Late! Sorry!

My apologies for being late. I was a bit ill last night, but all better now! Naturally I had an early morning appointment too, so I’m dead tired, but still feeling much better.

This has been kind of a wild week, and therefore I’m not getting as much writing done as I need to. However, I am getting to know Linc and Risa so much better. I love them, and I really hope I can do their story justice in CAGE MAGIC.  This picture is close to them in the tone, but not exact on the looks:

Linc has longer hair, with lighter shades, and Risa is never so polished, but the look in their eyes…yeah. That troubled look, and the way they are pulling together is dead on.

Enough about that. Tomorrow I’m going to lunch with a friend and really looking forward to it. How about you guys? Any plans?

Whatever you do, have a great weekend! And stay well!

LOVE this picture. I can definitely feel the vibes and from what I’ve gleaned about Linc and Risa, they are dead on! (If not actually in looks, )

I’m taking Lawyer Guy out to dinner tonight for his birthday and then I plan on working all weekend. I have some holes to fill in on WOLF MOON before I can ship it off to my CP for initial edits. I’m mostly on track for a September release (especially since the series got an “October Pick” from the Self-Published column in Romantic Times! *squees a little*)

Feel better soon and enjoy lunch tomorrow, Jen! TGIF, witches!!!

Tell the boys (the real men and the charaters in you life- may be they are one in the same- anyways) tell them to be waiting on you hand and foot this weekend so you will get better and be able to write. That would make you happy and then of course when the witch is happy everybody is happy.

Depending on the weather my crew may make it out to the local county fair. We will probbly end up winning a fish at the fair. That would be ok we need one for the rain barrel. I will have to walk through all the exhibts just to walk off my favorite fair food- pork BBQ, Lemonade, funnel cake and apple dumplings. I may have to walk home to really put a dent in those calories.

Kat, Wizard took care of me last night, but I am desperately trying not to be sick today. I am better, maybe just not a 100%

The fair sounds like fun! I thought fair food calories didn’t count? I’m sure that’s true. Go and enjoy!

I’m glad you shook off the illness and are feeling better. I can’t stand not feeling well on the weekend.

I hope you have a great time with your friend tomorrow. Those lunch dates can be just what we need to re-invigorate ourselves.

I like the photo you’ve chosen for Risa and Linc. The eyes do say so much. I also have to say I like her belly ring ;).

Tomorrow morning I’m getting the PhD kid up and taking him to order a new car. We’re getting him a 2013 Cruze. This should help with his gas costs. Other than that I don’t think I’m doing anything out of the ordinary.

    Have a great weekend :)!

Awesome pic! Though I’d like to see less of her and more of him :) Glad you’re feeling better and hope you have fun tomorrow.

Silver – That’s great news on the series! Now when is that coming to B&N so I can get it for my Nook?

    Kat – I agree w/ Jenn…fair food calories don’t count :)

Viki – PhD kid will love the Cruze. I bought a 2012 last December and I love mine. I’ve been getting between 30-32 MPG this summer w/ the A/C running; up to 35 MPG before that. It’s a great little car. Even better is that no one owned it before me 8)

    Have a great weekend, witches!

And you thought you were late today. Sheesh. Better late than never.

Sorry you had a crazy week. The pic’s pretty good for giving an idea of the feel of the relationship between Risa and Linc. Not big on tattooed, pierced chick pics, though. I can skip past those things in a novel, but eww. Have fun with your friend lunch.

Here, the plan is to write, query, wait impatiently for college football to start… 8 days to kickoff. I have to shuttle the kid to work for a little bit to handle month end/fiscal year end/pre-audit stuff. And the hubs might have to work just to stay ahead of all the crap he has going next week. Welcome to the workend. ;o)

Viki, the new car for the kid is exciting! Let us know Monday how that goes! Important details, like what color? :-)

I like her belly ring too. It’s subtle. But their intensity really comes through for me.

Sick just sucks, and I’m tired of Wizard having to deal with this. He never ever complains, but I would rather take care of him when he comes home after a long day of work.

Dawn, LOL on wanting to see more of him. I can get on board with that.

Thanks, I am getting better quickly.

Sounds like you really love your car!

B.E., I hear you on the “workend” which is a great word by the way! Doesn’t it seem like weekends, days off, and true vacations are becoming a thing of the past?

I often like things better in books than real life. I’m not sure why her tat and belly ring works for me. I suspect I’m reacting more to the feel of the pic, than the actual details as my subconscious is working through the emotions and plot in the book.

    Jenn –

I’m glad to hear how much you like the Cruze. We were going to buy PhD kid one in March but they didn’t have what we wanted and the dealer kept trying to force a car on us that we didn’t want. I walked out. Now that we could order the 2013 that’s what we did. The kid will have what he wants and no crazy extras a 23 yr old doesn’t need.

The car will be black with tan interior, a sunroof and most important of all the top of the line sound system ;). It will be here in 6 to 8 weeks. It’s funny since they’re made 65 miles from here :).

How are you feeling? I’m hoping you’re well and can enjoy your weekend especially lunch today.

Viki, I think it was Dawn that actually has the Cruze. I’m so with you on walking out when they try to sell you want you don’t want. We’ve had some interesting car buying experiences. I’m happy to hear you guys are able to order just want you want.

LOL on the sounds system. With 3 sons, I know more than I ever wanted too!

Lunch was great, thanks for asking! Such a nice day out.
