The Baby Bargain Released!

First THE BABY BARGAIN written Jennifer Apodaca is here! All pretty and released! More on that in a minute

I had a great time at the meeting on Saturday. Doing Ask An Author is always fun, I always love chatting about writing and reading :-) Kate (Carlisle) and I went to lunch and tried to get all caught up. Why is it we just don’t see our friends enough?

And speaking of friends, a huge shout to Susan Mallery  for giving me the cover quote for THE BABY BARGAIN! We were all hanging out at RWA Conference this summer and she offered to do it. I was stunned and very grateful. Susan is like that though, very generous to everyone around her. She truly tires to help other writers succeed. Here is the cover with Susan’s quote:

These should be the buy links Amazon KindlesB&N NOOK

And the blurb:

Seeing Adam Waters is the last thing veterinarian Megan Young expects. Ex-Marine. Ex-boyfriend. And still extremely dangerous territory. But Adam doesn’t know the secret Megan has been keeping from him. The secret that was created three years ago, after their last night together…

Adam returns to Raven’s Cove to sell his home in a final break with the town and memories that haunt him. The problem is that his attraction to Megan is as blazing hot as it ever was. But when a vicious smear campaign against Megan turns ugly, Adam learns the truth he never knew—he has a son. Now the only way Megan can protect her child is to strike a bargain with Adam.

And it’s a bargain that looks a lot like blackmail…

So how was your weekend?

Congratulations Jenn! Amazon just now delivered THE BABY BARGAIN! I have to finish my current read but will be reading it soon.

I’m glad you had a nice weekend. It sound like the meeting was fun. I agree with not seeing friends often enough. It’s worth setting up set dates just to keep in contact.

Bon Jovi was amazing as always. I’ve been a fan since Runaway (which they did Sat). Had to think it’s been over 26 yrs – wow! They live streamed the show around the world. My girlfriend is English so when we got back to our room she checked out her friends and family post and they all loved the stream. Even her sis-in-law in OZ watched ;). They played for over 2 hr 45 mins. A fantastic night. Needless to say i dragged Sunday ;).

    Have a great day :).

Ooo, The Baby Bargain sounds awesome. It’s on my wishlist and as soon as I shuffle some fundage into my book account, I’ll be picking it up. Squee. =o)

After a disappointing Friday, I spent the weekend alternating between reading and surfing the web. I never did get any writing done. Meant to, really I did, but I got sucked into the latest book in Rob Thurman’s Cal Leandros series – Slashback – and couldn’t put it down long enough to focus on my own stories.

Yayayay, Jen! Got my copy this morning. :) Meeting up with good friend who also happen to be writing buddies–even if you don’t talk about writing–is always a good thing! I love Kate. I’m sure you two had a blast!!

Viki, so glad you had a great time at the concert!

B.E., I keep meaning to read Rob Thurman. Must add her to my list!

I read way too late too many times, fought off my cold, and finally did the photo shoot with The Only. We had a great time. I’ve got to get busy this week and get some serious writing done and plan a worldbuilding class for my RWA chapter meeting on Saturday. And I have to read THE BABY BARGAIN! Like…tonight.

Yea another book for the wish list.

Viki glad the concert was all it could be.

BE you were writting in your sub conscience and didn’t even know it yet. That is how all my great ideas work.

Cool new pictures of Silver. I will pop over to your blog and expect to see them there.

Me- A Last I caught a fever and did not get to reading this weekend. The only good thing is that it was Spring Fever and now I have a re-organized pantry/laundry room and have rearranged and organized the bed room.

Viki, AWESOME on your Bon Jovi concert experience! I’ve heard he has amazing concerts. So happy you had a blast with your UK Friend!

You’re right about making dates with friends. I need to do that with another friend this week for sure!

B.E., I’ve done that! many times! Way too easy to get sucked into someone else’s writing, isn’t it? But reading is important for writing so let yourself off the hook!

Thanks for the support on THE BABY BARGAIN but please don’t feel obligated. We can’t buy and read everything our friends write! It’s just impossible.

Silver, I was thinking about you this weekend and hoping you’re feeling better.

Awesome on the photo shoot! And you’re doing a worldbuilding class? Cool! I have my outline on the worldbuilding class I gave somewhere. Let me know if yo’d like to see it.

Kat, you had me worried for a sec! Glad it was spring fever! You got a lot done, and that always feels great.

You can get some serious reading in next weekend. The books are always there waiting for us :-)

Woooww.. I really need to pop by more often. Maybe if I would ever feel like getting on my computer after all the chicken-without-a-head running about, I would. Ugh. Hate that.

Can’t wait to read this! Sounds interesting! Now if only I could write more of my books… Tsk tsk, writer’s block at its finest. Well, at least they’re not a single one is published or I’d feel extremely bad.

Hi Stephanie, keep trying and you’ll get through the writer’s block.

I’m ready to escaped from my computer :-)
