Wednesday…what?

Crazy! I can’t catch my breath! I’m so frazzled, Biker Witch (my sister) sent me this picture:

Not without my coffee

Yep that looks like me! Thanks Biker Witch.

Now turning turning serious, the reader response to HER TEMPORARY HERO has been amazing and and I’m touched. Logan is very special to me. When I was little,  my dad would have occasional insomnia. It wasn’t until after he passed away that I learn his insomnia stemmed for a little bit of what we’d now call PTSD. My father was a fighter pilot in WWII and even in his later years, some of those memories haunted him.  That has stuck with me for years, so writing Logan Knight who is also dealing with PTSD was very important to me.  These men and women are not only heroic in serving our country, but in coming home and finding a way to live with their memories and experiences.  What I love about Logan is that he faces his PTSD and he’s trying to help others dealing with it as well.

So seeing readers respond to Logan (and to Becky too) means so much to me. I feel like I might have shown the struggle just a little bit. I’ll stop yammering on about it now!

I wanted to let you all know that today, Wednesday July 16ht from 12 to 4 pm EST is the FB Party celebrating the release of HER TEMPORARY HERO with guest authors, fun and prizes. The authors attending are Laura Wright, Avery Flynn, Maureen Child, Vanessa Kelly/V.K. Sykes, Rebecca Zanetti , Kate Carlisle, Katie Reus and Juliana Stone. If you’d like to attend, here’s the link https://www.facebook.com/events/329075003915781/

And lastly I couldn’t find a picture that looked enough like Logan and was sexy. However there’s a scene in the beginning of the book with Logan in a towel, so I pulled this one out:

So is he worthy?

Biker Witch sent a great photo :). I love it! It’s so hard to even imagine how excited and you frazzled you are right now. It’s all kind of cool. I know you’re going to have a great party today!

It’s so nice of you to share a little bit of what went into your characters and how they relate to you personally. It makes them even more real if you know what I mean.

The towel is nice ;). I’ll be in and out but I’ll see you later today :).

Sorry you’re frazzled, hon. I know how that goes. :hugs: Great pic from Biker Witch to go with it, though. =o)

Okay, I haven’t started HTH yet. I had hoped to have it finished before the party, but I’ve been kinda up to my armpits the past couple days. I’ll still be stopping by the party, though. I think I might need a day off after weed killing the driveway and then laying pea gravel all over it yesterday. Ugh.

I think I gave this guy guff the last time he was here, but today I might have to reverse my decision. Women’s prerogative and all that. LOL

Oh, hellayeah! That’s Logan! And that scene was AWESOME! Yes. I read the book last night. I couldn’t NOT read it. You nailed it, sweetpea. The PTSD–for both of them–was handled realistically. Yes, “civilians” get PTSD too and Becky is a prime example. Logan’s character arc is amazing and Becky is the perfect heroine for him. Yes. I’ll be posting my review shortly.

Love the book, the characters, and the author! <3

Hey with everything going on in my life right now, I am really drawn to the books that show the struggles in life and the happiness in the end. I believe the inspiration the stories give. I also enjoy reading about the struggle of the writers that bring to life the characters of fiction that mirror the real life battles and bring to light the hope for others to see.

    So Jen Keep Writing them.

Hi, witches! I’ve missed you all. Hope everyone’s having a terrific summer.

Jen, sorry you’re so frazzled. I hope things calm down a bit for you. Love the pic from Biker Witch.

I finished HTH last night. Loved. It!! My only complaint: I wanted more! More Logan, more Becky, more story. And once again, one of your books kept me up past my bedtime. Totally worth it, though :D

He’s definitely worthy! YUM!! I wanna take him home with me :)

    Happy Hump Day!

Viki, that party was wild! I don’t know how Carla does it. Plus we’re textiing back and forth–C-R-A-Z-Y!! Thank you for coming by. I had fun and hope you did too.

I like sharing the motivation behind my books, but I also don’t want to bore you all :-)

Hope you have/had a great day!

B.E. Biker Witch cracks me up. And um, she really KNOWS me! Frazzled is just part of the deal. Since you have insomnia, you know how it likes to kick in at the worst times.

I saw you at the party (Right??) so thank you! Hope you’re resting up now. All your physical labor makes me tired :-)

Don’t even worry about not reading the book We all have lives!

Silver THANK YOU!!! Since I know you deal with some PTSD, that means a great deal. And I saw your review, I appreciate it so very much. And yeah, Becky has it too. Hers is filtered differently as she was a child. But enough of that, just THANK YOU!

That FB party totally wiped me out!

Kat thank you! I love hearing that from a reader’s perspective.

I hope you’re managing okay. You are dealing with a lot these days.

Dawn, we have missed you!! I think of you often. And thank you so much on HTH! Your complaint cracks me up as we had to cut 7K words to make it fit the “line guidelines.” So funny! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the book!

Hope you get more sleep tonight!

Of course I bought it, and already read it. :) The pic of him in the towel is perfecto! And I agree with Dawn, I wanted more. :P But I can’t say much since I’m currently trying to write a very short story, which I usually hate, but I just want to write, so there is that.

Anywho, good work once again on an awesome story!

Hi there, Ashlynn! Thank you! I really appreciate that!

Short stories are tough, aren’t they? Good luck!
