Happy Friday

Ever feel like you’re living in a blur? That’s how I feel–next week is Thanksgiving. How did that happen? But it’s okay, Thanksgiving is going to be very small and easy for us. And I think Bailey is coming, which is awesome!

But the living life in a blur thing is exhausting. It’s taken me nearly a week to read one book, and that’s very unusual for me.  And this weekend will be more work.

So what about you guys? What are your weekend plans? Do you have Thanksgiving plans?  Are you finding time to read and relax?

Oh and another question, anyone read GONE GIRL by Gillian Flynn? I’m wondering if I should try it?

I hope you are able to get things to calm down so you can enjoy the day with Bailey and the family. Just having him there will be helpful ;).

The past several weeks have been awful for me with reading. I normally read 2 1/2 books a week and like you I’ve only been getting through one. Living in a blur is not conducive to reading.

I’m having normal Thanksgiving on Thursday and then another dinner on Friday so the eldest and his wife can come over. It’s too much work but it’s also nice so I won’t complain. Oh look – no reading next week either :(.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I also have been pretty slow getting through only 1 book this week. What is going on? I can’t even say I am really busy. More apathetic because the books haven’t been that good. Oh, well, we will get out of it sooner or later, right??

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

I know! When did it get to be the Friday before Thanksgiving?! I’m totally not ready for it. And don’t even get me started on Christmas. It’s not time. There’s no time. It’s The Blur. (Like The Blob, but with crappier PR.) ;o)

One book a week is about my speed right now. It’s the end of the year, it’s November…

I make plans for the weekend and they go to hell, so about the only plans I have is to fight off this approaching cold (please let it be allergies) and keep my fingers crossed I can actually get some work done. As for Thanksgiving, all I have to do is buy the fixings for dinner. Hubs does the rest. Turkey Day means the kitchen is all his. =o)

yeah, this living life in a blur thing really stinks. I remember waiting for summer so I could beat the winter blues and here comes the cold again …

and I don’t read nearly as much nor as fast as I used to but I try to get at least one chapter in a night before I turn out my light.

as for plans – we all get together over my sister’s house for Thanksgiving. I’ll be making pretzels (the extent I’m willing to go to as far as baking is concerned 8-O ) it’s never been my favorite holiday – I remember being forced to eat too much when I was little and all I like is the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy but it’s better now that I’m grown ’cause I can put what I want on my plate ;)

A long time ago we decided that thanks giving ment pie, cheese ball, crackers, deviled eggs, a veggie tray and sandwich fixings. Blur…. Makes me think of the country song “Don’t Blink”.

You know just about anything you can think of there is a country song for it.

Hilight of my weekend is going to the book club. :-D

We need a spell to slow down time so we can all read.

Sorry Jen I have not read the book or anything by that author.

Viki, you are doing a lot of work! My eldest and his fiance are coming over on the weekend after–I told him I’m not cooking a second T-Day dinner. We’ll do something though, and maybe a pie.

Living at this fast a pace is not good for us.

Labrat11, I sympathize with your reading funk. I go through those too, then eventually, a book comes along that I love again.

Ban, I cringe at forcing anyone to eat! No wonder it’s not your favorite holiday.

Fresh baked pretzles sound good to me!
