Wednesday Worthy

Wizard has been off work until today, so we’ve been talking non-stop about the wedding. Wizard’s having a great time teasing me about hurting myself dancing.  First off, it’s amazing that I got out there and danced since I can’t dance. At all.

As in I have zero rhythm.

Anyone ever seen that old Seinfeld episode where Elaine dances? That’s me. Totally. I know it and I didn’t care, I was out there dancing.

But I was having so much fun with my nieces, my two other sons’ girlfriends and one other friend of the family girl, I just didn’t know when to quit. Evidently my Achilles tendon or something in that general vicinity did.  All I can say is that I got off LUCKY. It’s healing exactly like a pulled muscle so all seems to be well.  (No I didn’t go to emergency. Wizard wanted to take me, but I was fairly sure it was just a pull/sprain).

In book news, I’m working! I should be sending Obsession to the editor next week and will dive into book two in my Once A Marine series. I’ll be doing a little juggling of revisions during that time too, but I’m not going to think about it.

Here is our the hunk candidate for today. I had him on my FB page last week but I cropped him up  a little for the blog.

So what do you think?

I’m Elaine too ;). It’s always been a joke around here how I could give her a run for her money on the dance floor. But as long as we’re having fun who cares. Other people really don’t watch us, they’re into their own stuff.

So it was the tendon – yikes! Glad you stopped before it got even worse and Wizard insisted on the ER. Have you been soaking in epsom salt? That stuff is amazing. We use it as a cure all for my 21 yr old.

Yippie on the book front. I can’t wait!

As for our candidate, he’s a bit young but I DO like him. So he goes into my “in training” category.

I’m taking my baby to the insurance adjuster today :(.

    You have a great day!

LOL, I can’t even fake dancing like Elaine. I tried once and hurt myself. No wonder you pulled something. I say as long as you’re having fun and you aren’t hurting anyone, dance however you like.

Woohoo for getting Obsession off the editor and Yay for getting back on the Once a Marine series.

This one’s not doing it for me today. Maybe I’m tainted because I started liking Hugh Jackman’s FB page and he keeps posting pics. ;o)

Dance isn’t that a four letter word? Well it should be.

Thanks for the Hunk. It is raining here today so I was a bit damp around the edges from walking into the office from the parking lot till I saw him. He is hot enough to make steam rise off me. Wahoo

When can we begin the countdown to Obsession? I want to see Slone’s shorts get shorter by the day.

I used to go out dancing every weekend with my roomy back in college – we’d stay out ’till the bar closed at 4:00 and drink only water ’cause we were there to dance not get sloppy drunk. (we’d make fun of everyone else that did ;) ) I have NO idea what I’d look like out on a dance floor now so I’m not even gonna go there – kudos to you Jen for not caring, for wanting to have fun and getting out on the floor !!! Sorry about your tendon though, ouchies.

As for your candidate – his body is DEFINITELY worthy but there’s something about his face that is bugging me – I think it’s his eyes, if I cover them he’s better. Ya know, sometimes I feel so bad judging these guys and being so picky about what I like …

Uhm….*looks shifty-eyed* I was a dancer so I’ll just keep my head down. That said, I truly believe that if you have fun, you should dance like no one is looking. Often! So glad it was just a tweak of the Achilles it could have been a Very Bad Thing! Just take care of yourself, Jen!!!!

Yay on the writing. I’m in edit/revision mode but that’s good. It mean books coming out soon. :D

As for the candidate. He’s a cutie but young. He can come play but I’ll let the younger witches have him. I’ll just make cookies. ;) Happy Wednesday, witches!

Viki, hope all goes well with your car at the insurance adjuster.

I’m the same way–dance and have fun who cares what other’s think :-)

I didn’t go to the ER, but I think it’ll heal. We’ll see. I’ve been using ice, anti-inflamatories and a little heat but haven’t done epsom salts. I probably should have gone but I just didn’t want to :-(

B.E., you’re a bad influence, I headed over and liked HJ’s page since you mentioned it!

There’s a lot of us “Elaines” here!

Kat, I take it you’re not a fan of dancing!

Ha! I forgot about the countdown shorts. Wish I could do that, so funny.

I’m not positive I can get everything lined up to get Obsession up by 9/24 but that’s the target date. We’ll see.

Glad the hunk worked for you!

Ban, you must have loved to dance to do it until 4am! Impressive!

I was having so much fun dancing with “my girls” I just didn’t care how I looked. Life’s too short. (I also had fun dancing with Wizard)

LOL on covering the guy’s eyes. I like his eyes but there is shadowing across his face so maybe that’s throwing it off.

Silver, I won’t hate you for being able to dance :-)

    Great news on your book!

I *know* the Achilles didn’t tear significantly or I’d be in agony, and I can flex and rotate my foot now. I’m just hoping it doesn’t take forever to heal.

Crap now I’m thinking about cookies, and that’s not good.
