Happy Friday!

I don’t know how we can be at Friday again!  The last week was a blur. We had the funeral for Wizard’s aunt yesterday which was both wonderful and exhausting. You all know how it goes–so great to see relatives and loved ones and to celebrate a life-well-lived of someone we all love, but sad and tiring too.

In good news, there’s a good chance that after four long weeks of fighting and struggling I will actually get my medication today. I’m happy about that.

I’m back at work today as well. This poor book–life has been interrupting with alarming regularity.  And the book has been a struggle, a lot like SINFUL MAGIC (book 4 in the Wing Slayer Series) was.  And yet these two characters are digging hard in my subconscious, trying to tell me to get out of their way and let them tell their story. I’m getting closer every day–I just hope I get it right.  Trying to pack this story into a shorter (category) length is a challenge.

So I haven’t asked this in a while–what are you all reading? I just finished ROCKED by Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn. It was interesting, good to read at 2am when I had insomnia, but not totally compelling for me.

I can understand the funeral being uplifting and exhausting. Celebrating a good life and seeing people you haven’t seen in a while is nice. Strange how a sad event brings out joy too.

YES! You’re getting your medication. It’s about time. Insurance is just SO annoying.

Now that things on the home front are stabilizing you should be able to get the book flowing. I remember how Sloane used to nag at you too and he turned out wonderful. I see good things ahead :).

I’m finally reading Kresley Cole’s PRINCE OF SHADOW. It’s good :).

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Yea we all have the relatives that we only see at weddings or funerals. What ever reason it is good to see them.

Yea on medicine. Thankfully we will be connected with a case manager for the Dialysis process and they will be able to handle the paperwork end of things. I will have my hands full with all the other processes involved.

This weekend I am really trying to get the house and yard under control. With all the rain it is a jungle outside. I also hope to read the next book in Sheri Kenyon’s Dark Hunter Series.

Maybe I will take hubs to the farmer’s market on Sunday if he feels that he can do the walking.

I know! And how did it get to be the end of May already!? Sheesh. I’m glad the funeral went as well as those things can go for you. Yay for finally getting your meds! You’ll get the book – if it’s half as awesome as Sinful Magic, it’ll sell like hotcakes.

I just finished Poison Me by Cami Checketts. I gave it 4 stars. It was good but confusing. Like the author threw too much stuff in there and couldn’t quite decide how to wrap it all together. Maybe that’s just her writing style. I also read Allison and Laura’s Crash and Burn. That was wicked awesome. And I also read Bewitched, Bothered and Biscotti by Bailey Cates. A must read for the witches here, I think. It’s the 2nd book in a series about a witch who runs a bakery and keeps getting in the middle of murder investigations. (It’s not her fault she keeps finding bodies!) And at the end, there are recipes! I think I gained 5 pounds just reading it. =o)

Yay on meds! That will help ease some of your stress. Funerals are always a conundrum for me and very much a relief when they are done.

Definitely get out of the characters’ way. They know what they’re doing so let them. ;)

Reading? Just finished Jo Goodman’s THE LAST RENEGADE and will start her TRUE TO THE LAW tonight. I’ve just discovered her historical western romances and love her voice.

And I’ve too long ignored the voices in my own head. I need to get back to work. :( Have a great weekend, witches!

Viki, I always dread funerals but am glad afterward that I went. They are emotionally cathartic.

I’ll be very happy *if* the meds show up. I’m truly stunned at what has happened over the last four weeks, well actually since January. But then after seeing what’s been going on at the VA hospital, maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised.

Oh I haven’t read one of Kresley’s book in a while, I need to check that out!

Kat, I hope the case manager is helpful!

Hope you have a great weekend getting the house under control, reading and myabe going to the Farmer’s Market.

    B.E., I don’t know on this book…so I’ll shut up about it :-)

The witch in the bakery sounds cute. I just looked it up–am debating if I want to buy it right now (I have the tab open and ready to one-click). Thanks for the rec!

Silver, ignoring the voices in our head only makes them grow louder. You’d better get to work! :-)
