Wednesday Worthy

Whew, okay we got Blood Magic launched with one small glitch (so far).  On the print copy of Blood Magic, which I had set up for weeks, they decided the night before release they needed proof that I held the copyright.

But you know what? I am NOT mad. Nope, I am GRATEFUL. Sure it may have cost me sales, but Create Space is clearly working to prevent piracy and I applaud and support that wholeheartedly. So that glitch is one I don’t really mind. I had all the documentation so they cleared it last night and hopefully it’ll be back on sale today.

And hopefully the next three books release on their dates with the same ease :-) Sometimes, all the prep work and agony really do pay off.

Now I’d like to take a moment to thank all of YOU for helping with promo. I appreciate that so much! I see most of it, and every time, I am truly grateful. Word of mouth (even via social media) is the most powerful tool we have to spread the word about books. Reviews also help tremendously. So thank you!

I’m also working on the new book. It’s slow but when I do actually focus, I’m really falling for Justice and Liza Beth.  But man, I wish I could warn these two what is coming down the pike for them. There’s a little part of me that’s yelling, “Guys, watch out!” But if I warn them, I doubt they’d listen any more than my kids ever listened :-)

Now for our Wednesday Worthy. I’m frankly bored with the selection of guys. And with that stellar and exciting introduction…here’s our candidate:

handsome young bodybuilder showing of his fit body and muscles

So what do yo think, is he worthy?

Wow. I wonder if Createspace did that because it had been previously published with a traditional house. Because obviously, you’re you. I agree, though – better to have them question whether it’s you than them not question and it be someone who’s trying to pirate your work. Like a store asking for photo ID when you write a check. I appreciate that stuff. =o)

Ugh, I have to find time somewhere. I want to re-read Blood Magic, but I’m jammed. When I find the time, I will refresh my memory of the story and then review it. I hope your sales take off and everybody reads your books. :hugs:

This guy’s a good study in musculature, but I don’t know if he’s worthy. I think any of the Wing Slayer’s would mess him up bad. He’s too pretty. Might make a good model for sculpting or painting.

Only used this guy on the cover of BLOOD MOON. So yeah, I think he’s worthy! LOLOL

I agree on the whole copyright thing. Better to be covered and your ebook sales are taking up the slack!

Oh, Justice and Liza Beth…watch out! Y’all better have your seatbelts fastened. I have an inkling of what Jen is going to put y’all through. *bwahahaha*

Happy Hump Day, witches! I’m procrastinating but yeah…getting back to work. Soon. After I finish checking blogs. And getting another cup of coffee. And… ;)

B.e., yep that exactly why Create Space did it, and it was a reasonable concern. I simply sent them the scanned reversion letters and they fixed it. So it’s all good.

While I love reviews, don’t let it add to your work load. Just read when you have time and feel like it. It’s more fun that way :-)

LOL on the Wing Slayers messing this poor guy up. That just struck me as funny when I saw your comment this morning.

Silver, I went back and looked at the cover. He worked really well on it!

So true. I’m stunned at what some of these pirates are doing — it’s so blatant. (And FYI — I don’t care about people sharing books with friends, I encouraged that wholeheartedly.)

Yep you do know so maybe Justice and Liza Beth should listen to you :-)

More coffee sounds good to me too.

I’m sorry for the glitch in release but like you said it’s good that they are following up on rights. It seems like every time I turn around work is being pirated. It’s maddening. Now that they have worked through this release I hope the other books will run smooth.

I have a q about the new book. Does Justice’s name fit him to a T? I like it :).

    The guy is worthy.

    Have a great evening!

Viki, thanks on the glitch, but like you, I’m glad they are doing the right thing and trying to control piracy. I’ve seen some really crazy schemes lately.

Hmm, Justice’s name fits him in a weird, roundabout way as an injustice shaped him. However he’s not Sloane and out for specific revenge. I hope that makes sense.

Liza Beth is Liza, Sloane’s assistant, from The Plus One Chronicles :-)

Thanks for the giving us a little bit on Liza. I love that you’re creating a new story that can connect back to characters we know.

Have a really great Thursday :)!

Oh, I loved your FB post. Did Wizard pour more wine?

Viki, yes he did :-) I hate it when he asks me where I am in the book. It’s so fluid as the characters come to life for me. I keep working and reworking until it’s right.
