Weekend Roundup!

So my weekend consisted of:

-Working.

-Finally vacuuming out my closet and looking at all the shoes I can’t wear but wish I could.  This week my doctor proclaimed my bad ankle “warm and boggy.” Ugh. If you need that translated, it means a little swollen and ugly. Yay me. Which is why I’m stuck in boring shoes for now. Part of this may be from hurting it a few weeks ago. Time will tell.

-Trying a new place for breakfast Sunday morning. It was great, although Wizard picked a better breakfast than I did. So next time I’m ordering that!

-Me bugging Wizard for a dog.

-Wizard bugging me for a Mustang (the car, not the horse–I’d totally say yes to the horse!).

-And…I finished the draft for CAGED MAGIC! A little over 100,000 pages words at this point.  (Edited to correct typo: I  meant words but typed pages. Thanks Viki and B.E. for catching that.)

I danced and drank wine late Saturday when I finished that! I have a lot of clean up work to do before I send to it the editor, hopefully this week, but I actually completed the book!  It seems like it took forever, but the way this REALLY worked was that for two years, every time I tried to work on it, something came up and forced me to set the book aside. I probably wrote 300 pages of the book in the last two months and that’s pretty good for me :-)

Now whether its any good or not, I don’t know. We’ll see what the editor says once she gets it. I can’t think about that yet, I just want to fix a couple things and get it as clean as I can very quickly and send it off. Then I need to switch to line edits on EXPOSING THE HEIRESS (working title that will change) the next Once A Marine book.

Plus I have other stuff going on, but nothing fun to talk about yet.

So that was my weekend, how was yours?

Oh your poor ankle. Stay off it and let yourself heal.

I hope you did your happy dance while seated in a chair after finishing CAGED MAGIC:). I do have to laugh – is it really 100,000 pages?

So you had a good weekend, very productive. I can’t wait yo get a hold of Linc.

Mine was spent cooking and cleaning getting ready to start some painting. We have to skip Wed. for the funeral. The autopsy should be done today and we’ll finally have a cause.

    Have a great day!

Writer brain has attacked our lovely Jenn. And yes, 100K words can feel like 100K pages after years of writing. But it’s done and SQUEE! Go Jenn! Bummer about the shoes, though. And your ankle. :hugs:

I worked this weekend – like usual – but I totally dropped the ball on starting the rewrite of SCIU2 yesterday. Alaska: The Last Frontier came on and work went out the window. I’ll get it done. Promise. In other news, Dying Embers is free for Kindle today only – so if any witches haven’t snagged a copy yet, today’s the day. =o)

Yay!! You finished it! *high fives* :D that only means its one step closer to me being able to read it. :D

So sorry about your ankle. That sucks. I can’t wear heels either because sometimes I can’t walk very well and I never know when it will hit. So I get ya. All my cool shoes sit there doing nothing. Bleh!

Last week was my bday and hubs got me a new desk and In-laws got me a new desk chair. Love!! Since I spend most all my time in it. I’m almost done with my short. I wanted to finish it in Feb, but hoping this will finish it.

Viki, LOLOL!! I can’t believe I wrote 100,000 pages! I meant words. Sheesh!

It’s a tough week for you guys. My thoughts are with you. I hope getting some answers helps a bit.

B.E., awesome that the book is free today! I just happened to be awake and reading it early this morning. It’s a cat and mouse game between the killer and cops. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Well, if we count all the pages I deleted, the book *might* have been a 100,000 pages :-)

Ashlynn, Happy Birthday! What an awesome gift! And now you’ll get the short done!

    I want my editing/revising done too :-)
