Weekend Roundup

This weekend was a blur, and now I’m deep in the trenches of CAGED MAGIC revisions. I’m hoping that once I get this done, I can write more interesting blogs. In the meantime, tell me what’s the last book you absolutely loved and why? For me, I loved WORTH THE RISK by Claudia Conner because both the hero and heroine were damaged by their past and deserved love. The story just drew me in.

Your turn! And how was your weekend?

I think it’s a function of being a writer that the days all blur together. And the books all blur together, so I have no clue how to answer your question.

We did stuff over the weekend. It was good. Yeah, I’m a wordsmith, LOL. Seriously, though, the blur has got me in its grips, so a more interesting description of the activities is not forthcoming. Someone hook up the coffee IV! Stat!

I’m all about the blur. My weekend involved some baseball, a little softball (Okla State beat Baylor YAY!)–all on TV–breakfast out, a recalcitrant Muse who FINALLY decided to whisper sweet nothings in my ear at FREAKING MIDNIGHT Saturday night, and about 3K words written.

I finally broke down and gave into peer pressure. I read Nalini Singh’s entire Psy/Changling series last year but walked away from starting her Guild Hunter series. Yeah, I started book 5, ARCHANGEL’S STORM last night, though I also read all her associated novellas over the weekend, too. This series is pretty much catnip.

I have a book release this week so I’d best get off the net and back to work. Words. I needz them. ;) Have a great week, witches!

Hi Jen – I see you’re deeply involved with Linc ;). I hope he gave you a little time off over the weekend to relax a bit.

I took it easy all weekend. But yesterday the youngest (he works part time for a brokerage firm downtown) took me to a CAVS game :). I hadn’t been to a basketball game since before King James made his little trek to Miami. Glad he’s back home :). We had excellent seats and not only did I get a bobblehead but he also snagged me a t-shirt when the CAVS girls were throwing them out into the crowd. I had SO much fun :). Today – back to the grind ;).

Do you have any results from the doctor about your ankle/foot?

I hope you have a great day :).

B.E., I’m feeling the same way, so no worries! I think we use up all our words and descriptions when we’re working :-)

Viki, I did get a break this weekend, both to hang out with BLB plus Wizard and I went to dinner to celebrate being a Rita Finalist.

Sounds like you had a great time at the game! I’m thrilled to hear it! Bet your new shirt is awesome :-)

My appt with the orthopedist is in a couple weeks. I’m talking the x-ray film with me and they will look at them there. We’ll see what they say then. I’m not in acute pain, just can’t overdo and it bugs me at night so nothing urgent.

Silver!! I just now saw that I missed you when I was replying, sorry! I loved Nalini’s Psy/Changling series, and like her archangel one then somehow lost track. I should go back and catch up.

Which book do you have coming out this weekend???
