Weekend Roundup

Pretty good weekend. I wish I was getting more done on Linc’s book, but I need to set it aside to revise EXPOSING THE HEIRESS. That should be done in two weeks, then I’ll go back to Linc. I’m looking forward to revising Hunt and Alyssa’s book since it’s probably one of the easiest revisions I’ve ever had :-) There’s just one plot point I need to think of then I can dig in.

The most exciting part my weekend is this picture of “Cork Screw” otherwise known as Corky, that Special K sent me. This is how he spent his weekend.

Cork Screw napping

Wizard shook his head and said, “That dog doesn’t know how good he has it.”  Umm, it looks to me like he knows and takes full advantage!

I think Cork Screw is BLB’s (youngest son) name for him, but then again, it could be Special K (oldest son’s wife)–she’s a wonderful combination of sweet and snark, so she’s fully capable of coming up with a nickname like Cork Screw. She makes Wizard and I so proud, LOL!

Okay your turn–how was your weekend?

What a cute photo of Cork Screw aka Corky. I love the nickname. Wizard’s right, the pup has a really great life :). I love to see happy animals :).

Two weeks until more work on Linc – I think I’ll live cause I know you’ll be working like crazy getting us more reads :).

Is this books revisions the least stressful for you so far? Sounds like it. Your editors comments are so positive too.

We didn’t do much other than house stuff this weekend. We are having tons of work done over the next month or so so my throw trash away challenge is going to be in the background. I’ll get to it all but at a slower rate than planned.

    Have a great day!

Annual chapter writer’s retreat. Small turnout but productive for everyone. Mostly. I gave a workshop on jump-starting creativity when you hit writer’s block. Then I disappeared to try to work on revisions. I have 9 days. I’m almost to muppet flail stage. If I disappear, it’s because I’m lagging behind and I’ll be back after I turn in THE COWGIRL’S LITTLE SECRET. :P

    Have a great week everyone!

Awww, puptart! Cork Screw is an awesome nickname – especially if he usually sleeps like that. LOL

Yay for having light revisions on ETH. You’ll find that plot point and nail it. Then Linc will be ready for you.

It was another ‘weekend, what weekend’ couple of days. I got the proofreading done on WIOH and then entered all the fixes for the flaws I created when I trimmed it down. After which, I read a book – Tears of the Rose by Jeffe Kennedy. Which was pretty amazing. Oh, and we finally had nice enough temps to take a walk. =o)

Viki, Corky really does have a good life and so does their other dog Cookie :-)

I’m not stressed about these revisions at all. I’m still surprised and happy the book worked! I’m more stressed about setting Linc aside because that’s slow going–but it’s part of the job.

Hope all the work on the house goes smoothly!

    Silver, I saw your cover–awesome!

Glad your workshop went well, that’s a topic we all need!

Sounds like you need a social media break so you can concentrate. You’ll get the revisions done but it takes uninterrupted work time to do it.

B.e., yep he sleeps like that a lot :-)

Linc isn’t ready for me–he’s pissed I made him look like an ass. And I’m like… “I made you? Hello?” Okay, yeah, I did give him the curse, and douse him with a lot of sex magic in Key’s book, but still… so anyway, he’s pretty peeved at me right now. LOL!

So awesome that the book is done! Ready to submit! Do it!

I want those cooler temps too! It’s been better here, and I need one more warm weekend for Wizard’s party then let’s have some fall weather, please.
