Happy Friday!

All right, last time I looked up, it was Monday! How is it Friday? I’m working and stressing and really need Time to cooperate just a little bit here.

Is that too much to ask?

So do you want to hear our big weekend plans? Ready for it? We’re going to the dentist tomorrow.

Bet you all wish you were me, right?

Please tell me you have better weekend plans that me!

Have a great weekend!

I wish you all the best at the dentist. I’m a weirdo and love to go. Having my teeth cleaned is one of the things I really love. They never have to work very hard on them and they feel so good afterwards that I refuse to eat :).

No big plans this weekend. I’m thinking about driving into Amish country ans getting some cider and cheese on Sat. It’s supposed to be cool and rainy so a good trip for me.

    Have a great weekend!

Viki- Almish country would not happen to be getting cheese from Hienez would it? Man you are making me miss where I grew up. I always loved going to Walnut Creek in the fall with the cool weather and beautiful fall colors.

Jen- Dentist Huh. Anytime some one says Dentist to me the Dentist’s theme song from Little Shop of Horror’s goes through my mind. I was once part of a 2 person team that played the part of the plant in community production so it really sticks with me especially the line “that guy sure looks like plant food to me”

This weekend will be busy with the normal house cleaning, kid running, and grocery shopping. I plan to finish the costume and take pictures this weekend. So everyone will get to see it before I go to the readers weekend. I will send you a picture by email Jen and you can decide if you want to share it with the witches. I have a 1/2 mask and will have some special make up on so I will not really look like me. Sometimes it is just fun to step outside of yourself and be the hidden you.

Good luck at the dentist. I hope it’s just a regular visit and not something painful.

Big plans for the weekend? I only have two chapters left to rewrite and those suckers better be done today (the latest tomorrow night) or I might just have to prevent myself from watching tomorrow’s big game as punishment for being a slacker. And I have to take the Kid into the clinic today. She’s got a cold she just can’t shake and it’s making her feel like crap. I don’t know what they can do for her, but at least we’ll know if it’s just a cold and not something worse, like mono or strep. Keep your fingers crossed that whatever it is, I don’t get it.

I’ve been trying to get Lawyer Guy to go to the dentist. Will you take him with you? ;)

My chapter is doing a retreat at a local B&B but I’m not going. They’re doing an intensive plotting bootcamp geared more toward the unpubbeds. If we were going for intensive writing, I’d go. As it is, I’ll be helping LG rebuild the back fence — replacing three panels before the boys figure out they can shoulder through it and get to the little dog on the other side. Luckily, there’s a short concrete block fence behind the wooden fence but both of them are taller than the wall. After that, I’m going to harness Iffy and get some serious writing done. No. Seriously. Stop laughing! I am!!!

Viki, you like going to the dentist? Huh. I like the clean feeling but hate the time suck of going.

Sounds like a fun trip! I would love the cheese. Have fun!

Kat, really? You had to put that in my head? LOLOL!! You’ve done some interesting things!

I can’t wait to see your costume! Send it when you’re ready and I’ll share it (as long as that’s okay with you.) I always loved Halloween just for the reason you said–a costume lets you be someone else, sometimes that secret person you always wanted to be. It’s fun!

B.E. your poor kid! It’s probably time to make sure it hasn’t gone form a virus to an infection. Hope she feels better soon!

You can so rewrite those two chapters over the weekend, and take a break to watch at least some of the game. You deserve some down time too, you know. Congrats on being so close on the book!

Silver, why are men so stubborn? Although Wizard is good about the dentist he can be like that on some things.

Fixing a fence? Ugh. But I can see where you’d been to do that pronto if there’s a little dog taunting your moose-sized doggies. And I know how little dogs like to taunt for some odd reason. Even my beloved Bailey does it.

We need to get Iffy a boyfriend to keep her busy for a while, what do you think?

Kat – I’m in Geauga county so I stick to the Amish around Middlefield. There’s a really nice cheese co-op near there that my 23 yr old likes to go to.
Jenn – I don’t even mind the time because my dentist is 5 minutes away and because they really don’t have to do anything it ‘s about 30 minutes in the chair.
    B. E. and Silver – you both sound like you’re going to be very busy.

No mono or strep. Just a virus. And… one chapter down, one to go.
