My Night As A Single Woman

I  was single for a night. Wizard was off on business and I was on my own.

I went to the gym early in the morning, came home and did laundry then spent the rest of the day working. I cooked a quick dinner at five and had a glass of wine. Cooking and wine usually relaxes me but it’s not the same without Wizard there to cause trouble.

Although he did call twice.

Then I went back to work until 8 pm. And the highlight of my night? Watching Dancing With The Stars.

And that was my night as a single woman.  How embarrassing is that? I’m going to blame it on being Monday. It’s hard to be wild and fun and get into much trouble on a Monday.

But I need to plan to spice up my next single night. Any suggestions?

I have single nights all the time. My hubs is out of town quite a bit. Have to say I’m rather boring. Most of the time I just do my normal routine as if he were home. The big difference is not having to cook dinner. Most of the time I eat frozen leftovers. Then I spend the remainder of my night reading. Sorry I don’t have any good ideas for you.

Sounds about like my single nights (or rather my partial single nights, since when the hubs does work late, he’s back by like 9-ish.) Tonight will be one of those. TV dinner, dishes, Biggest Loser – that’s my night ahead.

You could always take a bubble bath. Right now, that sounds about as decadent as it gets. Or if you don’t feel like staying home, grab Biker Witch and head out for margaritas.

Dance Moms? Really? *looks shifty-eyed* I’ve never watched that show…

Single girl’s night? Where the heck where the Wing Slayers? Or those new dragons? I’m old and boring, too. I usually call out for Greek, (love me some Greek salad with gyro meat!), and if nothing good is on the tube, I catch up on what’s been DVR’d I haven’t had time to watch. And I read. Or write. Or fold laundry. I’ve been married so long I don’t know what it feels like to be single. LOLOL.

I do think you and Biker Witch should go get in trouble have fun next time, though. Then you’ll have new tales to regale us with! ;)

Viki, we are creatures of habit and like our routines :-) And I got a lot of work done so that was nice. I do order out sometimes, but yesterday I just happened to have some ingredients on hand for something I felt like cooking.

B.E., a bubble bath sounds nice. But I’d probably hear things in the house…

Biker Witch and I could get go out, but no drinking. Neither of us drives when we drink at all. We’re both lightweights!

People seem to love the Biggest Loser. I’m going to have to try it one day.

Silver, ah, you read the interview. I had to write that pretty fast, and those questions always stump me. What do people NOT know about me? I shield my kids and some of Wizard’s privacy but otherwise, I’m an open book, LOL!

But Dance Moms is really embarrassing!

I’m with you on being married so long–I was barely 20 when I married.

It’s Biker Witch that gets us in trouble. Just saying…I’m innocent.

I’m the wrong person to give suggestions! My last night spent as a single woman was a couple weeks ago when the hubby worked all night and my kids spent the night with my mom. I ended up going to my mother-in-laws to help her hang curtains! We had “snacks” for dinner and then I went home by 9! :-P I’m so exciting!

I am not the one with Dragons, Wingslayers and Wizards and Murderers etc in my house. I am the trouble maker? Ha I am the quiet, demur one!

Shilon, LOL! Okay this is why we read fiction obviously. Our real lives aren’t burning with excitement!

Biker Witch, I’ve seen your books, you have a lot of serial killers in your house :-) Just had to point that out!
