Random Musing

More physical therapy today.  I’m going to sit in the lobby and work on my laptop I think.

I’ve sent off Ram’s novella to the copy editor, and now I’m trying to focus on revising the dragons. It’s Cheyenne Quay, my heroine, giving me problems. So after dealing with hospital/insurance issues and assorted crap yesterday, I had three hours to work yesterday. I concentrated, I thought, I plotted…

…and got nowhere.

Then I took BLB to his girlfriend’s house, and on the ten minute ride back when I was by myself, I had an idea.

I don’t know why it works that way. But it just does. I can’t force the solutions. But we’ll see if it’s a workable solution.

What are you guys up to today?

It is strange how inspiration comes to you in the most unusual places. I’m very happy to hear you are working out the problem. I’m very interested in finding out more about this heroine of your. I love her name.
It’s Thursday so I’m cleaning bathrooms. I’m also going to start weeding out my life of junk since the hubs may be forcing me to move to Scottsdale. It’s unreal how much junk I have 8-O .

Working 9 to 5 (did you say it in your head like the song?) . Well, actually, working from 7:00 to 3:30. The company I work for makes animal medicine, so it will be another day of following endless rules and running around like crazy. At least I get paid.

Hubby was able to pee his way out of the hospital on Monday. So this week has been catch up on all the stuff at work that piled up.
Any of the WS know how to run a back hoe? Send them my way.

Me- Digging Digging Where was that? What was I thinking when I wrote this? Mutter Mutter. low curse. Loud scream as I am burried in an avalanche of paper work.

Send Ram and a St Bernard to WV quick.

Funny how it works that way. I’m glad you found the solution you were looking for – even if it wasn’t when you were looking for it.

I’m hip-deep in getting the house tidy before I pick the kid up for spring break. Today I’m tackling her room so she can sleep somewhere clean. (Lord only knows what her dorm room looks like by now. :shudder:)

YES! Driving. I don’t know what it is. I can be stuck and frustrated, get in the car to run errands and then…get lost. Really. I’ll drive right by the turn I need to make to get where I’m going because Iffy is dancing on the dashboard and whispering sweet inspiration in my head. I scare myself sometimes. ;)

Yay for FORBIDDEN MAGIC trotting along to the next stop on the publication journey. And like others, I love the heroine’s name, too. I hope she straightens up and starts to cooperate!

    Congrats on Forbidden Magic!

I’m with you on driving. I figure out a lot of things while driving.

As for today, I’m trying desperately to find the bed in the spare bedroom before my MIL arrives on Saturday. I’m also dealing with insurance issues, school paperwork, and a billion other things I wish would just disappear.

Viki, you’re moving to Scottsdale? Isn’t it supposed to be really pretty there? But you’d have to leave your family and friends, and that would suck.

I used to clean bathrooms everything Thursday! Now it’s when I can.

I’m happy so far with what I’ve come up with. Chey is a Fae with plant and animal magic. But she’s got some massive problems going on.

Labrat11, that was mean! Now that song is stuck in my head!

Interesting job. But I bet all the regulations are frustrating and annoying. But yeah, a paycheck is nice. Especially a steady paycheck. Unlike my job.

Kat, I feel for you on the paperwork! I have endless crap from BLB’s accident. Plus dealing with all the phone calls. Sigh.

Glad hubby is out! Hope he listens to you now :-)

Good luck on getting caught up. We all dream of that, LOL!

B.E., so true on inspiration. The sad thing is I know it works like that, yet I spend fruitless time tying to force it at my desk. Although I tell myself that all that time was laying the foundation.

I’m betting you don’t want to see the kid’s dorm room. Yay on picking her up to have her home for a bit. That will be fun.

Silver, I’m with you on daydreaming and not paying attention to where I am. I’m usually paying attention to my driving, though thankfully.

Cheyenne was surprising the heck out of me this morning. BLB had an early P/T, so I sat int he lobby and wrote five pages while waiting. That’s pretty good for me, since it’s beginning of the book/proposal. They always take me longer to write. Now we’ll have to see if I actually like the pages.

Julie, sympathies on insurance issues! Right there with you, although so far, I’ve had decent response when I call.

Good luck finding that bed. It should be this hard. How do we acquire so much stuff?

LOL We get ideas in the strangest places. Usually I am in the shower when everything hits me. Lucky me I have a 7 and 5 year old, so I have bathtub crayons. Yes, I really do use them to write on the bathroom wall so I remember what I remembered in the shower! Whatever works, right?!

I hope everyone is having a safe week! I complained of not knowing what to do with myself yesterday because I’m on break between quarters. So what happens that night, I get an email from a couple instructors letting us know we are going over 8 chapters when we get back so better get a headstart on reading…..that’ll teach me to open my big mouth!

Hey Jenn – Right now I’d say we are moving to Scottsdale in a few months. It was either Scottsdale, CA, or he retires. Since we still have a boy in college I told him no to the retire thing. I think he’d be unhappy w/o his work.
The boys are all kind of cool about it. They want a place to come vacation. I’m a northeast girl who loves the cold so this should be really interesting.

Moving all my exercise equipment will be an adventure too ;).

I’m liking Chey already. Can’t wait to find out what kind of mess she’s caught up in.

Kat – I’m glad to hear your hubby is home.
