It’s one of those Random Days where logic has no say…
For years we had a bunny named Willy who looked like this:
Willy was a great pet! When we got him, he’d never been out of his cage. The first day we let him out, he ran about 10 feet and then flopped over on his side, exhausted. But he got used to it, and loved the freedom. He had the run of the back yard, and the hill where he dug holes. He came in his cage every night (we locked him in for safety).
Willy had many adventures…like the time he got out of the yard but I didn’t know it. I was taking out trashcans one day, when I heard this noise. Imagine my surprise when it was Willy hauling ass around the street corner WITH A DOG CHASING HIM! I thought Willy was in the backyard! I was completely stunned. The rabbit saw me, ran right for me and leaped into my arms. Then he played dead (it’s a rabbit thing).
The dog skidded to a stop on my drive way and started at me. I said, “No!” The dog dropped his head, totally bummed that his fun was over, then turned and trotted off.
Anyway, I’ll stop boring you with Willy stories. But what made me think of Willy? This dog picture on a shelter website:
Doesn’t he have a bunny face? What do you think?

Aw he is a cutie. They know how to sucker you in with photos on those sites. When we were looking there were so many that made me just want to go and adopt them all.

Awww, poor puppy. He looks sad. I know they want to pull at your heartstrings so you’ll adopt all the sad little doggies, but I could never adopt a sad dog. I’d rather have a pet with a little ‘tude. In fact, that’s how I picked my cat. Her pic was all about attitude. LOL
OMG, Willy looks like an awesome pet. I’d love a bunny. My poor husband is going to be overrun with animals when we eventually get our own home. ;o)

Amanda, isn’t that the truth! It’s easy to fall in love with a picture.

B.E., he’s a hound dog, they just have that sad face. His personality could be really interesting.
Don’t all cats have attitude? I haven’t had a cat in decades, but every cat I know has amusing quirks and attitude.
Willy was awesome! We still miss him. He played with the kids, and was the easier pet to take care of.

Awwww. Rabbits are smarter than people think! And that poor puppy. Cooper has developed the classic Newf Emmett Kelly face and tries to use it when he wants more treats. We are immune, but he’s sooooo funny! I need to just carry a camera around with him in hopes of capturing his sad face. LOL

Silver, you must get a picture of that! I want to see Cooper’s sad, please give me a treat, face!
And just FYI, I’m WAY behind on reading, and I just got typeset pages for SINFUL.
