Happy Friday!

Okay, so I’ve been sort of lying.  Remember when I said Wizard wanted me to go stay at the hotel last weekend? I wasn’t lying about that exactly. He did want me to go. But Wizard was gone too. He’s been in the UK for a week on business, and that’s why he wanted me to go. He likes me to get out of the house when he’s gone.  But he finally FINALLY got home yesterday afternoon. I actually missed him. A lot :-)

So that was my small lie. It’s a habit I developed when the kids were small and Wizard traveled more often–we keep it quiet when he’s traveling.

You’d think I’d have gotten a lot of writing done. But this book wasn’t working so I had to replot and work on character motivation. I am making progress though,  it’s just not enough.

Oh and I saw my RA doc yesterday.  He got the full story of how I mildly tore my Achilles. Actually he called it a “small rupture” which sounds much worse than it was.  It’s healing fine, although he can still see evidence of it. Here’s the part that made me laugh. He said “Most people tear their Achilles playing tennis or something more strenuous than dancing. But the way you described your dancing…yeah I can see it.”  OMG I busted up laughing. Then he asked me if it was worth it. “Yep, totally. I’d do it again.”

There’s really nothing exciting going on this weekend for us.  How about you?

You are so funny! One of your blog tour posts mentioned Wizard being in the UK. I get what you mean about missing them when they’re gone. Mine just got home but I haven’t seen him yet.

Well at least you had plans to get tons of writing done :).

My kitty is more work than a baby ;). He’s so cute but into everything. It’s so funny watching him play like crazy and then just crash.

I’ll be re-arranging furniture today and then I think I’ll crash for the weekend, just spend it with the kitten ;).

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Viki kittens are so entertaining. I could use a bit of Fuzz Therapy myself this weekend. Hopefully after doing some cleaning I will get to curl up with a book and my cats. Sometimes they don’t want me to read and stick their head in my book, paw at the pages or start chewing on the corners. Cats never grow up they just become larger kittens.

Jen good to hear Wizard made it back. Your writing should start to flow better with him around to pick at you and tease you into the right frame of mind.

My parent’s visit on wed went well. It is just that they look at my life and see everything that I don’t have and they are “sorry” for all the “bad things going on”. While I look at my Kids and my work and my home and feel very proud of what I done and really blessed by what I have.

They look at my glass half full life and I make plans to take the glass out in the next rain storm and fill it up. Different ways of thinking and living.

I totally get it. I don’t mention online when we’re going to be out of the house – even for a day. You just never know.

Your RA doc sounds like a hoot. Doctor stuff is so much better when the doc is someone you can joke with. =o)

Today I’m finishing up yesterday’s cleaning project (I cleaned under the deck outside) and I have to run up to the store. Other than that, I’ve got nothing scheduled. And Hubs told me to take it easy so I might just take him up on that.

I’m headed to Vegas in a couple of hours. Lawyer Guy and the Very Large Guard Dogs will be here. And he’s armed. Just in case, you know, some nefarious person thought to take advantage of my absence. ;)

As for writing, I woke up in the middle of the night realizing the motivational character in the WIP was murdered in book 2. Duh! *headdeskdheaddeskheaddesk*

I’ve since figured out another character and plot so hope it works better. I doubt I get much work done this weekend but I’m going to try on the plane.

Have a great weekend, everyone! I’ll be at Hot Mojave Knights Reader Event, trusting in armed/dangerous husband and large dogs (plus the attack cat) to keep the home fires burning and safe! See y’all on Monday!

    That is funny :D

I’ve got full weekend, kids dentist (my husband is taking them, I don’t go NEAR a dentist unless I absolutely HAVE to), early trick or treating at the outlet stores ’cause we don’t go around this neighborhood, a 6yr old B-Day party, church and then laundry all day over my mom’s. We are getting low on sock and undies ;)

Glad you have wizard back, I don’t like staying home alone either … the two of you should do something spontaneous together :D

Viki, I know, I screwed up on that interview–I thought it would go up after Wizard was home :-)

Your kitten sounds adorable and fun! He’s a curious little guy.

    Have a good weekend!

Kat, I’m proud of you for surviving! And you do have a lot to be happy for. I’m the same way. I prefer life simple anyway :-)

Love the kitty stories! I can see the cat pawing the book so you’ll pay attention to him!

    Have a great weekend!

B.E., do you ever take it easy? It sounds like you’ve been working hard getting your home into shape!

My doctor is a workaholic perfectionist (he calls me a Type A workaholic and I’m not. I think I’m lazy, but whatever) and I appreciate everything he’s done for me.

Relax this weekend! You deserve it!

Silver, I didn’t have any nefarious plans! Really! Besides if I broke into your house it would just be to play with your critters and give them treats :-)

Have a great and productive time in Vegas!

Ban, you are busy this weekend! That’s right you have the fear of the dentist. Glad your hubby is taking the kids for you.

Hope you get some downtime for your weekend!
