Super Awesome Present!

I got a huge surprise gift from Stephanie, one of our “witches” here on the the blog. I’m just amazed at her talent. She’s one of our younger witches, never had a class, and yet she immortalized Axel and Darcy in a sculpture.

Wizard used his new camera to take some pictures:

Ignore how tired I look here–I was battling insomnia and losing big time :-)

I love this statue! Thank you so much Stephanie!

Changing subjects here, last night I told Wizard, “I’m full.”

Wizard says, “Stop eating cookies and candy.”

Um, duh. So I replied nicely,  “They are getting old anyway. I’m going to throw them all out tonight.”

“NO!!!” Wizard actually yelled, as if I had said I was going to kick a puppy.  “You can’t throw them away. My witch made those for me.  Step away from my cookies!”

Sigh…what am I supposed to do? Wizard just isn’t being reasonable.  I haven’t gained much, but I need to get rid of the junk food!

And lastly, Happy Friday! The weekend is here! My plan is hang out a bit with Biker Witch, work on THE PROPOSITION edits and take down the Christmas tree and decorations. I figure I’ll back vacuuming up the pine needles until Valentine’s day.

What are you doing this weekend?

(FYI, I’m planning to blog on Monday, New Year’s Eve.)

That is so good – what talent Stephanie has. Do you know what material she used for the sculpture?

As usual Wizard is too funny. Men and their treats :).

A few hours ago I went to bed and had just fallen asleep when I heard this loud bang. My 24 yr old walked into a door frame. 3 hours later and he has 5 stitches through his eyebrow and forehead. And the hubs said he’d be fine. Mom’s know best :).

I’m looking forward to the weekend to settle down a bit before New Year’s.

Have a wonderful weekend and please don’t throw out Wizard’s treats ;).

How cool is that. Way to go, Stephanie.

I threw out the last of the homemade cookies, but they were getting stale. And then I went and bought cookies from the half-off Christmas sale. (Didn’t mean for that to rhyme, but I’m going with the flow.) I’ll go back to being semi-normal after the first of the year.

I’ve got plans to actually get off my butt and work on my shiny idea. I have pages and pages to type into the computer. Maybe that’ll jump start my sluggish brain into sticking to the keyboard. We’ll see how that goes. Oh, and there’s college ball to watch. Yay.

Ack, Viki. I hope he’s okay. :hugs:

So cool. It is great how one type of art (writing) inspires so many other types of artistic expression. Anyone out there musically talented we need some WS theme music :-D

The great cookie debate huh? Take the left over ones and put them in the freezer. Yes everyone will forget about them and they will get freezer burnt in 2 months so that when you go to clean out the freezer 6 months from now you can throw them out with out guilt. I know it is a convoluted way of going about getting rid of them but it works for me.

Vicki I bet that story will not go up on your son’s face book page. No matter how old they get Mom will always be right and will always worry about them.

Awesome work, Stephanie! Lucky witch is our Jen to have such great fans. Viki…ACK! So glad he’s okay but now I’m wondering just what he was doing that he walked into the door frame… B.E., shiny is good. Now get to writing! And Kat, I like the way your mind works.

Jen, your mistake was telling Wiz. I just toss stuff when Lawyer Guy isn’t looking. ;) I’m watching it snow and realizing I have to get out in it. :( The big storm we were supposed to have Christmas turned out to be ice, mostly. Arkansas got the snow we were supposed to get. Today was supposed to be “ice fog” and instead we have snow. Trust me, I’ll take the snow! But…

I’m still doing my reading marathon. I have five more novels and two novellas in the series I’m reading. I’m also going to think about getting organized and making some writing/publishing plans for 2013.

You’re welcome for the gift, Jenn! I’m glad you liked it!!
Wizard doesn’t want to give up his cookies, huh? Can’t say I blame him! lol But if he want the cookies and you don’t, maybe you should have him stash them away where you won’t see them but he can eat them.

Viki, I used simple Sculpey Oven-Bake Clay. He was almost too tall to fit into my oven! lol

B.E., thanks! I liked how it turned out in the end, regardless of any mishaps during their creation. (It was always Axel, however…Stubborn, just like a man! lol!)

Kat, I know, right? It’s awesome for the writer and the readers! And they feel light and happy while they’re creating their art. And I agree! WS THEME SONG PLEASE!!!!

Silver, I’m sorry I took all your snow! lol But it’s mainly ice now too, the snow is hard, so no snowball fights here! (Unless you want to go to an emergency room afterwards..) And thank you for the compliment! :)

Viki, ouch! Your poor son! And of course you were right. The eyebrow area (and most of the head, unfortunately) splits open pretty easily and bleeds horribly. What a crappy night for all three of you! Hope your son is sleeping/resting today and letting the wound begin to heal. You probably need a nap!

Good thing Stephanie answered you on the material she used. I would have guessed clay, but I wasn’t sure :-)

I’m going to throw out the stale cookies and leave the two good kinds and the candy. Last year I showed Wizard how to revive the oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies in the microwave and created a monster (Cookie Monster!).

Get some rest this weekend and no more accidents!

B.E., you bought more cookies? LOLOL!!! You and Wizard are so alike! I need to try a lemon cupcake recipe and worried that it’s just too much junk food. I’ll lure one of my kids out here and give them to him :-) I got BLB to take home all the various kinds of chocolate I’d opened but hadn’t used up yesterday. (BLB is sooo my son! He’ll make use of the chocolate somehow).

Plus Wizard and I have unopened truffles from Biker Witch. We’re saving those for New Years Eve :-) And no one is getting those!

Ok enough junk food talk! Get to work on your shiny new idea. I’d bet typing your notes in will spark your interest/creativity!

Kat, what a cool idea about WS Theme Music! Now that we have the amazing statue, that’s all we need :-) And you know, I hadn’t thought about it, but you’re sooo right about one type of art inspiring another. I was just so touched by Stephanie using her talent to make such a lovely gift!

Putting them in the freezer is a good idea :-)

I meant to tell you, one of my sister-in-laws gave me the recipe in a jar gift. Very cool! I have it sitting out on my counter.

Stephanie, I love Axel and Darcy, but I think Wizard might love the statue even more that I do. He’s the one showing everyone before I have a chance to. Thank you again!

Wizard is going to have to let the cookies go. They really are getting old. I can make more later if he wants them.

Silver, good idea! I’ll throw out what I can today :-)

I believe you on the ice being worse than snow! I’ve heard that, though as a So Cal Girl I have very little experience with it myself.

Enjoy your reading marathon! We don’t do that enough, in my opinion.

Jenn, LOL on Wizard! It’s a new toy for him! :D Though, try to remind him it’s not to play with and that it’s yours too!!! :)

On the cookies: He’s propably thinking of the poor, uneaten cookies feeling unwanted and sad.
