form. At least that’s what Iffy tells me. That and chocolate. ;)

Thanks you gals are awesome. I did the chocolate – whipped frosting, mmmm – but the guilt will take time. Maybe more frosting will help. ;o)
