Happy Friday and Valentine’s Day!

I’m fine, no really, I’m fine. Wait is that Wizard standing behind me, shaking his head no and laughing? Okay, maybe I’m a tad…crazed :-) Wednesday night, I was so upset I told Wizard I refused to discuss the book. I worked till eight oclock, then came downstairs and tried not to think about it.

Thursday morning, I was getting some coffee and Wizard was heating some water for tea and asked me something stupid like, “How’s it going?” I launched into a description of the hybrid half-demon half-human that spawned his demon side in a fiery explosion in Vegas but now he’s hibernating and they all know he’s going to wake, they have to find him before that happens. Oh and by the way humans think this is a terrorist attack because human’s can’t porcess what really happened.

Wizard nodded although I think his eye was twitching. But I didn’t want to bug him about it, so I went on with, “And they have to find the baby, but the heroine, Risa’s a witch so she can do it right?”

“Right?” He started eyeing the wine on the counter which is odd because it was only about 10 in the morning. Kind of early, doncha think? But I didn’t want to nag. “So,” I continued, “she can see her daughter.”

“She can? Isn’t she missing?”

“Of course, with her third eye.”

“Of course.” Wizard is now holding the bottle of wine. Hello? It’s still only 10 am. Okay closer to 10:15 now because maybe I’ve been talking for a few minutes. But Wizard’s retired, maybe I shouldn’t judge? I decide to distract him and go on,  “But the hybrid will wake and when he does, it’s going to be hellish. They must find where he’s hibernating before that…REALLY?” I snap as I see him reach into the cupboard where the wine glasses are. “Are you really going to drink wine at 10 am?”

Slowly, Wizard turned around holding a mug. “I’m making tea. Remember? That’s why I’m standing here at the stove with the kettle of boiling water?”

“Oh.” I um…

After pouring his water over the tea bag, Wizard peered at me. “When was the last time you slept?”

“I slept.” For a couple hours. “But we’re not talking about sleeping, we’re talking about CAGED MAGIC. This all makes sense right?”

“Perfectly.”

I gaped at him. “You really followed that? Honestly?”

He laughed. “I’ve between married to you long enough to know the right answer.”

True, he has. And he spent a good couple hours researching possible vacations. He swears if he books something it’ll be for both of us, not just him. I want to believe that…and also believe that I can really get this book written in some coherent fashion.

So…if you read all that, you deserve a little Valentine’s gift, so here you go!

It all made perfect sense to me. Of course, I’m addlepated today.

Dying Embers is available for Kindle now. I didn’t sleep much last night – and what I did get was filled with bizarre dreams. Someone get me a caffeine IV. Stat!

    He’s lovely, Jenn. Thanks!

And just remember – 10:15am there is 12:15pm here, so if you need a glass of wine, have a glass of wine. Feel free to borrow my time zone. Besides, wine is made with grapes and fruit is perfectly acceptable at breakfast time. ;o)

Bawahaha! This is great. It made perfect sense and Wizard is a very smart man. Cause I do the same thing to Hubs, and he just nods and adds in things like he understands too. — and yes it made sense to me. :D

Being a writer is like being a tad psychotic. :P

Yeah B.E.! So happy for you! I will get it STAT.

We love you Jen and know Linc’s story will be great.

I have a shirt. It says:

    I AM A WRITER
Which, of course, is just another way of saying:
I LIVE IN MY OWN STRANGE FANTASY WORLD
    filled with unrealistic expectations
    THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING

It’s only 9:22 here. And I’ve already eyed the wine in the fridge four times now. Just sayin’…

And FYI? Your explanation made perfect sense. Now go write it. And B.E.’s book rocks!

*flail* See? SEE!?! I’m so distracted I forgot to mention your pressie, Jen. He’s better than chocolate! Or maybe he’d be better WITH chocolate. Or chocolate wine… Ooh. Yeah. Now there’s the ticket! ;)

B.e. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Such awesome news on DYING EMBERS! I bought my copy first thing this morning and it’s on my Kindle now. Of course, I haven’t opened the book yet because I suspect I’ll get hooked and want to read instead of write :-) By the way, I love that cover more each time I see it.

Poor Wizard seriously had to listen to that for a LOT of yesterday. It’s a wonder he doesn’t take up drinking.

LOL on borrowing your time zone! I would except wine makes me tired so I save it for while we cook dinner. Then by the time I go bacl to work, it’s usually worn off.

    Happy Release Day!

Ashlynn, our poor husbands! Wizard actually insists he’s following most of what I’m telling him so I’m sure yours does too.

And thank you for the love :-)

Silver, chocolate wine sounds brilliant :-) And I need that t-shirt!

I snatched up B.E.’s book first thing this morning when I saw it had released!

Glad you all liked the present and have a great Valentine’s Day!

I completely understood you :). I think Wizard did too and I really thought he was going to pour you a glass of wine. But 10:15 AM is a “bit” early ;) unless you look at it like B. E. suggests and it would have been 1:15 PM here :).

Now I hope that Linc is behaving and getting all set for Valentine’s Day tomorrow. What I mean is he better let you be so that you and Wizard can have a nice quiet evening together. He can start bugging you about his story line again on Sunday ;).

Hubs and I decided to go to this little family owned Italian place we love and have been going to for over 20 years for Valentine’s Day dinner. Yesterday middle son asks me where he can take his girlfriend on Saturday. I told him he really cut it too close and wouldn’t be able to get reservations to most places. Then I suggested where we’re going and he liked that idea. So I called and was able to get him and his girl in an hour and a half after us. It’s not expensive and the food is fantastic, so he lucked out.

Have a really wonderful weekend and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Viki, that would have been funny if Wizard had handed me wine :-) but definitely too early.

That was awesome that the Italian place got your son in later today. I hope you all have a great day and delicious dinners!

Oddly enough, I understood all that, which means, you’re not in bad shape at all :D

Either that or we are all as psycho as you are <3

Have a great Valentine's Day everyone!!!
