Wednesday Worthy

I’m doing a bunch of little stuff that is sucking time like a Hoover vacuum. No wonder I put all this stuff off while writing, LOL! I wish details would magically take care of themselves while I’m off reading a book or something.

At least I’m not obsessing about whether or not the editor likes CAGED MAGIC right? Bwhahahaha! Wrong, I can multitask :-)

Oh that reminds me, I recently read an  article that said authors should never tell readers how “hard” it is for them to write a book. Readers don’t want to hear that because then authors are not communicating a positive message. At the same time authors should never appear “too happy” or they will come across contrived and not a real person, someone pretending to be more than they are.

I stopped reading the article. I’ve chosen to be as honest as I’m comfortable while being aware that social media is a public venue. So you guys don’t get the media savvy version, you just get me.

But also, you get this guy! Our Wednesday Worthy Candidate!

Stylized close detailed portrait of masculine handsome young man

So what do you think? Is he worthy? Does he make up for having to deal with honest and unpolished me?

Glad you quit reading that article. We like the real you.

Doing all the little stuff really does suck up time. You’ll feel so good when it’s all done and you’re caught up.

    He is worthy!

I’m having coffee with my girl friend today. Need it. Seems house projects never end. Sat. the faucet in the laundry room broke. Had to replace that plus the shut off valves and reset the tub. Too much money

Bah! I’m glad you are who you are, and you aren’t afraid to show it. I’d rather know real people than fake ones. Writing is hard and anyone who says otherwise is pulling your leg. It’s also a helluva a lot of fun. When it’s not crazy-making. ;o)

Ugh, don’t get me started on all the ways we’re told to be something other than ourselves and how much it all ticks me off.

This one looks like the hero in a paranormal story. His eyes look like they’re glowing. Not sure what species he’d be, but yeah, he’s worthy enough.

So-called social media mavens make it up as they along. No, seriously! ;)

I love this guy’s eyes. I have several of his pics in my inspiration file, and no matter how yummy his chest is, I keep getting drawn to the eyes. No, seriously!

Can we start a countdown for CAGED MAGIC? No pressure or anything.

You can’t be too negative but don’t be too positive….Uh wth? They realize we are author and feel to extremes, right? Otherwise we wouldn’t be authors.

Being real is better than all that hype.

And YES…worthy! I think I have him in a file somewhere.

ooo Countdown to Caged Magic!! Yes!!! :D

    We love you, Jen!!

Viki, on no on the faucet! I’m sorry and you really do need coffee out with your girlfriend. Or maybe a margarita!

I’m making a lot of progress on the smallish stuff, so it’s all good.

B.e, I thought paranormal too when I saw him!

Writing is complex with great highs and sucky lows. Some days there’s magic in the keys that makes words flow and other days, is painful. But what I hate is all the people trying to censor reality. Social media can be a tricky and have completely unexpected landmines.

Hope your making progress with your cover!

Silver, I’m pretty sure we agree on social media folks. I keep getting scared off Twitter with some of the things I see.

    His eyes making him intriguing!

A countdown??? I have to see how ugly the revisions are before I can make a plan for release. Then we’ll do a countdown!

Ashlynn, right???? Exactly what I was thinking when I read that article. And you know, people ARE going to make mistakes. But enough of that.

And thank you :-) You guys are all so awesome and always make my day better!
