Weekend Roundup

Biker Witch and I had a great lunch! We ate this:

Okay we EACH had our own. There, I admitted it.

Sunday I made and ate a bunch of these:

I don’t know why.  I tend to do that when I’m stressed about plotting. When I’m truly upset, I rarely eat.  But plotting stress drives me to bake and eat. Bad bad witch! Especially since I can’t work out much this week.

Otherwise, my weekend was good.  I’m plotting/writing up some stuff for Entangled, plus I ordered post cards for The Plus One Chronicles.

I’m still super jazzed over–wait for it– the AWESOME booktrailer we have for the three books; THE PROPOSITION, POSSESSION and OBSESSION. We’re going to do a big reveal on Valentine’s Day on Carla’s Book Monster blog. Maybe give away a few things. But I gotta tell you all, this book trailer EXCEEDED my expectations. I wrote the script, found the pics, and with the designer’s help, chose the music. Throughout all this, Carla was a huge help too. But the real magic came from Rasit of Rasit Creations  I can’t wait to show you guys this trailer!I think it captures the heart of the series!

I want to quickly add (cuz I know I’m going on and on) that I have an incredible and talented team. Carla (virtual assistant), Trish (cover artist), Sasha Knight (one of the best editors I’ve ever worked with!), my trusted first reader, Marianne Donley, my three friends/colleagues that I rely on —  Laura, Maureen and Kate. Laura in particular knows exactly when to kick my ass and when to hold my hand.  Now I’m adding Rasit, and another designer Ana. Oh and my web designer (she’s working on a new design) Frauke. And this is just some of them.

And every single one of you :-)

Okay moving on,  I know yesterday was the Superbowl–so did your team win? As I write this, Wizard is yelling at his team. He’s going to be a bear to live with if he loses!

How was your weekend?

Oh that looks so yummy :). You and Biker Witch must have had a wonderful time.

I’m a cookie monster too and my eyes are growing big. Guess that means I better bake some cookies this week.

I bet the family has loved you being stressed over plotting if you bake up a storm. They get a really nice benefit from your stress.

I’m very excited about Valentine’s Day. You do have a great team so this is going to be great.

Our weekend was spent snow blowing and shoveling. I also had a contractor out to give me a quote on finally putting a bathroom on the 3rd floor. Its been plumbed since we moved in but we never did it.

Yes, my team won – Bud’s commercial ;).

    Have a great day.

OMG, that sundae looks incredible. And those cookies… Come bake for me. I stress eat, too. (Not super-stress because that much stress makes me nauseous.) I might make no-bakes today. It sounds like you have an awesome team, Jen. I’m so happy for you. And I can’t wait to get my hands on those books of yours. Squee. =o)

I was rooting for the Niners (because none of my favs were in the show and I don’t like the Ravens). I watched the beginning until it looked like the Ravens were gonna whomp the Niners, then I came back toward the end when the Niners came back. The end was heartbreaking. Soooo close. =o(

This weekend I got all my hand-written pages for Sleeping Ugly typed into Word, and then wrote 7 more pages in the notebook last night. I’m calling that a win. Other than that, I just ate. A lot. Super Bowl weekend means junk food. I do not want to even look at the scale today.

Ha! You bake. I clean toilets. Luckily, I don’t plot stress very often. That said, ice cream sundaes and cookies are always a win in my book–despite the guilt of eating them.

I didn’t have a dog in the Super Bowl fight. I just want t a good game (got that!) and the commercials. :D

I did a lot of headesking this weekend. Luckily, it had little to do with my writing–beyond the frustration of not getting to spend time doing it!

Viki, a new bathroom would be great–once you get through the construction. That’s the hard part (and paying for it!)

I’m not baking again until BLB’s birthday :-)

B.E., that is a win in writing! I’m struggling with a proposal right now–ugh. But you’re doing great!

Sorry about the team. I know it was close. You and Wizard both suffered.

Silver, I used to clean when stressed, I’m over that!

Not getting writing time is frustrating too.

Those desserts look amazing!! And now I’m craving chocolate again…

I worked Saturday morning, then came home and did my taxes. I usually get a pretty nice refund, so I try to get them done as soon as I can. Saturday night, I placed an online order to Carabas and went to pick it up. Here’s a pic of what I ordered for dessert :) http://www.carrabbas.com/Content/menu-dessert Sunday, I went out to dinner and a movie with some friends. We saw HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS. It was pretty good, lots of action. I only have one complaint – no butt shot of Jeremy Renner :(

Dawn, I should not have look at that dessert! Now I want it!

Congrats on getting your taxes done, those refunds are always nice.

I was curious if HANSEL AND GRETEL is any good, thanks for sharing. And frankly, that’s a serious complaint :-)
