Question of the Day

I love the book I’m reading, but I’m finding too many point of view shifts AWAY from the hero and heroine, and it’s annoying me. I’m wondering what you all think about that? How much do you want to know about secondary characters who might have been heroes and heroines in previous books, or the bad guys, or other characters that are NOT the hero and heroine?

Whatcha Reading?

If I get a chance to read (and my stupid sinus headache lets me), I’m going to start Nalini Singh’s KISS OF SNOW.

What about you?

Weekend Roundup!

I had a great weekend! Saturday was a high school graduation party for our niece. Always fun to hang our with family. I think I stayed pretty close within my Weight Watcher points. There were cupcakes and cookies. I ate ONE chocolate chip cook and walked away. I surprised myself :-)

Sunday, I feel like I made real progress on the new project–it’s such an exciting moment when I start writing actual pages!

In the afternoon, Wizard and I hung out in the pool. This is the first week the pool was warmed enough to use. We are fighting over the good raft though. Wizard claims it because one of the boys got it for Father’s Day.  He’s such a cheater! And if he accidentally fell off the raft while I was swimming under it…

All I can say is: Don’t taunt a witch!  Bwahahaha!!!!

Why, yes, we do act like children…and laugh ourselves sick doing it.

How was your weekend?

I imagine it’ll be quiet around here this weekend since a lot of our blog-friends are off to the Romance Writers of America conference in New York.  Hope those of you who go have a great time! And tell us all about it when you get back!

Update on Wing Slayer Hunter Series

I wanted to share with you all the status on the Wing Slayer Hunter Series.  First, I need to tell you all that I love, love, LOVE writing this series.  I feel deeply connected to all the characters and I really care about them.  They are a part of me.

That said, right now, the series is on hold.  I hate it, but it’s a cold reality of the business.  However…I have no intention of abandoning the characters and am looking for a viable way to give them all the stories they deserve.  I already have Linc, Eli and Ram’s stories planned. It is just a matter of getting all the logistics worked out–and then writing the stories.

If anything changes dramatically, I’ll let you all know.

In the meantime, I am working on a new project that I’m getting super excited about.  Each day, I’m falling more in love with it.

And then at night…I hear the whispers of the Wing Slayer Hunters reminding me I made them a promise that I will find a way to keep.

Thank you all for sharing this journey with me–and know that I value each of you.

Weekend Roundup!

We had a great weekend, and Wizard had a really nice Father’s Day.  Our oldest son took us out to dinner on Saturday night, middle son came out and we BBQed on Sunday and poor youngest son had to work, but he called Wizard and they chatted about boring guy stuff so everyone was happy. But the most important thing, of course, is what did I decide on for dessert? I won’t keep you in suspense:

I made chocolate dipped strawberries, and they were delicious! Let’s just say that Sunday was a day off from Weight Watchers :-)  And the strawberries were a hit! Evil Wizard took a pic and sent it to youngest son just to torment him. I laughed because…well…I’m evil too.

How about you all? How was your weekend?

Let’s Talk Desserts!

I’ll find out today how good or bad I’m doing on Weight Watchers.  I’ve been following the program pretty well. I’ve always gone to the gym when my RA isn’t flaring, and I’ve been working out even harder since I’m not living in deadline hell at the moment.

But I believe I’m going to declare Sunday (Father’s Day) an All The Points I Can Eat Day.  And I’ve been PLANNING.

Breakfast at a restaurant: Belgium waffles with blueberry compote topping. Wizard can order whatever he wants (it’ll involve his favorite hash browns)

Lunch and Dinner–whatever the rest of the family wants.  But my real focus is on DESSERT! The trouble is, I can’t decide what dessert to buy or make.  I’m leaning against chocolate cake since I’ll have that on my birthday later in the summer.  So what should I make?

Suggestions?

Bookscan and Bailey Time!

First,  a huge THANK YOU to everyone who bought Sinful Magic! The book hit the Bookscan Bestseller List (in the top 100) and I’m thrilled!

Yesterday, my youngest son and Bailey came over,  completely surprising me.  Naturally, I got no work done.  Here’s a pic of Bailey later in the day–he was tired and chewing on his stick while Mini B watches:

What did you do yesterday?
