Weekend Roundup

Pretty good weekend.  Middle son came out, then left Bailey with us while he made the rounds with his friends. This is Bailey waiting for me to finish working:

I got the edits done for the Entangled book by working until my eyes blurred.  And of course, I couldn’t just do the line edits they asked for, I had to tweak and fix as I went along like the nut-job that I am. But I got it done! Then I worked on assigning ISBN numbers to the Plus One Chronicles books, and doing various things like that. I just have to take one more look at a few things on the first one in that series, THE PROPOSITION then send it to the formatter.

Oh and I read THE SECRET OF ELLA AND MICHA by Jessica Sorensen that’s been on the best seller list for quite a while.  I really enjoyed it. I believe that book is self published.  It’s amazing how all the lines are blurring these days. But then I read one of the other self published books on the best seller list and couldn’t even finish it. So as always, it’s a matter of personal taste.

I’m not sure when Bailey and Middle Son are going home. I have the feeling that today is going to be crazy-busy, but I’m going to make a better effort to answer the comments. I feel bad not answering them on Friday!

So how was your weekend?

Bailey looks like such a good boy anxiously awaiting play time with you. I see he even brought a few toys out to try and entice you away from work ;).

You sure did have a productive weekend. I can just imagine the eye strain. I hope you took frequent breaks from looking at the screen.

We had the eldest son’s birthday at the Hibachi place and as I predicted my fingers swelled like crazy. The food was good so I endured ;). Daughter-in-law got fried Oreos for dessert. All loved them but me. I don’t know cookies should not be covered in dough and all mushy inside.

Have a great day and fun playing with Bailey!

Aww, Bailey’s being such a good boy. Yay for getting the edits done and for taking the time to read a book you didn’t write. And don’t sweat not answering comments. You’re super busy and we understand that. ;o)

The weekend was quiet for the most part. I did some reading on my new Kindle. Watched football (football’s almost over for the season :sob:). And worked on getting my daughter ready to move. She lost her job and since this place is the pits for finding work, she’s going to live with my middle sister in Michigan until she can find a job. I’ll be taking her over there next month. :sniffle:

Congrats on working so hard with such a sad eyed pup looking at you.

My weekend was spent cleaning and planning the logistics to go and have my husband’s eye surgery done on Tuesday. We have to travel 3hours to Morgantown to the University Hospital to have the surgery done. I have friends looking after the kids. We will not know till later today what time his surgery will be scheduled for on Tuesday. The weather is becoming a concern too. I am pretty use to winter driving even through the mountains, but it will make the trip longer. It is an out patient proceedure so I will be driving back sometime on Tuesday.

I learned to play chess along time ago. Dealing with this is a lot like playing chess. You plan out your game, start moving your peices and wait to see what happens next than adjust your stratagey. Patice and knowing that you can’t control every move but you have to see all the potential ways the game could go and be prepard for it. Oh yea and know the russian player is always going to win.

Viki, oh I hate that swollen finger thing too, but it sounds worth it. Well except for the fried oreos, that wouldn’t appeal to me, but Wizard and the boys would probably like it. Glad you guys had a good time. Happy Birthday to your eldest son!

I get up and move around when working like that, so I do take breaks. Plus I made a batch of cookies for middle son (Wizard is eating them all!)

B.E., that has to be hard to have your daughter moving away. The good news is you know she’ll be safe at your sisters. The job situation sounds rough, I hope she can find something in Michigan.

The edits weren’t hard, I just had to keep at it.

Sorry your football is going away soon for the season :-(

Kat, it sounds like you can’t catch a break. Three hours is a bad enough drive for surgery without the problem of bad weather. Then waiting to find out the time make pre-planning even more challenging. But I’m glad you have a friend to care for your kids.

I really hope the surgery goes well. This has to be rough on all of you.

Awww, Bailey Dog! He’s so cute and sweet and ready to play. Congrats on the edits and all the other work you got done, Jen. WTG!!! Let me know what I can do to get the word out on the new releases!

Viki, hope the swelling is down by now! I’m with you on the whole fried thing. Mushy Oreos in dough? Just…no!

B.E., she’ll find a job she likes and she’ll be exposed to the wider world which will be a good thing. And that safety net of your sister is terrific. I might watch the Super Bowl now for not just the commercials since it’s Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh. Having brother coaches is almost as much fun as when the Mannings play against each other.

Kat, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I’ll see if I can’t get my weather witch to whip up a spell for clear weather for you on Tuesday!

I had chapter meeting Saturday but still managed to get some editing done on BRIDE’S MOON. I have hopes of getting it finished in the next day or two and back to my editor for finals.

    Have a great week, witches!

Silver, I’m not getting much done today :-( Stupid insomnia.

Good for you on making your chapter meeting and getting some edits done. Hope you get them finished ASAP!
