Weekend Roundup

I’ve had an annoying sinus headache weekend so I’m boring and annoyed.  Hopefully the headache is better by the time this blog posts. So let’s not talk about my weekend, instead I’d rather hear about your weekend.

Oh Jen – I hope you’re feeling better. Sinus headaches are awful. I always get them behind my eyes. Can’t even read comfortably then :(.
Hubs and I found a new Thai place for dinner Sat. It is so tiny and all family run. Holds maybe 25 max. The food and wine were excellent on so inexpensive. The girl waiting on us gave me some of their homemade crushed chili powder to take home. They’re Thai chili they grow in the back. Very hot but also very flavorful. Yum!
I hope you have a good week :).

Poor Jen! I hate sinus headaches!!! I hope it goes away for you! My weekend was boring. Oldest had had follow up scans this past Wednesday, they came back clear! Yay!!! Well he started running a fever Wednesday night and perforated his ear drum Friday from a double ear infection. Needless to say we stayed in all weekend! Sunday I met some girls at Panera and we had a study session for our big test Tuesday! Wish me luck   and hopefully I get back on before Friday to see what everyone else is doing on the blog!

Jen, I do hope you are feeling better. Sinus headaches are only slightly better than migraines and don’t respond to anything but complete nuclear annihilation, if that.

My weekend definately makes my top 3 list of worst weekends ever. I had to make the decision to put my beloved Kodiac to sleep yesterday. All pets are well loved treasures, but occasionally, if you are very lucky, you find that special animal who connects in a magical way. That was my Kody.

So, now that I’ve chased the blue bird of happiness away, someone else please call it back.

Aww, I’m sorry your weekend was ruined by a sinus headache. I hate when that happens.

And so sorry to hear about your pet, Julie. That’s always a tough decision to make. :hugs:

I finished up that re-write on chapter one that I was talking about. And now I hate what I wrote. :headdesk: But I chatted with the daughter last night after she read the chapter, and she made some interesting points that should help me fix this. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Jen Get some chilli powder from Viki and it will knock that sinus stuff right out.

Shiloh- Having some one you love with so complex medical needs is an emotional roller coster and doing schooling on top of it. Wow. Make sure you find some time for you in all of this.

Julie- The ones we love-especally the furry ones are never really gone from our hearts. They guarded us in life and still do in spirt.

Ok I woke up philisophical this morning. Some one send snow my way please :!:

Thanks Viki. I have the same reading issue with sinuses that you do. I’m just “off” but not sick. I didn’t even go to the gym. Insomnia does not help :-) But I’ll bounce back, I always do.

I’ve never tried true Thai food, but that place sounds so fun! What a find for you!

Shiloh, that’s excellent news on your son’s clear scans! But so sorry he’s sick with ear infections. Isn’t it amazing how fast those infections can move? Poor guy!

Good luck on your test! You can do it!

Oh Julie, I am so sorry! That’s just heartbreaking. You must be so lonely without Kodiac. The only good thing out of this is Kodiac knew you loved him/her enough to do the right thing even when it broke your own heart. That’s a very special kind of love.

B.E., wow it seems we all had frustrating or upsetting weekends. I can really relate to your situation of hating what you wrote. Been here done that.

But so cool that your daughter was able to help!

Kat, I bet the chili powder would work! Then my stomach would rebel, LOL!

    I like when you’re philosophical!

The Only’s iPhone was stolen. I had chapter meeting and got volunteered to build a website for a new contest they’re going to have. I cleaned bathrooms. Can I have an appletini now? ;)

Shiloh – I hope your boy is doing better. It’s so hard when our kids are ill. My youngest got healthy when he was around 7. It’s so hard on them but boy is it hard on us to see them in pain all the time.
Julie – My heart goes out to you. The connection our furry family members make with us is just as tight a bond as with the humans. Know that there are many of us out here that understand how you feel and we send you our best wishes.
Jen – If you like spicy food Thai really is a great way to go. Now for a personal q – Do you live near Paramount? Hubs has a plant there (he has them all over the world) so it got me thinking it may be near you. Not like I ever travel with him ;).

I’m not reading about many good weekends here, witches. And mine wasn’t any better. I started getting a cough last week. It’s now developed into chest congestion. I’ve been coughing so much my chest, throat and back all hurt. Hoping to get into the docs office tomorrow.

Jen, hope your headache goes away. I’ve had a few of those myself lately. I blame the weather :( Hope you feel better soon!

Silver, that’s terrible that your daughter’s iPhone was stolen! I’m so sorry!

Really, a website? Cause you have time????

I cleaned bathrooms too, right there with you on that misery. If only they stayed clean!

Viki, I like spicy food, just can’t tolerate it very well these days.

Paramount is quite a ways away from me. You’re like me! I rarely go with Wizard either when he’s traveling for work. Usually he’s super busy then, and I use the time/quiet to work :-)

Dawn, I’ll take my headache over your chest congestion and cough. That doesn’t sound good. Hope you can get into the docs. Let us know how you’re doing.

Thanks Ladies! He’s doing better, this is his 9th ear infection in the past 12 months and the second time his ear drum has perforated. So we get to see an ENT, only problem is the soonest we could get in is March 19. *sigh* But thank you for all the comments! Hope everyone had a great day yesterday! :-P
