Reading
I’m finally getting to read Kate Carlisle’s book THE LIES THAT BIND. I’m half way through it and really enjoying it! its the third book in the Bibliophile Mystery Series starring Brooklyn Wainwright. Brooklyn is funny and charming, and I just love this series.
And Huge Congratulations to Kate for hitting the New York Times Extended list with THE LIES THAT BIND and the first two books in the series!

Once again, you caught me between books. I’m not sure how you’re doing it. I’m rarely NOT reading. I did just finish Kalayna Price’s GRAVE WITCH. It’s the first in a new series. I loved it! Now I can’t wait for the next one. And it doesn’t come out until July
Before that I read Shelly Laurenston’s THE MANE EVENT. I’ll be downloading the rest of that series eventually. I haven’t decided what to read next. I found a few on my NOOK that I haven’t read yet. Decisions, decisions.

I haven’t been reading much this month. Too busy with NaNo and I’m in a place with my own writing where reading interferes. I did start Alive! by Piers Paul Read last week. It’s a book about the Andes plane crash in 1973, with the Uruguayan rugby players. :shudder:
I’ll probably get back to reading soon and I’m going to need lots of material to make up for the slump. The Lies That Bind sounds interesting. I’ll have to add it and the others to my To-buy list. =o)

On Thursday I will start Marjorie Lui’s Blood series. One of her Dirk and Steele novels is what brought me to the Paranormal Romance reading from historical romances that I still love. Also I discovered the wing slayer series because Lyon was near Lui at the book store. So until March I am enjoying some of her writings.

I just finished Kate’s book. I love Brooklyn! I’m now about 1/4 of the way into INDULGENCE IN DEATH, the latest Eve Dallas book. I’ve got some polishing to do on a manuscript and printing it to send off and then I’m taking the rest of the day to celebrate.

Dawn, I plan this–I have spies who tell me when you’re not reading. That’s how evil I am, LOL!!!
I love Shelly! I haven’t all her books, but I really do enjoy her writing. The new series sounds great too.

B.E., a lot of writers aren’t reading as much during NaNo. But that book about the rugby soccer players sounds depressing. I have to be in the mood for something like that. I hope you got a lot done this month!

Kat, your comment about Lyon being near Lui made me laugh! Wizard was just telling me that I should have a last name with an “A” to be at the top of hte alphabet. Yet you found me because I was shelved near your favorite “L” author. There is no predicting this stuff!

Brooklyn is a great character! I know Kate’s a friend of mine (well, ours–we can’t forget Orlando!) but I’m still amazed at her writing!
