Weekend Roundup

How does life keep getting busier? And no matter how much I do, there’s so much more to be done. Anyone else feel that way?

Wizard and I went to CPA Boy and Special K’s house, and we met Max the Maltipoo. He’s such a sweet little pup even though he had to put up with the cone of shame. Max was neutered on last Friday, so the cone stays on until they are sure he’s healed enough. But he’s doing great, recovering very quickly. Cookie and Corky were there too so we had plenty of dogs to play with! Once again I didn’t take pictures :-( I always plan on it, but once I’m there, we’re too busy talking and playing with the dogs to stop and grab my phone.

This next weekend, we get to have Bailey Dog. Middle son and his girlfriend are going on a trip, so Bailey’s coming over to hang out with us. We are both looking forward to that. All these dogs are getting to Wizard — one day he’s going to want one…or two :-)

Moving onto book news: For all the Bloggers/Reviewers who have an account at Netgalley, Blood Magic is available by request. Here’s the link.

And all the books, Blood Magic, Soul Magic, Night Magic and Sinful Magic have been uploaded for pre-order. Sinful Magic may not be showing yet at iTunes and Nook, but it will soon. Now I’m getting the print versions ready and working (slowly!) on the new book (not a Wing Slayer Hunter book).

How was your weekend?

See and I feel like a slouch because I could always be doing more. When people tell me I’m busy, I’m like ‘eh, not really’. But I do take a lot of time for myself – walking, gardening, TV, farting around on the internet, reading. Maybe that’s what you should do. Set aside time for yourself, so you don’t get overwhelmed. Plus, right now you have a ton going on with your books. (YAY!)

Yay for puppy-time! And yay for Bailey coming over!

I’m in what I call ‘spot cleaning’ mode – I spot a mess and then I clean it. Lucky for me, I have selective spotting. I really need to pick a day and clean the whole house straight through, but meh. I wrote some good words this weekend on SCIU #2. Did some work on the cover for Bloodflow. Watched college football. Went for a couple walks. The weather’s getting cooler finally, so walking isn’t a sweaty slog. =o)

I realize it’s the weekend because LG is sleeping in. As soon as I finish this, I’m off to preorder the rest of the Wingslayer Hunters! YAYAYAYAY! And YAY for Bailey Dog time, and time with CPA Boy, Special K, and pup-pups. I can see Wiz weakening. ;)

I think I’ve finally whipped THE DEVIL’S CUT into order. I’m at least moving forward with the story. Sort of. Woke up at 4 a.m. and worried I have a timeline glitch in RDR#4 that I need to fix one way or another. That’s next on my to-do list after preorders. ;)

We had thunderstorms this morning but no rain. Rained north and south but not here. :( Gonna be hot this week and then cool off. I’m ready for fall.

Off to finish my morning procrastination then to work.

B.E., you are busy! i think you manage stress a bit better than I do. I’ve been trying though :-)

Spot cleaning works too. I do more of that these days. But I miss that feeling of the whole house being clean.

    Yay for cooler weather!

Silver, he’s definitely weakening but three dogs is too much for us. Those two love it and have fun, so it’s great for them. The dogs really are adorable.

Ugh on the heat and no rain. But cooler weather is on it’s way so that’s something.

Great news on getting DC in order! Hope the timeline issues is an easy fix on the on RDR #4.

I’m so glad you took some time to relax this weekend and see the pups and their human parents.

Digging into a new book :). Any hints?

My weekend was standard – nothing exciting. It’s good that way at times ;).

    Have a great evening.

Viki, I agree! Standard and not exciting means we can relax a little :-)

Just working on the book I want to write, but it’s early yet so not much to tell.

Hope you have a great night too!
