Holiday Hangover!

This is Bailey last night (Christmas), totally worn out.

Our holiday was great, but somehow it’s always exhausting.  All the boys were home, and of course, Bailey Dog with his new hoodie sweat shirt.  It’s pretty cold here so Bailey was happy to wear it. He got a new cow-toy that he loves. He refused to put it down except when Wizard and the boys flew remote control helicopters all over the house.

Bailey HATED those helicopters.  He jumped up and snatched one mid-flight, but let it go before damaging it.  Bailey really is one of the boys :-)

Wizard only works a couple days this week, but I need to get back to work and finish my last revisions/line edits on THE PROPOSAL. First, though, I need to get to the gym! And stop eating junk food!

How was your holiday?

Bailey is totally stylin’ in his new hoodie. Yay for a great (and uneventful) holiday with your men. Good luck with the line edits, and the gym, and the not eating junk.

The holiday here was nice, other than the snow and the cold. It was quiet. The Hubs and the Kid enjoyed themselves. The ham turned out yummy (even if we have scads of leftovers – no idea what possessed me to buy such a big ham for three people). All in all, a good day.

Relaxed and Read. That is a great holiday to me.

BE I have some great left over ham recipies. We end up with left overs till I am making bean soup with the bone.

The good part of the snow we are having in my neck of the woods is that it means my office is closed and I can work  from home. Let’s see work on boring paper work or read the latest book from Alyssa Day that I got for christmas. Bet you all know which will win.

Be safe if you are out traveling anywhere and if not I hope you all enjoy some snow day time. Even if you don’t have the snow.

LOL, me too, Kat. Soups, casseroles, sandwiches, etc. Good thing my family likes ham (in all its forms). ;o)

Awwwww BAILEY DOG! Thanks for giving us our Bailey fix, Jen. Instead of digging out from the 8 inches of snow predicted yesterday, I’m staring out the window at the inch of ice and inch of snow. Technically, it was a white Christmas. But…ugh. Christmas was here and we had a wonderful time with Only, Baseball Boy and the BIL/SIL. We still did turkey sandwiches but at the table with some sides and yummy desserts. I’m thinking the sweets need to migrate from my counter to the trash…just sayin’!

I need to get back to work, too, but it’s been fun to just veg out and read. I’m doing about a book a day as I catch up on Christine Warren’s Others series.

Happy Hump Day, witches! Stay safe in all this wicked weather!!!!

Oooh. Ham! I miss ham. I may have to buy a little one for Lawyer Guy and me for New Year’s Eve…

B.E., Amen on uneventful! The best gift for all of us is seeing BLB doing better.

LOL on so much ham! When I’m not watching calories and fat–cubing it with jack cheese and baking that rolled into croissants is really good :-)

Sounds like you got hit hard by the storm. Stay safe!

Kat, that’s great that you can work from home and not have to go out in the snow. But I know all-too-well how hard it is to resist the urge to read!

Silver, your dinner sounds good! I like easy. We did pretty easy stuff, but it still turned into a lot of dishes. Paper plates next year!

I’m with you on getting rid of the junk food. I just have to convince Wizard.

Bailey was a blast. He’s just so easy to have around :-)

Glad everyone had a good Christmas! I got to sleep in late. (8AM is late for me these days.) My sister and BIL got to the parents about 1. Then we opened presents before the rest of the crowd arrived. We had beef tenderloin, cheesy potatoes, salad, biscuits, and veggies. Plus a bunch of desserts. Mom bought way too much of the beef and we have tons leftover. That’s okay though. It’s hard to go wrong with beef :D

I’m with Kat on choosing books over work. I don’t have to worry about that today though, since I’m off. We’re also getting the snow today. I heard something about possible blizzard conditions in the area 8-O Not my idea of fun :(

    Happy Hump Day, witches!

My holiday was great! I got everything I really wanted and then plus some! Though, we did have a blizzard for the first time in 40 years and the winds were outrageous!!! I have small dogs and we ended up losing them in the snow with the first step. They ran back inside very quickly. lol! My dog, Sugar went out black and came in white! Poor baby was shivering though, so we warmed her and my other dog, Missy up nice and warm.

My niece has the family genes to get sick on holidays, unfortunetly. She’s 3 years old and had the flu, so I doubt she’ll even get to play in the snow on the ground.

Oh! I’m so happy you liked the present I sent you, too! Thanks again for the compliments! (Even though I really don’t deserve them!!!)

Dawn, I’m really glad you’re off if they are talking blizzard conditions! Hope you get to read all day :-)

Yum on your Christmas dinner! I was thinking earlier I should have made stuffed potato skins instead of mashed potatoes. Mostly though, I should stop thinking about food!

Stephanie, you are talented! I’ll show everyone on Friday the gift.

So glad to your Christmas went so well, but I’m sorry you’re niece is sick. And stay safe in all that snow!

Sounds like everyone had a nice Christmas.

Bailey looks like he played very hard :). He is so cute. Those helicopters could have been bad guys so Bailey was doing his job in protecting his family ;).

Pee Wee came over and had tons of fun Christmas Eve. John went to Pee Wee’s Christmas morning to fix the snow blower in prep for today (thank heaven!) and Pee Wee acted like he hadn’t seen him in weeks instead of hours ;).

I made cranberry scones for the first time for breakfast yesterday instead of my traditional orange rolls. They turned out pretty good. Dinner was kind of blah. The youngest had to go to a party at his bosses and the middle one got a migraine. Needless to say I made less food and John and I ate alone. We then decided to watch the latest Batman movie. John fell asleep 5 minutes into it :).

It’s snowing SO hard right now – I love it. I don’t have to go out in it and can just enjoy the view.

Now to start preparing for New Year’s, oh boy!

    Have a wonderful day!

Viki, Pee Wee is a lover! Bailey does that same thing.

Good thing you all are prepared for the snow!

Sorry about your Christmas dinner, but everything else turned out great. And the cranberry scones sound delicious.
