Weekend Roundup

It’s been crazy, and Wizard is still off today. I’m craving my normal routine and anxious to start revising THE PROPOSITION.

And I ate too much :-) I made a lemon cheesecake that turned out pretty good, plus chocolate cookies. I got rid of the cookies but the cheesecake is still here. I must resist! I really overate last night.

Oh and I bought my first Christmas gift–I guess there’s no avoiding the holidays now.

So how was your weekend?

In a word my weekend was tiring. Two big meals together is too much. Being with family made it worth it. I too ate way more than normal. All of the goodies I baked are gone except two pcs of berry pie.
It’s amazing how having the guy under foot for days on end really messes with our routine. Mine goes back to work today. Yes, that is a big smile on my face.
I hope the revisions go smoothly.
    Have a great day.

I totally hear ya there. Today’s the day that the Hubs and the Kid go back to work, so maybe I’ll get a little normal here. Good luck with revisions.

You still have cheesecake left? Mine was gone Saturday. And yeah, I ate way too much. I’m still holding out against the holidays. The Christmas spirit just hasn’t caught me yet.

The rest of the weekend was okay. Most of my teams lost which was sad, but I got some pages out in my new jazzy story, so it balances. Plus, I got a wild hair and started a new blogging endeavor called “The Unpublished Writers’ Guide to Survival” where I’ll be posting tips and hints of my own, plus guest blogs. Kind of a pay it forward thing. Here’s hoping it catches on. :-D

BE cool on the new blog – although I am not a writer I am very interested in the writing process and the publishing struggles. I will be sure to drop by your blog to support you.

Viki I am so with you on the getting back to routine. The kids were grumpy getting up for school this morning. But we have a very small house 24×48 and it is hard when we are there on top of each other for too long.

The black friday sale I worked went fine unlike some of the stuff you see in the media. Though after 12 hours on my feet I slept though the rest of Black Friday. Standing in line for 2 hours for a camera is nothing. The person in the front of the line at the store I worked at was there at 5am and the store did not open until midnight. That is insane. Well some one else’s insanity was my christmas earnings I guess.

Viki, I bet you have a big smile on your face. I will tomorrow :-)

We had three big meals, two with family and a party unrelated to T-Day. Too much for me!

Thanks on the revisions. I just want to get going here. We had appts this morning, now I’m settling in to work.

B.E., can you give us a link to your new blog? I want to see! So a wild new hair cut? That sounds cool!

I have pie left because I didn’t make it until yesterday–well I made it Saturday for yesterday. I made a big dinner Thursday and Sunday and I’m so over that now :-)

You sound excited about the new story!

Kat, standing in line like that to wait for a store to open is insane to me too! I’ve never done this before, I just wanted Wizard to buy the camera before he changed his mind. I could get it for him, but then it’s a THING, LOL! This way worked.

I bet you were tired! But at least you didn’t have any over the top craziness. I know the store we were at everyone was very well behaved.

Hope things smooth out at your house!

LOL, no… ‘a wild hair’ – like some crazy thing that tickles at you until you can’t stand it anymore.

The blog’s here: http://unpublishedwritersguide.blogspot.com/ – stop on by. And if any of the witches have anything to say, they’re welcome to guest post. I want it to be a ‘pay it forward’ type place where we can all share our stories and tips, etc.

Sounds like everyone had a busy weekend! I worked all but Sunday. Turkey Day, I got out around 11:30 and rushed home. I was hoping to be ready before company came. No such luck. I was still in the shower! Other than that, we all ate too much and had a good time. I made white chocolate bread pudding. It was amazing! I have to remember to make it more often :D Saturday, my cousin and I went to see Breaking Dawn 2 after I got out of work. Then I went out to dinner w/ her and a friend. Sunday was my day to be lazy. I sat and read most of the day.

Jen, that cheesecake sounds wonderful! I love cheesecake and lemon. Put them together and mmmmmmm!

B.E – good luck w/ the blog! I’d say I was sorry about your team, but I’d be lying ;) Go Bucks!!

B.E., just looking at the site now, it’s great! Can I share this on my FB page? I know you said spread it around, but I want to ask to be sure. If you don’t see this comment, then I’ll scrounge up your email and shoot you the request.

    I love paying it forward!

Dawn, I swear you are Superwoman! I usually get tired just reading about your weekends, but working on T-Day then have company is way above and beyond!

It would be totally awesome if you mention it, Jen. Even awesomer if I could someday talk you into a guest post. Maybe when you get close to a release date or something. =o)

It is really hard to control your intake when you are around your family and surrounded by food. It is fun to eat and guilt always comes at the end. Anyway, I do love to read and I am going to wait for your future blog posts.
