Weekend Roundup

Sorry this is late, I accidentally scheduled it for the 14th instead of the 4th.

I’m bad. Pizza-and-brownies bad.

Well the pizza was completely Wizard’s fault. But the brownies are mind,  I just had to try a hazelnut mocha brownies. So I worked Sat and half of Sunday then baked. Here’s a crummy picture

Brownie

So I ate pizza, then brownies.  And then suffered massive regret! I need to get rid of the brownies. Or at least no eat anymore.

Otherwise I did a ton of grunt work over the weekend, trying to get as much done as possible. Today, after I go to the gym, I’m writing!

Today I’m at B.E.’s blog The Unpublished Writer  Come by and say hi! You don’t have to read the whole blog :-) We just want to support B.E.! And for the blog tour, I should be at UNITED BY BOOKS.

So how was your weekend?

Wow, for once my being late isn’t a big deal! I’ve already been over to B.E.’s, that brownie is a killer, and I really need to get off my arse and get errands run so I can come home and get to writing too!

    Happy Monday, witches!

Kat, it’s Monday, we’re all fighting an uphill battle :-) But glad you didn’t miss the brownie.

Silver, I’m reading BRIDE’S MOON! Just about half way through it and really enjoying it!

Hope you had a good birthday this weekend!

Hi Jenn – When I was on at 3 this morning and the post wasn’t up I figured you were finally getting some rest. Well, at least you got pizza and brownies. Two of my favorite things.

We went to The Melting Pot and had a great time but after all that “rich” food they begged me not to make Kat’s pie Sunday. I still plan on making it some time soon ;).

I hope you have a great day!

That brownie looks and sounds amazing. And if any of you come by the blog, you better read the whole post. Jen is a wise woman. =o)

The weekend here was weird. I fell asleep on the couch and was sure the Kid walked by. I keep almost calling her for dinner or knocking on her door to wish her good night. Other than that, though, I did get about 1600 words out, so there’s that. Jet lag is finally going away and I’m getting back to work!

Those brownies look amazing! And now I want a brownie :( I agree with Viki; pizza and brownies are two of my favorite things.

I had a pretty busy weekend. After work on Friday, I went over to a friend’s house. We ordered pizza and then went to see Bob Seger in concert. It was a great show and we had really good seats. We also ran into someone we both know. Saturday, I went shopping for a couple of hours, then had dinner with some friends and then came home and cleaned and did laundry. Then Sunday, I went to lunch with a friend before meeting up with another friend to see SNITCH.

    Happy Monday, witches!

Viki, that’s funny on the lemon-cheesecake pie! It’s pretty rich so I don’t blame you’re family at all. I saw that tweet from The Melting Pot, it made me smile.

I actually slept like the dead last night (first time in two weeks–so happy!), so you weren’t entirely wrong. But I also just set the wrong date on the schedule calendar for the blog.

B.E., aww so nice of you to say! But I can be long winded at time. And pretty plain spoken :-)

You miss your daughter! But it gets better. I did the same thing as my kids moved out. And I still wake out of a dead sleep thinking one of them called out, “Mom.” That is always weird.

I hate jet lag! Glad you’re recovering and writing!

Dawn, you did all that in one weekend? I’m tired reading it! So Bob Seger was good? I like him but haven’t ever seen him in concert.

Those brownies are deadly. I ate one and a half after lunch today because I suck and have zero will power. Sigh.

Jen, I made brownies a couple of weeks ago. I found a Ghirardelli cookbook and now have a new favorite recipe. These brownies are beyond fudgy. One of my friends told me she felt like she needed to go to confession after eating one :) You can find the recipe here:

Just in case you’re interested
