Very quickly, my thoughts are with all those affected by the tragedy in Boston.  I’m sure we all carry sadness and anger this week.  And now we’ll move on.

So…BLB (my youngest son) was right. A couple weeks ago, we were texting and I said, “My book is due on 4/15, I’m not going to make it.”

BLB texted right back, “Yes you will. You just need MORE COFFEE!!”

And…I made it. I’m not saying the book is good, in fact I’m playing the game, Can This Book Be Saved in my head, but I got it in. Which means BLB was right :-) And I’ll know when I see the revision letter if the book is salvageable.

In the meantime, my Entangled editor and I were talking about the possibility of my getting in the second book early.  I will do it if that’s what they want, though I may have to shift around my last book in The Plus One Chronicles. It will all work out as long as I drink enough coffee, according to BLB.

Right now, I’ve been trying to catch up on 100s of emails, promo, etc. And BTW I accidentally deleted a chunk of emails so if I haven’t replied to you, resend.

So we’re not getting the mirrors we ordered installed until Friday. I promise I’ll get pictures after that.

Today I’m hoping to see Biker Witch! I’m not even sure if she still claiming me as her sister. I’ll probably have to grovel and buy her coffee to get back in her good graces.

Now let’s move onto Wednesday Worthy! I just bought a new pick of a very familiar candidate:

What do you think? Is he worthy?

BLB is So smart. Did he go the extra mile and get you the coffee IV drip ;)?

You being the writing artist are going to look at your work differently than the rest of us. So, I’m figuring the book is fine and will require a few tweaks here and there but nothing major.

I hope you get in some good relaxing sister time with Biker Witch today. Coffee is always a good way to go :).

Yes, he is worthy today in my opinion.

Have a good day and tons of fun!

BLB’s right. All you need is enough coffee. Coffee makes everything better. And the book is probably better than you think it is. =o)

Now take a break. Chill with Biker Witch. Read a book. Watch some silly movie or something. Recharge.

There’s something about today’s candidate that’s throwing me off. I’ll give him a pass, because it’s probably just me, but I’m watching him. ;o)

Yes on the canidate and yes on more coffee. I am a tea drinker but for the past week I have been surviving on a Vanilla Chi Capachino. What ever it takes to get the job done.

Viki is right about your writing Jen. the old saying is “You are your own worst critic.”

BE How is the new house and neighborhood going?

Silver have you kicked that illness that has been bringing you down yet?

Hi Kat. Everything is lovely here. The neighbors are few, and the ones we’re met seem nice enough. The birds are amazing. Plus we have deer grazing in our yard most mornings. Thanks for asking. =o)

*wipes drool from chin* Jen, you know I love this guy! I must go looking for new pictures of him! Congrats on getting the book done and on time! Despite your fears, your books always turn out better than you think they are. Trust me. And BLB. :) Coffee makes the world go round and a bit of grovelling with Biker Witch is good for the soul. And more coffee!

Kat, thanks for asking. I’m still croupy but my energy levels are up which is good!

Oh, and Jen, I hadn’t replied to our last email so I’ll be in touch in a day or two. Nothing really *new* to report but I now have a “deadline” of sorts. ;)

Viki, we shall see when I get the first round notes back from the editor. I agree that I’m too close to it, but still worried. Although I’m anxious to get started on the next one.

BLB should have come home and brought me a Starbucks. I’ll mention that to him!

    Glad you like the guy.

B.E. LOL!! You’re watching him–that cracked me up. I’m picture you giving him the “I’m watching you.” With the two finger eye point thingie!!

BLB has become obsessed with coffee. I know this because his brother tells me. He grinds his own now, etc. I think he should come over and grind mine! But he was right and I’ll tell him when I see him this weekend.

Hope you’re getting settled in! It’s a process, isn’t it?

Kat, tea is better for you! My oldest son loves tea. He’d probably like that vanilla chi one!

Silver I knew you’d like him! So true on coffee!

Not convinced on the book but worry is normal for me.

    Glad you’re feeling better!

BLB is so right, coffee is the answer. Being as you are the one righting things are bound to look different, that saying “you are your own worst critic is right, but I can say that is it’s by you it’s going to be good  . On another note, this guy sooooo works. He looks like he could hold his own against the guys, and to be honest he is drool worthy :). Take a deep breath and don’t worry too much, just talk to BLB or Biker Witch if you feel you aren’t going to make it.

Amanda, thank you so much! Such sweet encouraging words! I am a total worrier, I know that. But I worry because I love my readers and don’t want to let them down :-) I also don’t want to let the characters down who are trusting me with their story.

Hope you’re having a great week!
