Happy Friday!

My internet has been hit and miss which is why I didn’t answer on Wednesday–Sorry!  But I did read the comments, it was just answering them that was giving my problems.

Last night, we FINALLY ordered our computer and monitor. Fortunately Verizon (my service provider) cooperated and we found what we needed. That’s a relief! Now I really hope this Internet issue resolves itself soon. Wizard is having trouble at work too so I know it’s not just me.

So when I saw my doctor on Wednesday I discovered that while my ankle showed no RA (very good news that means we don’t have to worry about joint destruction) it showed a host of other possible issues.  (You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, it’s crazy)  Which means I didn’t get to say “I told you” so to my doctor.  Instead, we had this long, boring discussion about what to do next. But the upside is that I can ignore it for a while if I’m so inclined.

Wizard however his not on board with that plan, but I’m ignoring him too :-)

Moving on, can you believe it’s Friday? What happened to Monday? This week is a blur! This weekend I’m working, and Wizard and I  might go do something fun, and I should write up the workshop blurb for my RWA Chapter that I said I’d get done like two weeks ago.

What are your weekend plans?

When the internet goes in and out it drives me nuts. I feel so bad for you. Since Wizard is having problems to it doesn’t sound like a provider issue. Often I think the weather screws with it – blame the weather for everything ;).

Oh crud about your ankle. Ignoring things may not be the way to go but understandable. We all do it. It’s only been a few days since you and the doc talked so you just need time to mull it over.

Don’t work too hard and do go have some fun with Wizard.

Right now I have no plans for the weekend.

Have a really good weekend :).

Ugh. We’ve had internet issues a couple times since we moved here. Arguing with customer service is never fun. It would go smoother if they’d just listen to me. ;o) Last time, I got bounced all over CenturyLink until I finally got lucky and reached a CSA who knew what she was doing. She fiddled with something on her end and VOILA! no more problems. Keep on ’em, Jen.

Yay for ordering the new computer! I know that’s been weighing on you. As for your ankle, ignoring is good. I have no idea where the week went. I can’t believe it’s Friday. Bleh.

I lazed out last night, so today and the rest of the weekend is for work. And reading. Can’t not read. And football, naturally. Whatever else happens happens.

I will be doing anything warm and away from home. The kids have been out of school all week and I have not be able to get my husband out. So things are tense/cabin feverish at my house. The sad thing is that I am the one that could happily hibernate at home with a pile of books and hot tea, but I am the one to get out and bring home the bacon. Maybe I can find some place to send them all to and then have the house to myself. I can always hope.

Have a warm and safe weekend everyone.

Erg on internet issues. We have them frequently here. I blame it on living in a rural area. :P And weather. haha

So sorry about the ankle. I know you will make whatever decision is best for you. And so great you ordered your new shiny! Love new shinies!!

Not a lot this weekend. Going to look at new phones. Hubster is not happy that the NASCAR app won’t work on his phone anymore. And not happy is probably and understatement. haha Funny thing is, our phones are not even that old! I think they do it for more money. pft!

Good news on the ankle not being RA but bad that’s there’s other stuff going on. Whatever you do, just be careful of it. Yay on the computer. Want to share what you finally decided on?

Lawyer Guy has been fighting the flue (and losing) for two weeks now. I thought I’d dodged the bullet until last night when I got the scratchy throat and croupy cough. I’m hoping to stave off a full-blown battle by staying in bed most of the weekend. I have to get out today to take Only to her eye surgeon for a follow-up. Baseball Boy is working.

    Everyone stay warm this weekend!

Viki, at least I have my phone! The internet seems better today so far, so fingers crossed. It’s a small thing in the bigger scheme of life :-)

I’m not particularly worried about my ankle but I’ll deal weth it if it doesn’t keep improving.

I hope the weekend surprised you with great things!

B.E., it’s better today. Verizon has trained me NOT to call…I always end up in India, which I’m sure would be lovely if I was on vacation, but not so much when I’m looking for solutions to my Internet problems :-)

I’m happy to have the computer ordered! I need a new laptop too, but no hurry on that. And I’m just buying that off the shelf.

I need to be like you and read more! I love to read, but I’m always distracted by work that needs to be done. You’re right though, we must read!

Kat, wouldn’t it be awesome if hubby and the kids went to camp for a week? And you could stay home? It’s the perfect vacation sometimes :-)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Ashlynn, Internet issues are frustrating, but it’s been working well for months and months so this little glitch probably isn’t worth complaining about. It sounds like you have it more often.

My ankle was a little shocking to hear it all, now I’m fine. Just needed to process in the info, I guess.

I’ll be excited once I have the computer up and running and all my files transferred!

Uh oh on your hubby’s NASCAR app! I’m pretty sure you really understated his frustration. Wizard is a NASCAR fan so you have my sympathies!

Silver, oh no! You can’t get sick too! That flu is awful. I feel really bad for you and for your poor hubster who must feel like he’s been sick forever by now. Hope a weekend of bed rest helps.

The biggest issue in the computer was getting Windows 7 profession in a computer with a fast enough processor. We finally found it at Dell. I wanted to get an Asus one we liked, but it was out of stock. Then we found a 23 inch monitor (my one splurge) with speakers. It should all work…hopefully. I know people love Mac’s but I’m used to PCs so I’m sticking with that. And FYI I compromised slightly on the processor but it should be fast enough.

Hope you feel better and Only’s eye appt goes well!
