I’m feeling much better!
Saturday morning I realized that I had to get new jeans. My old ones are just not fitting, but I’ve been afraid to buy new jeans, like I’ll somehow jinx myself and suddenly gain back the weight I’ve lost.
But I decided to be brave. So I went to the store, picked up a few pairs, and went into shock when I found a pair that fit. A full size smaller than I was. In skinny jeans! I was so surprised I tried on more jeans in that size to be sure. I bought two pairs, rushed home and told Wizard.
He grins, and says, “Let’s go out tonight to celebrate! I’ll take you to steak and lobster.”
Um, yeah, I know–eating to celebrating is part of the reason I gained in the first place, LOL!
So later, I put on my jeans and said, “Hey Wizard, take a picture of me in my new jeans in case I can never wear them again. Because I’m STILL not believing it. I want a record. He snaps a few pictures with my camera, and we go off we went to dinner.
That night, I loaded the pics onto my computer and noticed that Wizard entirely missed the point. Do you see my jeans here?
No! Wizard entirely missed the whole point of the picture! I told him that, and he looked surprised. “Oh you wanted a full body shot?”
Sigh…men just don’t understand!

Congratulations! You look fantastic. It is funny how we celebrate weight loss with food. I think we all do it too.
My weekend was pretty good. Went to a niece’s wedding on Saturday. Sunday was just stuff around the house. I did get hubs to grill a turkey breast – YUM! Also, most of the packing fell off in my mouth yesterday. It feels a bit better but looks nasty.

That’s awesome!!! And even though he missed the jeans entirely you still look great! Congratulations! I spent my entire weekend studying….oh the joys of nursing school! *sigh* On a good note my mom kept my kids all weekend so it was uninterrupted studying!

Oh, you still had packing in your mouth? From the first procedure? I don’t know how you’re doing it. I’ve had a lot of painful things, but that just makes me shudder.

you’ve no idea how much i’ve missed you lot, what a crazy 4 weeks its been.
Thats awesome Jen congrats, i wish i had a figure like yours, i just dont have the will power my diet consists of ‘see food and eat it’. Im glade your feeling better as well, an unwell witch is a grumpy one or thats the case with me anyway. lMen can be so clueless sometimes cant they? bless them, its still a great pic though, i like you top aswell its really nice

Silver, thanks. You had to see the whole thing–I could NOT figure out what he was doing. I kept tell him, stop using the zoom, not realizing he was mostly taking head and shoulder shots.

Michigan won. That’s a good weekend for me. Oh, and I’m back to working in full swing now. It feels so good. Other than that, missing the kid like crazy. I don’t have anyone to talk trash with at home, and she’s the one who tells me the names of people when I forget. I think it’s taking longer for me to adjust than for her. LOL
