Reading and A Review

In case you haven’t seen it and wish too, there’s a review of FORBIDDEN MAGIC here.  I sent the book out to two reviewers and they have both been awesome! I’ll let you know when the other review is up.

Okay, reading. This is crazy, but I’ve been trying to read PRIMAL BONDS by Jennifer Ashley for a week now. It’s pretty good, that’s not the problem. It’s just time. I thought this week would be better since I sent my projects off–but I am having such a great response to the announcement of publishing FORBIDDEN MAGIC, that juggling all that is taking up my free time. I am soooo not complaining though!

So what are you all reading? And just so you all know, I’ll be scarce for part of tomorrow too. I have a doctor appointment, and some things to do that will keep me away from the computer.

I hope all goes well for you at the doctors later today.

Time, the elusive creature. Wish I had more of it to read too. I am so happy to hear the great response to FORBIDDEN MAGIC. I can’t wait to read it. Right now I just finished Cynthia Edens Angel of Darkness and am about to begin The Vampire Diaries – Moonsong. I like to throw YA’s in my mix.

    Have a great day :).

Primal Bonds was a good read, Pride Mates was the first story of that series, also good.

Just finished JD Tyler’s Primal Law and Black Magic (short ebook). The next book comes out on Tuesday. They were not bad. Kind of a new take on werewolf meets PsyOps meets SEALs. Now on to a fluffy contemporary romance to even out the paranormal.

Good luck with getting time to read. If I don’t read a little bit every day, I go just a little bit crazy (crazier than normal that is).

Good luck at the doctor’s today. Way to go on the awesome review and feedback for Forbidden Magic.

Right now, I’m reading Doubletake by Rob Thurman. It’s a little harsher than her previous books, but still pretty awesome. Next up? Oh hell, I have no idea. Maybe Monica McCarty’s new release The Saint – if I can find locally. Otherwise, I have to dive into my TBR pile and lord only knows what I’ll find in there. LOL

Congrats on the great reviews, even though I’m not surprised. And good luck with the doctor.

I’ve been lucky to get quite a bit of reading in this week due my old friend insomnia. I’ve just read JD Tyler’s Black Magic, Robin Owens’ Hearts & Swords, and am almost finished with Stephanie Rowe’s Hold Me if You can. I think next I’m on to Allison Pang’s newest. I have Primal Bonds on my TBR list, but I haven’t felt the “vibe” to read it yet. Every book has its time is my motto. After Allison, I think I’m going to hop back to a bit of non-fiction. I’ve got a diary of a Civil War soldier and My Dearest Friend: the Letters of Abigail and John Adams that I pick up every couple of months and continue. Both are really wonderful, rich reads.

BE– you cracked me up. I had to move part of my TBR books into 2 of those really large reusable grocery bags because I no longer have shelf room. It’s like the mysterious deep and I’m never sure what I’ve forgotten about. RenMan gripes about the sheer volume of my books to which I reply I’m investing in my retirement reading…..

WooHoo on the reviews! Though I’m not surprised! I can’t wait for FORBIDDEN MAGIC!

I’m reading Linda Goodnight’s THE CHRISTMAS CHILD at the moment. This book is an Inspirational RITA finalist and I’m taking a part in a Smart Bitches challenge to have all the finalists read and reviewed. After CHILD, I’m rereading JD Robb’s NEW YORK TO DALLAS and her novella, CHAOS IN DEATH for the same challenge. It’s been long enough since I read them, and they are good enough for a reread, that I need to refresh my memory before I write a review.

So far, I’m really enjoying CHILD. While it’s not “hot and sexy” there’s a lot of flirting and desire there and the underlying story of both hero and the child involved are breaking my heart–in the best way!

Good luck with the doc, Jen!

Love the review and I so can not wait for the book.

Still in the Posiden series by Allysa Day. I think the book I just started may regain my intrest in the Series. This hero is not so much a cookie cutter so far.

Sorry I’m so late in answering! A crazy day.

Viki, I really enjoy some YA’s too. And thank you on Forbidden Magic. The response pre-release has really touched me.

Labrat11, I should get Pride Mates. I met Jennifer Ashley–she’s a hard worker and very smart! So I bought the book that was there.

Your description of JD Tyler’s shorter books caught my interest. I may go take a look.

B.E., thanks on the docs. It was fine. Just a long day.

Love your TBR pile plan! I have two now–one in traditional and one on my Kindle. And there’s a third of TBB (to be bought) as well–assuming I can remember them.

Silver, you’re brave to take on the challenge! Awesome. I want to know how it goes.

I really liked NEW YORK TO DALLAS. I generally don’t read Inspirations but if you like THE CHRISTMAS CHILD, maybe I should give it a try.

I seem to be the only one surprised on FORBIDDEN MAGIC :-)
