Minor News and Stuff

Okay I still haven’t gotten any more info, so I’ll tell you what I do know.  The Wing Slayer Series has evidently been picked up by a U.K. publisher for digital release. The editor there had read the series and loved it.   I’m really pleased (as in thrilled) that, in spite of the set backs, people are finding the books and really enjoying them.

I’ll find out more, but NY publishing has a tendency to slow to a crawl in the summer months, so this is typical.

In other news,  Wizard and I have plans this weekend, so I won’t blog (or even be online) Friday and maybe Monday. I’ll tell you guys all about once I’m back online.

So share your news! It can be anything!

Gotta love the Brits. Smart people. Enjoy your big plans and see you when you get back. =o)

No big news here. Got a haircut, read Creep by Jennifer Hillier which was awesome, decided to keep writing but stop worrying about getting published. The usual.

Viki, thanks. I am happy more people will have the chance to read the books. I would love to see it in print too, but that’s happening less and less, sadly.

B.E., going to check on that book! But I’m more concerned with your internal struggles on writing. I know I did this in my unpubbed yeas, and two times since then I nearly quit. The problem is that stories bug the shit out of me if I do quit, and I think it’s the same with you. So please, don’t quit!

And you can’t worry about getting published. Trust me, I’m in the same boat as you right now (I’m aware that I have a slight advantage with my pub history, but that is not guarantee!), and we have to just write the best stories we can and THEN worry about getting it published.

Oh see me Snoopy Dancing(tm) for joy! Just so long as the books will be available in Kindle versions! Though, for the Wingslayers, I might even go so far as to buy a different format. What? I would! And now I can go OD on pain meds, repack the gauze in my mouth, and crash for the rest of the day. Tooth extraction a success if a bit…messy. So glad I came home to good news! Can’t wait to hear more. :D

Silver, I really hope you feel better soon! A messy tooth extraction doesn’t sound fun at all! Get some rest.

And you’re NOT buying the UK version, LOL! You already have the books!

I think this is the only way I can keep from quitting, Jenn. I have to stop worrying about being unpublished and just write for myself again. But first I have to get everyone else out of my head so I can write my stories, my way. =o) Don’t worry about me. I’ll get back to writing new words. Right now, I’m cleaning up my 2010 NaNo novel and shaking my brain loose. I’m hoping new words will come once the kid is off to school.
