Wednesday Worthy

Wizard and I went to see The Intern yesterday — I liked it. Anyone seen it yet?  I thought Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway did a good job.

On the work front, I’m writing! It’s slow and crazy-making as I write a scene, then find I only like one-third of the scene. So I dismantle the scene, keep the third I like and toss out the rest, and rewrite the scene around the part I kept. Then I write another scene and realize  I need to move change two things in the first scene, so I go back and fix that…and somehow out of this insanity a book will emerge…eventually. But I have learned to trust my writer instincts.

Plus this is fun! Seriously, I get to meet these new people and play in their world :-)

Now for our candidate. I chose this guy because as I was scrolling past all the options, I saw him and he reminded me a little of Hugh Jackman. Then when I looked closer I didn’t see it as much. But you decide.

So what do you think? Is he worthy?

And be sure to come back Friday for a Guest Blog/Interview with Niki Daninger (aka Ban).

I’m not a huge fan of DeNiro, but that movie looks like it’ll be fun. I’m so glad you guys liked it. You’ll get the book done and it’ll be awesome. Trust yourself, trust the process, trust that it will all work out in the end. (I am telling myself this, too, btw. LOL.) I’m glad you’re having fun with it. I’m so close to the end of this damn book, but I’m having fun again, so it’s all good. Not sure if I’ll get it done today, though. By the end of the week, for sure, if I keep my head down and don’t get distracted by the edit notes due today or tomorrow.

I declare him worthy! Of course, there’s something about him that reminds me of Hubs, so naturally, he’s worthy. This dude’s got a longer face and a beard, but still. Those eyes. :swoon:

Uhm…Jen? Yeah, he’s worthy because he’s the model for Duke Reagan in DOUBLE CROSS. LOLOL ;) (Duke’s one of my genetically enhanced Navy SEALs)

So glad you’re working on the new project. I’m looking forward to reading it! I think I’m over the hump on DEVIL and I got good news on another project but I can’t share yet. It means I need to get DEVIL done by next week if at all possible! Work, work, work. But writing is fun again, isn’t it? That makes all the difference!

How many days until BLOOD MAGIC’s re-release? :D

B.E., it’s important to have fun with the books sometimes. The beginning is more fun for me when the characters begin surprising me.

    Yay you’re almost finished!!

I know how you feel watching for the edit notes. It’s hard not to get distracted by that.

I like how real this guy looks too. And he reminds you of hubs? Love that!

Silver, I read your enhanced SEAL book and enjoyed it very much! This guy is the perfect model :-)

Now WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN’T SHARE YOU KNOW IT’S GOING TO DRIVE ME CRAZY!! Come on! This kind of teasing is cruel :-(

And awesome that you’re over the hump on DEVIL :-)

Shoot I meant to add in the 5 days until release graphic. But to answer your question 5 days! I hope people like it even if the writing isn’t my current style. On the other hand, much of how I write now, I learned on those books…but not sure what that means, LOL!

    Happy Hump Day!

He’s worthy but not my type ;).

I thought the movie looked cute but I’ll have to wait for DVD. Never really get to the movies anymore. I like DeNiro and Anne together. Did Wizard like it?

I feel for you. But like you said, it’s all part of your writing style. And you know, it works :).

    Have a great day :).

Viki, not your type, huh? I have to think about that one :-)

How’s your cut on your head? Healing okay?

Yeah, my process is what it is. Given all the craziness of trying to get the Wing Slayer books out, I know I need to cut myself a little slack and just enjoy writing for a while.
