Reading?

I’m wiped and the week isn’t over.  My days are just brimming with twists. In good news, my agent is very enthusiastic about the dragons now. And yeah, even that caught me by surprise, LOL.It really shouldn’t have given all the blood, sweat and tears poured into many months of revisions.

So onto reading. I’m going to write this blog post then go buy Sylvia Day’s BARED TO YOU on Kindle and read that, I think.  What are you all reading?

And FYI, there another except and giveaway over at Books -n-Kisses blog!

Good for you. You need some reading and relaxation time :).

Hope it’s not bad form to bring up another dragon series, but I just finished the latest in Deborah Cooke’s Dragonfire novels, Flashfire. It was great.

If it was bad form, sorry  , but at least you know I like dragons and your novels will be a sure addition to my reading list.

    Enjoy your reading.

Yay for your agent being jazzed about your dragons! Let’s get those puppies published so I can be all jazzed, too. Hurry hurry, chop chop. LOL, no pressure. ;o)

I was right in the middle of The Better Part of Darkness by Kelly Gay, and also re-reading Elizabeth I, CEO – but then yesterday I got a wild hair and started reading Forbidden Magic, too. I’m not usually a ‘more than one book at a time’ person, but I couldn’t help myself.

BTW, the hurryhurrychopchop up there… I’m just kidding. Take all the time you need. I can wait. =oD

Congrats Jen on all the good things & publicity you’ve been getting!!! I’ve been too busy to follow you online this week, bummer!

I just finished Sara Humphreys’ 2 books, and now I think I’m going on to Christine Warren’s On the Prowl. But the really exciting book news at my place is that DrillSgt Girl, who’s dyslexic, just finished her first full length book in Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone. It took her several months, but she finally finished and then demanded that I get her The Chamber of Secrets for her kindle. (there are no studies, but it’s a great tool for kids struggling to read.). BTW, Pottermore, the only place to get the books in eformat has the coolest download policy ever! ( well Smashwords is cool too, but they don’t include audio in the same price!)

    Yay, dragons!

Yay for the dragons! Dragons are hot. ;)

Congrats, too, on a double. I’ll be all mysterious and let you announce it. :D

I’m rereading JD Robb’s NEW YORK TO DALLAS for a guest review. It’s actually fitting my mood this week, given today’s “anniversary”. All I can say is, is it the weekend yet!?!?

Labrat11, it’s not bad form at all! Please don’t ever feel like that! I’m as much a reader/fan as I am a writer. I love hearing about any books. Plus I pretty much stayed away from dragons while developing mine, but now I’d love to read some. So I’ll make a note-thanks!

I only got to read a little bit before something else came up. But that’s life!

B.E., you’re making me laugh! First thanks on the dragons (we’ll see!) and FM! I am running hard through my days but not getting any book-writing done. It’s utterly insane. I’ve never had so much going at once like this.

Lately I’ve been switching around books too. I think it’s my super short attention span :-)

Julie, that is very exciting news about your daughter! She will absolutely improve her read/comprehension/language and concentration skills by reading fiction she enjoys. You must be very proud!

I’m going to try to remember to look at Pottermore.

Silver, I’m a little confused on the “Double”. I sent you an email, can you check it when you get a chance. I’m telling you, my week has been exceedingly weird.

Yeah, today is that anniversary. I remember it well as it’s only one of my son’s birthday. Hang in there. Oh and I really enjoyed NEW YORK TO DALLAS.

Yup Jenn – He called me from work Tuesday and asked what I was doing Sun through Wed. I told him and then he said the Ritz on Amelia Island Florida has a room on the club floor with my name on it. I about died. I love Amelia Island and to stay at the Ritz, I think I’d cancel anything if it were on the calendar for this trip. Then yesterday he calls me again and says he changed our plans that we’ll head home Thursday. This way we go to Universal for a night and he gets to ride Spiderman and Harry Potter :).

This will be the first time we’ve ever gone anywhere alone. We didn’t honeymoon and all trips have been with the kids or work.

Julie – How exciting for your daughter. She must be so happy. I have several dyslexic family members (all adults) and three of them can’t read because it’s so frustrating. They do the audio books. Kudos for your daughter and her success!
