I’m so sorry for not answering on Friday–I’m stretched a little thin struggling to make this book come together. I’m pretty much ripping apart scenes rewriting and trying to get to The End.
So Saturday Wizard comes in the house and says, “Is the water in the tea kettle still hot?
“No, I made my tea a long time ago.”
There was dead silence in the kitchen and I kept working. Finally I hear, “Um Witch, how long has this tea bag been steeping?”
Totally confused, I said, “What tea bag? I drank mine a long time ago.” I’m sure I did, right? So I got up and walked into the kitchen and there it was–my stone cold tea with the tea bag still in it.
That’s pretty much what my weekend was like. I’m not working out (Bad Witch!), just working with desperate fever as this book went totally off the rails at some point and I’m trying to lasso it back into something workable. I’m also trying to clean the house and making my shopping list for T-Day. Wizard is helping out everywhere he can.
That was one of MANY incidents this weekend. So today, Wizard is off work but he headed out to a car show with Middle Son. I was invited but can’t go because The Freaking Book.
So how was your weekend?
P.S. to B.E., to answer your question from Friday, so far the boxed set will only be available as an electronic book. I plan to get it into print, but I never seem to find the time to tackle it.

Oh you poor frazzled witch. I feel for you but also smile at the tea incident. Just goes to show how into your work you are. It’s nice that Wizard is there to bring you back.
That aside, I’m sure that you will be pulling to book back on the track you have set. The stress of writing would do me in. I am very thankful for all you authors and the pains you go through for my reading enjoyment.
My weekend went okay. Minor flare ups here and there but nothing major. I’m still trying to pull all the stuff together for Thurs and Fri.
Next step – the dreaded Christmas shopping – oh boy!

Heh. I’ve put a cup in the microwave to make instant coffee and then found it there the next day. Stuff happens. You’ll get this done and then de-frazzle. Good thing you have Wizard helping you with TGD.

The weekend here was writing, football, reading and critter watching. I went shopping yesterday and picked up the stuff for TGD. Plus, I bought a new xmas tree (because we didn’t move our old one) so I’ll have it to decorate Friday.

Deep breaths. This too shall pass. Sort of like a kidney stone, but think how much better you’ll feel when you type The End. Figuratively, anyway.
Writer’s brain is an affliction many of us deal with. Like BE, I’ve left cups in the microwave. I’ve also set them down, wandered off to do something else, and not found them for a couple of days. Not good when there’s soy milk in them. (Was really bad back when I still drank milk in my coffee :lol:)
Hang in there and if you need to disappear this week, we’ll all be here next week when you get back!
